Someone get the 4th string Loyola goalie dad to stop posting.

Anyway - great group of games this week for the teams in the league!

Good luck to all!

My kid made varsity and is not seeing much/any time in the first few games. The coach is playing his freshman son over older, better kids.

What do I do?

2. Loyola- This team is going to surprise people. The defense is legit and I think some of those offensive weapons will get hot. Those goalies man.
3. McDonogh—The luck runs out. The team has way too many personalities on and off the field, and I wouldn't get my hopes up again. MM has problems (let's just say ordering exotic dancers for the players after the threepeat wasn't the brightest idea. But, hey, @ChillLaxin do as @ChillLaxin see. McCabe has been fostering this behavior for years now as he is practically MM's daddy). A lot of bad and questionable stuff is going to come out on him. I expect his son to have to step away from the team and those other entitled children to crumble without him. They'll still make the semis.
4. BL- Genuinely detest this team. They can't succeed with these borders. The pedigree of Baltimore laxers outmatches whatever foreign person they're bringing in.
5. Gilman- This team has some weapons. Overall very solid and will win the games they need to win (even Saint Paul's) senior
6. St. Paul's—This offense is legit and an absolute wagon. The defense, on the other hand, no words. It's brutal. They're going to be in a lot of high-scoring games, and they will give up 20 goals in some games. They'll beat those lower teams tho.
7. MSJ- Watched them keep some games real close last year and expect them to pull them out this year. They'll beat the lower teams but lose to the top. Classic 7 seed.
8. Severn - Filler
9. Calvert Hall- Goodbye BK. This is the end of the road. He won't last long after the information on the "parties" he has at his house with the players he houses comes out. But hey, it's the norm at that "institution." Awful program that has been carried by crappy play from other teams. This senior class isn't very promising and I wouldn't keep my hopes too high. That goalie doesn't deserve to be back there. Make your predictions on who the nose candy gets next.
10. Saint Mary's- Might as well fold the program.
11. John Carroll- Complete respect for them sticking around this long.

Feel free to leave any feedback. This is my unbiased opinion

Feel free to leave feedback ??? Do you have spies at each school. Uncanny how accurate you are

If I had to put statistical odds on it, this would be posted from a CHC dad who has been serving as a FCA asst coach for the 2025s for years, and when he asked BK to give him a spot on the varsity staff at CHC, and/or give him an FCA head coaching gig, BK said no thanks.

But putting LB at #2 is a head scratcher. Yes their attack line rivals everybody except McD. Midfield is "good enough," defense is large as always (the Loyola Way) but no Laakes or Larkins. The goalie depth is kind of ridiculous, especially since LB does not recruit goalies. The FO unit was a disaster last year and only has one 2025 and one (real) 2026 this year, so there will be a lot on those boys' shoulders, LB also (until last year) didn't traditionally recruit for the FOGO/FOSO positions....turns out that was a dense tradition (2025 season is Exhibit A). I expect the usual from LB this year - one and done in playoffs. My ranking as a parent/coach:

1. Spalding (logic same as above)
2. McD (logic same as above, but could still pull it out)
3. BL (bigger and better than you think, and yes they are running off local players)
4. Calv Hall (seriously, it's a lot of talent there)
5. TIE - Loyola / Gilman (annual coaching battle of who has the least success with the most talent)
7. St. Pauls - continue to barely "not make the jump"...coaching staff's trajectory/tenure starts to change based on this year's results
8. MSJ - If the cast of "The Sandlot" or "Stand By Me" was a lax program. Underdog heroes!
9. Severn - yada yada who cares, let the "Head Master Bleacher Scandal" dad give us unwanted updates
10. TIE - StM, JCS. One's slowly crawling out of hole, the other hasn't even found the bottom of the hole yet.

2. McDonough: Only reason they're not above Loyola is because of MM's severe wh*skey drinkin' fever that has become fairly apparent in the offseason according to his friends and family. He will no doubt be a huge distractor to his child and the rest of the team. From what I've heard, he has been stealing McCabe's NIL money in order to fuel his addiction. Plus, his bourbon of choice is Jack Daniel's (amateur). Seriously praying for him and his family though.

