Smithtown East top 3 with a win over one of the top 2 this year..Northport will win because of the depth and talent. Hills trying to be nationally ranked and have a ridiculous non league schedule . Doesn’t have the depth to bang all year especially if he loses anyone. Egos over everything.Fix your crappy broken bleachers that you make the opposing fans sit on with obscured views and then personally yell at them for cheating too loud while your coach is acting like a lunatic . WM had the depth but not the talent the other teams have this year. Bellport jumps up to this league this year. Going to come down to strength points as some teams will rack up easy wins like Riverhead did last year. Dark horse will be Floyd
Division 2 Islip returns a d1 Fogo and an LSM from St Ants to go along with talented squad.. Going to give teams fits if they had the depth they would easily be #2
KP has too much top end talent and nobody. Will win the ones they need to Doesn't matter Nassau will own Suffolk again in the Long Island Championships !

We all know 91 and express on the 25/26/27 age group are mostly fly-ins.

Question, I know most are money grabs, and most get very little action on recruiting unless player is known. But here is question i got from a parent in a non hot bed area with a player that wants to play in college. Probably not going to get recruited by MD, JHU, Cornell, CUSE, etc. Best can be is a second tier D1 or some better D3 schools. Plays on club that comes up north. Basically another money grab to use their club name ( little or no practices) , but does enter in some better tournaments. He is in 10th grade this year and good athlete and skills.
What would be the better showcases or ? to get in front of some college coaches and get a few looks. Doesn't really matter where they are as he will be travelling from south.

Apex does a good job—don’t pay for the film. Buy a camera instead. A highlight film showing speed/athleticism is worth its weight in gold. Pick schools and go to their showcases—film showcases for highlight film. Make sure his grades are high, and it’ll be easy. D2 are small but offer a lot of support to become the best lax player while giving 1/2 rides. They can work if the schools studies work for the kid—ez on the wallet. D2 schools in the south are 43k all in, per year.

The show great showcase. All teams coached by d1/d3 coaches. Great oppportunity for younger guys to get introduced. Some of the coaches can’t compete for players on the hotbeds and rather search for the player from other states.

thoughts on Eric Dunne at Farmingdale? I think F'dale won counties last 3 years and made to state finals. Very good program. Will probably win A again this year.

For some reason conference A is weak in Nassau. always the case. They are in the power League, and do not think they did well vs other power league members from other conferences.

My son had a great experience there and we can tie at least two of his offers to him being there.

Looking to get my son in some showcases this summer. I just saw Blatant Exposure is $600!!! Is that the norm? That seems like an obscured price. Any recommendations on showcases? Willing to travel as far as MD if needed.

Google the showcases (1%, Primetime, etc) all vary. Primetime is around 300 but 1-day, best in class doesnt even list prices but is 1-day. 1% is $595 and 1day. Looks like Blatant is 2-days with college coaches, trainers and guest speakers. With any showcase, check the colleges coming (ask them for the list!!!) and if you can, check out the competition (look on social media), and location matter (hotel, travel, food, etc). End of the day, it's all going to cost money. Just make sure its running. Ive heard of people showing up to showcases and its cancelled with no communication, there are 12 college coaches (all volunteers) or theres no "good kids" there.

The blatant showcase has none of the top talent in any grade attending. Do some research and your money might be better spent on prospect days.

I was told by an East parent that this is a strong possibility for some of their sports because they laid off so many teachers and are in a bad financial situation. What I heard is that Hills did it because of enrollment numbers dropping. Years ago Smithtown did it for the same reason. I don't know that they'd do it for budget reasons. Varsity lax coaches only get paid 5K-8K per season.
