No, they are not.
They are both in division 1, not the A division. Both of these towns, along with West Islip chose to stay out of the A division in 6th grade. Each town that plays PAL was given the opportunity to put a team in "A" division in 5th and 6th grades.
5th grade has 10 towns in their A division, 6th grade only has 7.

Which towns have teams in 5th "A" division.

Look at page 4 of this discussion

GC has equal teams, no "A" team.

I think many of you are confusing boys with girls. Boys NCPAL are allowed to for A,B,C teams in 5th & 6th grade only. Girls teams must enter balanced teams in every grade.

That is because GC and wi 7th grade had the dads that pushed things... Now that they are out of PAL. What are the next towns to care. Do the crush boys play pal?

Not sure I understand what you are saying about GC and WI 7th grade dads pushing things. Are you sayihng it was good, bad? What are you implying about the 5th and 6th? That they care or they don't care?

Hey Cage - Any chance of splitting this thread into Boys and Girls? I think it would help to clear up some of the confusion regarding different rules and guideline for the two genders. Thanks.

Most of the good Suffolk teams play in the Nassau PAL league -West Islip, Northport, SWR, Three Villages, etc. While the addition of these team is good for competition, it's actually kind of annoying for the Nassau teams who have to travel.

Yeah, please fill us in with your infinite wisdom - to call ANY town, team or group of kids a 'joke' .....is in fact a joke itself - you will need to back your opinion up with some facts as to why.....not to mention you hid behind an Anonymous post cutting a specific team of boys down - which makes you not only a jerk, but a coward as well

In response to the above poster talking about Suffolk teams in Nassau PAL -- What PAL should do is if a team from Suffolk wants to play in the Nassau County PAL league - Any games against Nass. County teams should be AWAY (Only have home games if they play another Suff. team) .... but than again, who am I to suggest something sensible

First games are the last weekend of March. Their calendar is cut off at the bottom, but you can work back from the second games:

Any news on the Oyster Bay Lacrosse League for Spring 2014? I would have thought they would have their own thread by now. Maybe I missed it.

OBLL started first week in March last year. Obviously not the case this year. It would be nice to get an idea when it will start.

There is almost always a conflict between the PAL Festival and
the Start of Summer Travel Lacrosse. PAL Organization(Leadership for Lacrosse) really does not care,it is always brought up to run the Festival sooner so there is no conflict with Summer travel but it does not happen. The Response to any who questions it is if you want to find the fields and run with go ahead.

I thought the former Turf Island 2021 Team, that is now playing for Icon has a bunch of Rockville Centre players. Why wouldn't the R.V.C. 5th grade PAL team go in the A division if that's the case? Wouldn't you rather challenge the team, than go 8-0 and have the 3 pass rule every game?

Who says these kids play PAL? RVC also has a travel program. Many kids play there and a club team, but not PAL.

They sent the schedule out to the guys who guys who run each town. It shows who you play and where. Each town fills in the starting time slots for all of their home games this week and submits them next weekend.

This falls under the rules category but applies to PAL. Where did the kids, coaches and officials come up with the "modified" body check where as they touch two hands together on the stick and push the other player. I have asked PAL and game officials for clarification but nobody can give me a straight answer. Rules say no checking at some ages....

That A team was beat over weekend in rockstar league by the express so called b team so I guess the statement the "team to beat" is now past tense as I stayed behind after our game and witnessed this outcome .