3. Spalding: Besides breeding the biggest DIRTB@GS in the country, they have some talent. Hopefully they can get their act together before the season. Heard that LSM they have who shall not be named has been up to some shady stuff in the off season. Keep an eye on his coordination when he's running the field. He may have broken into MM's stash.

What the ???? . Loyola , Please . That dumpster fire is still burning bright. Talent has never been problem there. The problem is coaching and getting right talent out there instead of the players with the name brand.

The rest is , as the famous Johnny Lawrence said.....It is what it is !

Spalding students? Hooligans you say? Why I heard from Spalding Dad that they needed to be fanned in their fainting chairs after receiving very aggressive and unkind Hooting and Hollering from those Loyola factory workers' sons, during a friday night Sixes game.

Gameday. The game I am looking forward to most is Loyola vs. Hill Academy. They're coming all the way down from the 51st state of America to take on the Dons. It will be interesting to see if these 20-year-old Canadians can take down a Loyola roster with 2 14-year-old freshmen starting. Loyola's electrifying goalie room will have to step up to beat a maple syrup jacked up kid. Get ready to learn US History in your 7th year of high school next year.

TONS of politics at Spaulding and lots of hurt feelings by freshman who were promised Varsity roles but now ride the pine. Yes, there is a ton of talent at Spalding but unless you are the favorite of one of the coaches, you are going to be dealing with 4 years of anxiety.

Lots of talent also chose STM. IMO, that's the better choice for lacrosse AND academics.

Well, one borderline 14/15 year old freshman and one 16.5 year old freshman. Both are serious talents on different trajectories.

The thing about many of these OOC teams the MIAA play , they are older than the MIAA players. Canadias have always been the oldest and in youth the biggest cheaters of holdbacks.

Is this a hypothetical question or has your son already been admitted to all 3 schools? If you put down deposits at three schools and you're still deciding, it's time to make some calks and figure out which is your best fit.

Hall with a massive win last night. Coaches kid looks to be the real deal as a freshman. Super strong pipeline of talent heading there over the next two years with a second BK coached FCA team in the pipeline.

Heresy! The MAGA knuckle tattooed dads of the 19.5 year old Long Island HS seniors, and even the Harris-Walz Finance Dads of the 21 year old boarding school post grad players in CT/MA, would have us believe that only the MIAA has lacrosse holdbacks.

All those 28s and (soon) 29s at CH finding out the hard way that it's "family" above all else.

Gonna be a long, eye-opening 4 years for all the kids sold a bill of goods.

Have fun on the bench, JV and F/S!

You are 100% correct. Drinking hard liquor, cocaine, popping Adderall. You name it those boys are doing it and not hiding it either. Zero consequences from coaching staff or AD. As long as they are winning nothing else matters. If you are looking at schools Severn at this point is your only choice

If your dad had strategically placed you as the offensive QB since kindergarten, and you had the work ethic of a bulldozer, you could have made CHC varsity in 9th, too!

Wait- 150 kids tried out for lax at Calvert Hall and the Coach's 14 year old 140lb son is one of the TOP 10?!

GET OUT OF HERE.
Absolutely amazing.
Against all odds.
Never would have seen that coming.
How did he do it?
How did he get the coach's attention or get a shot at such a young age?
My mind is blown.
He must be tough. So proud of his work ethic for clearly earning it during tryouts. It's a hard position too. I doubt any other juniors or seniors in the program can catch and finish like him. 👍

MIAA liberal elite who look down on people while holding their child back to get an advantage others dont get while suggesting MAGA people are the problem. Classic and so telling.

Sorry your son cant make MIAA Varsity. The boy worked for that spot, unlike your son who decided long ago, that it wasnt his thing. Varsity at MIAA is only for certain players and attitudes. Obviously you are frustrated with your son, remember there is always Baseball or track.

MIAA is embarrassing itself down in FL. Gilman loses by 11 . 11 people to a Fl school. And to add gasoline to the MIAA dumpster fire, McDonogh loses to another FL school. The MIAA is a shell of itself.

Just wanted to call into notice how LEGIT this dons squad looks this year. Not only did they go toe to toe with an extremely talented Malvern team, but they also have some quality wins over Chaminade, GP, and Hill. The O had many questions coming into this season, but ford seems to have the guys flowing. MAN. Lemme tell ya! That defense and keeper is the best country. Don’t be surprised when the dons are playing late in May. RDR.
