Where did you see legacy had a rough weekend? From the stats they lost one game. They outscored the bracket by 6 goals. They finished in third behind the Checkmate Hammerheads and 91 Valor (32). Aren't they a AA team?

Looks like they never played valor, only lost to checkmate by 1. Looks like a single A but checkmates been playing AA so not sure what to classify them?

Boasting about a box game where neither team even has all their players would be like igloo boasting how they curb stomped you in two straight scrimmages this year. Give it a rest already. The box league does not mean that the Rebels are better than Igloo. However, if you watched the game (and yes both teams had some guys missing) it was clear who the better lacrosse team is. That could change this spring/summer. We will see. Our team has had the same core of kids for about 3 or 4 years now. The coaches are both high energy and quality lacrosse minds. The 2 main guys have no kids on the team which means you earn your time on the field. Our roster size is smaller than any other AA team around. If you have a kid that can play at this high level and want a solid, consistent team that will compete with anyone then you may want to give the Rebels a look. See all you haters in the spring. Igloo and Rebels will continue to scrimmage, practice together, etc because the coaches have nothing but respect for one another and they agree that iron sharpens iron. These boys will play with and against each other for YEARS to come. Who wins? Who cares. Compete and get better. But I agree, if your kids not trying out or training to get on either of these two teams, you’re wasting their time and letting them fail. It’s those two and “the rest.” Rebels are number one on the island. Igloo hasn't beaten us in a very long time. Maybe they should stop bragging about scrimmage wins. Until you beat us where it counts you are in our rear view mirror..

Aren't they a AA team? Checkmate is a b team and does not play AA tourneys. Legacy played in a b tournament and couldn't even reach the finals. At least they have done the right thing and put those kids in b team tournaments.

Rebels didn’t make it far enough in tourneys to “play when it counts” after one early tourney last year… No one bragging about scrimmage wins. Hopefully Rebels can show up in playoff brackets this spring.

Some good lax this weekend at the WS qualifier. some bad lax too. watched Towermen from Jersey who sent their 31s to qualify. they brought in some 30s on D and goalie so if they brag that it was their 31 team it wasn’t. But their 31 attack, fogo and middies were good. played dukes tuf and qualified. east not nearly as tuf as north. was hearing some whispers all weekend about daddy ball on that team so it’s not just on the island. will wait for that dumpster to catch fire

Checkmate played all AA teams in the fall. We played 91 titans. Moose lax. Jesters. You just proved my point. All of those teams are b teams. And you got crushed by titans. You also barely beat a 2032 team by one goal. Checkmate.

This is 6th grade, right? Clearly none of you have older kids. Anyone with older kids will tell you none of this matters. All of it changes with puberty, catholic schools and out of state players coming for your kids' spots. Enjoy the courtyard in Dover, but don't take it so seriously.

You know it’s lax season when rebel dads are on here flexing before the first real games. Like the other guy said, way too early for this age group. Puberty becomes the ultimate equalizer.

Ha! Rebel dad rankins! Amazing. 1.- Igloo/Rebels (either way) 2- Express 3.- Express East 4.- S2S 5.- 91 Top 2 are in a class to themselves. Then Express Chucks who are clearly ahead of the next group. Spring is almost here so all this will play out and still wont matter bc these kids are in 6th grade! As I was typing this I realized how IAmInsecure insane it is to be listing 6th grade travel lax teams in a ranking (and I am doing it) lol.

91 should scrimmage the teams like Igloo/Express/Express East and Rebels. They are always scrimmaging in off season which makes them better obviously. 91 is a top brand locally and nationally. They are just not great at the 2031 age level. That being said they are still a top 10 team in this area. I think the coaches need to start to expose their players to tougher environments in order to continue to get better grow and compete.

Express East is a solid team. We scrimmaged them this weekend and they are a solid team with a few very talented players. They were well coached and played hard. It was a great way to get ready for the season. They have a beast of a face off kid.

It was a great way to get ready for the season. They have a beast of a face off kid. Not sure I’d say that EE is well coached. They have a bunch of ball hogs that prefer not to pass to their teammates. They don’t play as a team but depend on a few players that can bowl through teams with their size. That will work now but when the boys who haven’t had their growth spurts catch up AND have learned to play as a team, EE massive size won’t matter anymore.

What does size do besides trying to run though 4 kids that every one of those kids are known to do. Ball movement is definitely not their strength
