THE FARMINGDALE HIGH SCHOOL LACROSSE TEAM PAY IT FORWARD & SHOWING THE TRUE MEANING OF THE SLOGAN, NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE

NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE

At the beginning of the 2017/2018 season, the entire Farmingdale Athletics department dedicated the year to Bella Inzerillo while the Girls Lacrosse team have made Bella apart of their team and she has impacted the players perspective on life through the strength and courage that Bella has & displays everyday.

Bella Inzerillo is a 4 year old Farmingdale NY resident who was recently diagnosed with Pediatric Brain Cancer.  In Farmingdale, there is a saying, Once a Daler, Always a Daler and the slogan No One Fights Alone is something that the Farmingdale Girls Lacrosse team have embraced. They named Bella their honorary captain this year & the Head Coach, Tracy Wiener and Captains Maria Krieg, Hannah Rzempoloch, Julia Cambria, Brianna McGowan and McKenzie Gaghan presented Bella with her 2018 honorary uniform - she was given the legacy number 6 for the girls lacrosse team.

She embodies everything a Daler is, strong and hard, team captain Maria Krieg told News 12.

Throughout the year, the team has done various fundraisers to help raise awareness for Pediatric Brain Cancer and to help raise money to the Blessings for Bella foundation with most recently raising over 1400 dollars through the Blessings for Bella online store with the help of local retailer, Long Island Athletics. The seniors will regularly visit Bella at her home before games, send her videos telling her that they are thinking about her and celebrated her 4 year old Birthday this past January among so much more.

On top of the girls team, the boys lacrosse team led by Captains Brodie Agres and Brian Michaels, have also helped in this great cause.  Senior Captain Brian Michaels shaved his head with efforts of raising awareness and money to Childhood Cancer Research & Stand in Solidarity With Kids Fighting Cancer.

What the Farmingdale community have done and what the Farmingdale Girls Lacrosse Team continue to do is truly inspirational, admirable and they truly embody the characterstics of being a team, a Daler and showing the true meaning behind the slogan, No One Fights Alone.
