THE 2019 GIRLS BOTC MEDIA ALL LONG ISLAND TEAMS

Back Of The CAGE is proud to announce the first ever inagural BOTC Media All-Long Island Teams. The three teams are compiled by our staff and contributors along with weekly, monthly and year-end nominations made by fans of the game backed with supporting data and coaches that participated.  The diverse group of opinions provides a strong consensus of the top players from all of Long Island including the players from the different conferences, divisions & leagues in Nassau County, Suffolk County, Catholic High Schools & Private Schools, although there is so much talent making this extremely difficult.  

 

BOTC MEDIA ALL LONG ISLAND TEAMS 

 

1ST TEAM
 
  • A-Caroline DeBellis, Cold Spring Harbor, Sr. - The Duke signee is one of the top leading goal scorers on the island with 74 goals and 19 assists helping the Seahawks to back-to-back Long Island Championships and winning the NY State Championship. Earned US Lacrosse All-American and All County honors in 2018.
  • A-Katie DeSimone, St. Anthonys, Jr. - Two straight seasons posting 60+ goals and being one of the top leaders in points on Long Island. Registered 67 goals and 24 assists with 12 games scoring 3 or more goals. Earned US Lacrosse All-American in 2018 and is committed to Duke University.
  • A-Danielle Pavinelli, Northport, Jr. - The leading point scorer on Long Island (127) with 91 goals and 36 assists helped the Tigers to a Suffolk Class A title with 2g, 4a and a Long Island Championship adding 5g & 1a.  Amassed over 300 career points.  Signed to the University of Florida. 
  • A-Arden Tierney, Sacred Heart, Sr. - Had two consecutive seasons with 64+ goals and was #4 in points in the CHSAA. Earned 1st Team Newsday All Long island and 1st Team All State in 2018.  Signed to the University of Richmond. 
  • M-Kasey Choma, Easport-South Manor, Sr. - The Notre Dame signee is a 6-year varsity starter who helped the Sharks win the Class B NY State Championship with being consistent all season scoring 71 goals and adding 24 assists. She has ammassed over 300 career points and earned All-American last year.
  • M-Oliva Carner, Northport, Sr. - Surpassed 200 career goals (243) and 300 career points (378) as a 6-year varsity starter. Contributed 62 goals and 37 assists helping the Tigers to the win the Class A State Championship which has not been done for 8 years. The Duke signee earned All-American in 2018.
  • M-Jennifer Barry, Middle Country, Sr. Had back-to-back seasons with 40+ goals with this year scoring 49 goals & adding 41 assists helping the Mad Dogs to consecutive Suffolk County final appeareances. Earned Honorable Mention All American in 2018 and is signed to play at Boston University.
  • D-Olivia Dooley, Manhasset, Sr. - The senior played an integral role in helping the Indians to a Long Island Championship.  Earned Newsday 2nd Team All Long Island in 2018 and is signed to play lacrosse at USC.
  • D-Katie Goodale, Riverhead, Jr. The Syracuse commit recorded back-to-back seasons in the 30-30-30 club consisting of draw controls, caused turnovers and groundballs. Earned 3rd Team All-State as a sophomore and is a member of the U-19 National Team.
  • D-Catherine Flaherty, Eastport-South Manor, Sr. The Univiersity of Maryland signee is one of the top individual and team defenders in the country who helped ESM to back-to-back Class B Suffolk County titles and to the NY State Championship. 
  • D-Sophia Taglich, Cold Spring Harbor, Sr. - Leader in caused turnovers and groundballs the past two seasons who earned 1st Team All State last season who helped the Seahawks to a two-peat of the Long Island Championship. Signed to Boston College.
  • G-Claire Morris, Northport, Sr. - A 5 year varsity starter who had 153 saves and finished with 600 career saves played a huge role in helping the Tigers win the Class A State Championship. Signed to play lacrosse at the Ohio State. 
 
