Regarding online presences for exposure for our kids, are they necesary?

We are new to this, which service would be best?

Thanks for the help.

I'm no expert and certainly can't speak for everyone, but my daughter is a junior and has been contacted by several college coaches and is almost ready to verbally commit to a school. She did not have any online presence or website, but what she did have was a club coach who told her how and when to make contact with the schools she was interested in. She also emailed links to game video and her club coach also contacted the college coaches via email and in person when she saw them at tournaments. And of course, her team played at the recruiting tournaments.
