Spalding is turning into a longshot to win the title. Not only has their play been highly disappointing, but the players are starting to miss practice to hide from their "Senior Assassin". These kids are a joke to the league. I heard even RH missed practice the other day to sneak up on a fellow female classmate in the women's locker room to secure the kill. Spalding better get their act together before the season is over.

Lolzing @ the FL dads coming here to puff their chest because they beat our backups and freshmen in a spring break tune-up scrimmage.
You know why?
Because there is not one good FL conference. And no one cares about FL lax.
Now that miaa teams are into league play, we will see where the miaa teams really stand as they start game planning and trying for real. Ohhhh, I see – now that the mighty MIAA teams couldn’t beat some Florida squads, suddenly the excuse train pulls into the station: “But we weren’t even trying! Just wait until we actually put in effort!” Hilarious. So, let me get this straight: when you’re winning, it’s because you’re the best. When you’re losing, it’s because you weren’t even trying? Classic. If nothing else, MIAA parents stay consistent: always the best, always above everyone else, and always ready with an excuse when reality doesn’t match the hype. Also, gotta love how the NE region teams somehow fit into this masterpiece of logic. I guess they must be just like the Florida teams too – only good because you weren't “trying.” Makes sense. The MIAA world must be fascinating, where every loss is just a case of not giving your best. Comedy gold

[quote=Anonymous]What’s going on with McD? Are there injuries or something? Yes. They are sitting people out in FL to keep them healthy for conference games. Those drooling over MIAA teams losing in Florida really have no clue. Hilarious! Poor little MIAA just can’t handle taking a beating, can it? First, PA rolls in and smacks you around. Then you all regroup, flee south, and get pummeled by the Florida teams—double ouch! The horror of it all! And what do we hear? The same tired excuses: “We don’t care,” “We have injuries,” “It’s all about the conference,” “It’s only spring break.” Yeah, sure. Keep telling yourselves that. It’s adorable how you clutch your pearls and whimper about meaningless spring games—right up until the moment your teams get trounced. Then, suddenly, injuries and conference priorities come pouring out. Gotta protect those star players so they can trot back home and lose some more—because, let’s face it, the MIAA hasn’t exactly been lighting it up lately. You sit there acting like Baby WaWa, crying and complaining instead of admitting you got beat again. MIAA parents in chorus “I can so sit here while crying and complaining. Sound familiar? Here’s a thought: how about you toughen up, own the losses, and move on like grown-ups? At least then the rest of us wouldn’t have to endure the endless chorus of excuses. But hey, if you’d rather keep living in denial, by all means carry on, MIAA parents. We’ll just be over here, watching you pile on the next excuse while you pretend it doesn’t matter. [quote=Anonymous][quote=Anonymous][quote=Anonymous]What’s going on with McD? Are there injuries or something? Yes. They are sitting people out in FL to keep them healthy for conference games. Those drooling over MIAA teams losing in Florida really have no clue. Just another excuse the same as " these dont mean much as we are preparing for the MIAA grind". Sorry folks, MIAA is not that elite anymore. Does it have some well trained players and good teams, absolutely, just dont go playing other good teams and use excuses as you get beat. Not a good look . You really have no clue. Just like college, really good players with minor injuries are sat during nonconference games to save them for conference games because in the end, that’s all that matters, conference games, not little spring break games in Florida that clearly get Florida dads thinking they the king. You can't keep cutting both sides of this argument. "The legacy is fake because....it's 100% legacy. High five!" Then there's the fact that zero data supports your whiny opinion. There's 250+ athletic conferences in this country. In the top 25 for lacrosse, 13 are recognized. MIAA holds 6 spots. NESCAC holds 4. 3 others hold 2 each. The other 240+ conferences hold either 1 or 0 spots in the top 25. Based on grownup math, the MIAA is pretty special again this year, as it is many (not all) years. Again, you want the estrogen BLOCKER, not the estrogen pills. Oh wow, SIX whole MIAA teams in the Top 25? Stop the presses! Tell me, do they hand out bonus points for historical relevance now, or is the ranking committee just grading on a nostalgia curve? Because last I checked, actually winning games used to matter—but hey, if you’d rather flex math instead of results, by all means, keep pretending your conference isn’t slowly becoming the lacrosse version of that aging gym bro still bragging about his high school stats. And let’s be real—if the MIAA were half as elite as you claim, you wouldn’t need a disclaimer for every loss. ‘We sat our starters!’ ‘It’s just spring break!’ ‘The refs, the weather, the alignment of Jupiter—’ Just say you got outplayed and move on. But no, it’s always ‘Well, actually…’ like a kid explaining why his science fair project failed. The funniest part? The rest of the country isn’t even thinking about the MIAA. They’re too busy winning while you’re up here doing mental gymnastics to spin losses into some kind of 4D chess strategy. Keep telling yourself these games ‘don’t matter’—right up until you do win one, and suddenly it’s proof of dominance. The cognitive dissonance is stunning. Bottom line? Excuses are like Meanywholes — everyone’s got one, and yours are starting to @ChillLaxin. But sure, keep polishing those participation rankings. The rest of us will be over here, watching actual contenders play without an instruction manual of caveats Bro what are you talking about? Want to talk about here and now? Right now, the MIAA has 6 of 12 teams in the Top 25 nationally. How many other conferences have 6 or more? None. How many other conferences have 5? None. How many other conferences have 4? One. How many other conferences have 3? None How many other conferences have 2? Three, which I think? is only true if you assume that all FL public HS are in "the same conference." And right now, MIAA schools are filling up with families who have moved from Philly, NJ, OH, GA, FL, and TX so there 2028s and 2029s can play lacrosse in the undisputed best top-to-bottom league in the country. And right now, MIAA players who barely touch the field are getting >50% D1 scholarships; and MIAA players who never make varsity are getting serious financial help at D2 and D3 schools. I'm sure this is true to a large extent in the LI Catholic League, the Philly Prep league (can't recall the name) and NESCAC. I think everybody is excited that FL is growing some serious lax talent. But it's not lost on us that the dads/coaches of those "FloGrown" squatted truck super stars, are almost entirely from Baltimore, Philly, Long Island, or MA. And guess what HS league a lot of them played in? You don't have to love your Daddy, but you should respect him.

