Umpires need to call more fouls at a younger age level. I've seen many PAL town teams that are made up of premier players who know how to fool the ump and take advantage of less experienced opponents. Granted-they are taught this by their parents/coaches but umsportsmanlike conduct at 11/12yo affects everyone. In my 7 years of coaching I have repeatedly seen the Yellow Jackets at every age level play physical, dirty, and intentional checking games. Not only does it take away from the integrity of the game it doesn't teach a young girl to play correctly. Just my 2 cents...
