I meant the Smash have a kid on defense who takes alot of cheap shots..typical 631 lax

How can you take cheap shots when the ball is never in the defensive zone

I am not one to defend Smash but my son's team played them a couple of times and I did not see any cheap shots by anyone.I thought they played as clean as any other team.

Agree. Smash is a very talented & clean team. Hardnosed? For sure. But they are, by far, THE TEAM TO BEAT in the 2022 grade from LI.

All of these "cheap shot"-type posts are just inflamed jealousy.

And before anyone goes there - NOT a 91 parent. I just love the way this team plays.

How dis Smash do against the 2021 Jester A team? I heard a lot of talk from those Jester parents that they are too good to play 2022 teams.

Smash won 6-2. Good close game. Think it was 2-2 for awhile.

Watched Express play Team LI yesterday. Let's just say I came away very impressed with Team LI.

Team LI legit. Saw game Sunday. Express missing
a few key players, but team LI was better at this stage.
Came away thinking they are est team in that age group.
And yes I've seen smash and igloo play.

Played that TLI team last year. They are very good. I wonder if they play Smash or Igloo this summer?

Here we go again with the TLI stuff. Nice that they beat Express, who may not even be top 5 in this age group on LI. Stop talking until you beat Smash, Igloo, or even United.

Team LI beat united very soundly in Stony Brook last year. They also added a few players that are huge additions to their team. I have no clue who they can or can not beat but they are very good.

Not true.....way more than 14.....again, not making
excuses for express, TLI was better. And I complimented
them saying they are better than the other teams.

They go by US lax rules. They have 2 . Ones very good and beat 91 orange 2021 last year you can decide yourself how the age thing effects it, a team that takes6 graders born before September vs a team that takes kids left back

United also beat them at Hersey last year and have added a lot more players.

Unfortunately for United, its not a 91 run tourney-therefore no biased refs......

Who's pumping fist? Im an express dad who saw team LI play for the first time and I was very impressed. They were real strong in cage and their ball movement was fantastic. We couldn't stop them especially once team LI got the ball in their offensive end. We had no answers for their attack.

United is under rated. I think they beat a very solid Igloo team recently by 6 or more goals. Bias refs can't make up that many goals. Give 91 credit for having 2 of the 3 best teams in this age group with the other being TLI.

Again....united is not in the top 3 teams.

and minutemen trying to get to the level of those 3.
Then legacy, jesters, outlaws distant after that.

Actually Igloo is overrated. How can you rank these teams like that Quint. TLI doesn't play , United beat Igloo at Shamrock ( oh I forgot the refs cheated ) It's Smash , United. No question.

Wrong Smash not on top

Smash beat my son's older team at Shamrock in the first game of the day. At no time did any of our team parents feel the refs cheated. The game was close going into the second half so there was reason to cheat if they wanted to. The refs called the game fair. Smash won and we lost that simple. Please don't take anything away from these kids who are 9 and 10 by saying the refs cheat.

igloo has beaten united several times ,united has won 1 game .lets not get to crazy ,they will meet again

Thanks smash parent but we all know 91 run tournaments are stacked in 91 favor from their schedule to refs. No big deal smash is excellent but better to just keep quiet and enjoy. I was at shamrock my son was playing on the field above the turf and I heard a commotion on the turf it was igloo vs a 91 team, I watched 10 minutes of it and saw some refs that should favored the 91 team in a way like I have never seen before. 91 is a great organization based on their results and would probably win regardless but don't pretend they don't stack their tournaments

Can someone please tell the score of the smash vs united game.
I believe it was 11-1 or something. So don't say it's smash and united
as the top teams. Seems united is not even close. They are the B team.

Are you kidding me? Igloo has beaten united every time with the exception of this years shamrock shootout. I have never ever seen a game like that. The bias was off the charts. The one ref, didn't even know the rules. Every call was so blatantly wrong it was embarrassing. Igloo played half the game a man down. Almost every united goal was when they were a man up. Those refs were a disgrace , and to think they were paid for that performance. United is a GOOD Team. But don't gloat over that performance. You are better than that. In all my years around lacrosse, I have never seen anything like the calls made in that game.

Notice I said Smash then United. In the English language you write from left to right As far as Igloo beating United several times. They played twice this lacrosse year. Igloo won by a goal at Halloween and lost by a few at Shamrock. No question that Smash is well above all the 2022's

OC beach lax Smash and Dbacks in same bracket both young teams play up in A division. Should be a good one.

Looking forward to it. Dbacks are the only 2022 team to ever beat Smash. And to pre-empt the hating, I know they're only 10, I know the game isn't being televised on ESPNU, and I know the highlights won't be on Sportscenter.

I am just excited to see my son play against great competition in MD.