 
2ND TEAM 
  • A-Ashley Gonzalez, Half Hollow Hills, Jr. - A varsity starter since 8th-grade who was named Suffolk County Rookie of the Year in 2016 who is five goals shy of 200 career goals after scoring 67 goals and adding 21 assists. Committed to the University of Florida.
  • A-Riley Hoeg, Mattituck/Southold, Sr. A 5-year starter who registered 30+ assists in every season with 46 assists this year who played a huge role in a repeat of winning the Class D State Championship.. A 1st Team Newsday All Long Island selection and 2nd Team All State who is signed to play at the University of Virginia.
  • A-Sophie Alois, Middle Country, Sr. - Finished the season #2 in points (100) in Suffolk County. The 5-year varsity starter and captain quarterbacked the offense & team to making it back to the Suffolk Finals contributing 79 goals & 21 assists combined with All-Division and All County honors who will be playing lacrosse at Cornell University.
  • A-Melissa Sconone, East Islip, Sr. - The Captain is a 3x MVP and 3x All County selection who finished with 36 goals and 39 assists. Ranked as the 3rd top attacker in the class of 2019 who will be playing division I lacrosse at the University of North Carolina.
  • M-Kayla Kielbasa, Riverhead, Sr. - An Honorable Mention All-American selection last season scored 43 goals and added 16 assists this year.  Signed NLI to Penn State University.
  • M-Emily Heller, West Babylon,  Sr. - One of the top draw specialists who also added 47 goals and 23 assists this season.  Earned Honorable Mention All American in 2018 and is committed to the University of Florida.
  • M-Isabelle Smith, Westhampton, Jr. - The junior registered her 200th career goal in the first game of the year and now has 237 career goals after manufacturing 42 goals and 32 assists this season.  Earned All-American honors as a sophomore and is committed to Boston College.
  • M/D-Mackenzie Hoeg, Mattituck/Southold, Jr.  The Tuckers top goal-scorer (56), points leader (78) and draw-controller who helped them to back-to-back State titles. Was the  MVP of the 2018 state Class D tournament Committed to the University of Virginia.
  • D-Daisy Willard, Long Beach, Sr. - The leader of the defense who is a ground ball machine and one of the top one-on-one defenders on the island. Signed to Binghamton.  
  • D-Chloe Hoschel, Northport, Sr. - An aggressive defender who has helped the Tigers to win the Class A State Championship. Signed to Stony Brook University.
  • D-Emily Timarky, Middle Country, Sr. - A shutdown defender and defensive midfielder who is headed to play at Quinnipiac University.
  • G-Lexie Kotsalidis, Kings Park, Sr. - The JMU signee had 202 saves this season and earned honorable mention All County in 2018. 
 
3RD TEAM
  • A-Ali Susskind, Bayshore, Jr. - Manufactured 89 points this season and is committed to the Richmond.
  • A-Isabelle Vitale, Cold Spring Harbor, Sr. - Stepped up this year putting up 58 goals & 56 assists tied for 3rd most in Nassau County helping the Seahawks to the Class C State Championship. 
  • A-Emma Ward, Babylon, Jr. - The Syracuse commit scored 63 goals & added 30 assists finishing #5 in points in Suffolk. Her second year posting over 80 points and is 2x All County selection. 
  • A/M-Courtney Corolla, Ward Melville, Sr. - Finishing with 59 goals & 43 assists tied for 4th in points in Suffolk County. Signed to play lacrosse at Syracuse University.
  • M-Kayla Kielbasa, Riverhead, Sr. - An Honorable Mention All-American selection last season scored 43 goals & added 16 assists this year. Also a 2x All County selection in Field Hockey & Lacrosse.  She signed her NLI to Penn State University.
  • M-Hollie Schleicher, Westhampton, Sr. -  One of the best two way middies who is a 2x All County selection. Signed to Boston College. 
  • M-Jaden Hampel, West Islip, Jr. A do it all type midfielder who recorded 29 goals & 37 assists Earned Newsday 2nd Team All Long Island, Honorable Mention All-American & 3rd Team All-State in 2018. Committed to Stony Brook.
  • D/M-Anna Fraschilla, Locust Valley, Sr. - A 3x All County selection who led the Falcons with 47 goals and 26 assists. Committed to the College of the Holy Cross.
  • D-Isabella Hubbard, Northport, Sr. - The Pace signee played an integral role in helping the Tigers to win a NY State title and only 1 loss all year.
  • D-Danielle Carson, Wantagh, Sr. - The 2x All County defender has been the backbone to the Warriors defense the past two seasons. Signed to USC.
  • G-Maya Santa-Maria,  Huntington, Jr. - The Michigan commit made more than 58% of saves with 126. 
 