Are they happy though? I feel bad for the boys. The school seems to want the program to just go away, insisting on staying in a division they don’t belong in and hiring one dud coach after another because the AD taught one of them in high school. There are some nice kids and decent players there but they’ll never get support they need. Knowing this, they still go out there and take their beatings because they just wanna play lacrosse. We can give ‘em a break.

Bro you are all over the place. Are you OK? The ranking is "right now," not in the past. You can feel free to keep arguing that even though no other conference can keep up, despite increasing elite talent all over the country, and that this problematic (to you) data is all fake news. You can keep arguing that the MIAA has no outsized impact on the sport of lacrosse, because all that data is also fake news (it must be!). You can argue that facts and stats updated 24 hours ago are "in the past" or the pollsters have a great conspiracy against FL schools, or whatever. You can argue whatever you like, and it can be totally true in your mind, but you should understand that the rest of the world understands that these things are not true. I think everyone here (including the guys hilariously yanking your chain about the FL games) understands that you play the team that shows up. Those MIAA teams went to Florida and ate some Ls, that's a fact. An emotionally stable adult can admit that's a fact, while acknowledging that yeah, maybe that won't be representative of the rest of the MIAA team's work this season, and acknowledging that yes, having the #1 recruit in the nation on the bench, was a factor.

Loyola goalie dad is a fake deadhead. You know who you are BP. Would love to see you stop posting on this site right now. Hey man, the MVP of Loyola dads remains cookie monster. Reports are he has extended his interference to Loyola U so a double decky buttinsky. Maybe that's why he looks like he sleeps in a cardboard box Sounds like some cookie envy here!! Oldest is now starting at Loyola U as a Fr and his youngest is dominating at LB as a JR. Maybe focus less on what others are doing and look in the mirror and ask yourself “why am I such a hammerhead?” Long live the Cookie Monster!! My apologies, I didn’t realize riding a bench was domination. Starting at Loyola cause daddy complained. Number of times he has threatened to put kid in portal outnumbers his goal total.

He’s the worst. Makes horrible decisions. Something tells me he won’t be around very long. Good riddens. What are you talking about? Those boys are playing hard and competing. He’s weeded out some, but still dealing with players (and parents) that just aren’t good. A nation wide search was done, he was best fit to rebuild this program. They haven’t recruited in 4 years, but he has a good 29’ class coming. They can’t over recruit like AS and CH, it’s to small of school. Which makes it more appealing to some, especially since all the “super stars” are going to glen Bernie.

I was close! When is enough enough for Gilman to throw in the towel. With their coach there is no chance to rebuild a program. Zero recruits brought in in the three years he’s been the head coach. I couldn’t imagine any boy going there with dreams of playing lacrosse in college. Very sad it has deteriorated so!!

Also, gotta love how the NE region teams somehow fit into this masterpiece of logic. I guess they must be just like the Florida teams too – only good because you weren't “trying.” Makes sense. The MIAA world must be fascinating, where every loss is just a case of not giving your best. Comedy gold Not a McDonough parent but the guy is right. McD’s real squad would beat the brakes off Benjamin 10/10 times. Landon boat raced them and they didn’t play all their upper classmen either— and Landon is not great this year.

The boys down at New Cut have been getting lucky against the bottom feeders of the MIAA, and are getting cocky. I’m hearing that number One just recently relapsed with the nose candy on their team road trip to LI.

WD has Stm going in the right direction (just because your kid isn't playing doesn't mean he's a bad coach.) WD lead the boys to a huge win over a not too shabby MSJ squad. Stm will be on top of AACO just let him roll in his recruiting classes. As far as the rest of AACO spalding is a hot mess due to the recent actions of RH. MAN! Lemme tell ya the kid is a complete hammerhead. From his subpar play on the field and his actions off the field its not looking good. Spalding will be an early playoff exit if RH continues to play like he has! Regarding Severn I think they have a young squad and will be a contender in years to come.

Good start to the year for STM and their new coach. Maybe a new coaching search begins...? Is WD really the guy? he will be gone after this year royal blue making moves and head of school not happy with the program it will takes years to recover but it will happen. Lots of changes coming once the school year ends. AOB is cleaning house.

He was the OC for years and heavily involved in club, seems like he himself could have been recruiting for the past “4” years…. nationwide search aka a handshake with his fired principal buddy

Pat him no attention, he obviously is jealous and if the truth known, son isnt that good for MIAA play.

Gilman showed how pathetic they are. I can’t believe the lacrosse alumni haven’t stepped in . It just goes to show how far the program has fallen. The program was faltering, although this first years team could have competed for the championship, but the current coach has such little coaching ability he’s lost almost every league game. He doesn’t fit in! He’s not polish, has trouble holding a conversation, can’t write a literate e- mail and has no respect from the team and the general student body. As we all know Gilman has had difficulties with the character of their teacher/coaches!!

Several former students have filed sexual abuse complaints against Calvert Hall College High School, accusing the Catholic school of ignoring or intimidating those who tried to report the abuse.
They should add the broom stick incident in the locker room of the football team last year.