 
HONORABLE MENTION TEAM:
  • A-Regan Kielmeyer, Smithtown West, Sr. - #2 in assists in Suffolk County (48) signed to Loyola.  
  • A-Janine Suris, Smithtown West, Sr. - Signee to the University of Florida scored 55 goals & added 13 assists. 
  • A-Amanda Kozak, Floral Park, Jr. - Scored 53 goals & added 29 assists ranking in the top 10 for points in Nassau. Committed to Fairfield University.
  • A-Lauren Kenny, Riverhead, Sr. - Headed to play at Stony Brook University.
  • A-Alyssa Levy, East Islip, Jr. - Verbally committed to Brown.
  • A-Rebecca Korn, Syosset, Sr.- Signed to Binghamton University.
  • A-Jacqueline Mason, Bayport, Jr.- Verbally committed to Brown.
  • A-Gabby Sartori, Mt. Sinai, Sr.- 3 year varsity starter who is signed to Brown.
  • A-Caitlin Colbert, North Shore, Sr.- Has excellent field vision and is signed to Monmouth.
  • A-Ella Heaney, Garden City, Sr.- Finished with 65 points and is signed to USC.
  • A-Megan Brockbank, Bayport, Jr.- Verbally committed to Umass Lowell.
  • A-Regina DiChiara, Plainedge, Jr.- Verbally committed to East Carolina.
  • A/M-Samantha Filippi, ESM, Jr.- Played a big role in winning the states. Had an overtime winning goal who is committed to Princeton.
  • M-Kendall Halpern, Syossset, Jr.- The 4 year starter & 2x All County selection had 12 games with 3 or more goals who is committed to Northwestern.
  • M-Charlotte Verhulst, St. Anthonys, Sr.- Headed to Stony Brook in the fall after dominating at the draw & putting up 51 points
  • M-Grace Tauckus, Cold Spring Harbor, Sr.- Helped the Indians to back-to-back Long Island Championships. Signed to Princeton University.
  • M-Brianna Lamourex, Rocky Point, Sr.- Signed to the University of Maryland.
  • M-Kristina Kallansrude, Jericho, Sr.- The Adelphi signee was the Captain of the Jayhawks & a 5-year varsity starter who manufactured 53 goals & 26 assists this season surpassing 300 career points. 
  • M-Liana McDonnell, Garden City, Sr.- Signed to play at Stanford.
  • M-Emma Tyrell, Mt. Sinai, Sr.- Signed to play at Syracuse.
  • M-Jenny Markey, Mt. Sinai, Jr.- Verbally committed to Syracuse.
  • M-Danielle Marino, West Islip, Sr.- 2x All County selection signed to Syracuse.
  • M-Kerrin Heuser, Hicksville, Sr.- Finished with 63 goals this season surpassing the 200 career goal milestone (225). Signed to play lacrosse at Stony Brook University.   
  • M-Maria Themelis, Manhasset, Jr. - Verbally committed to UPenn.
  • D-Colleen Mooney,  St. Anthonys, Sr. - Has been the Friars top defender the past 2 years & is off to play lacrosse at Amherst. 
  • D-Christina Biscardi, Sacred Heart, Sr. - Signed to play at Duke University. 
  • D-Catherine Robles, Mt. Sinai, Jr. - Verbally committed to LIU Post.
  • D-Julia Steneck, Bayport, Jr. - Committed to Quinnipiac University.
  • D-Ava Burns, Miller Place, Sr. - Signed to Duke.

  • G-Emily Lamparter, Mt. Sinai, So. - The Maryland commit saved ~65% of shots on goal.
  • G-Emily Graven, Garden City, Sr. - Signed to Georgetown University. 
  • G-Reiley Agres, Farmingdale, Sr. - The BU commit made 142 saves.
