Yeah lot of teams catching up to ML and NL. Both overrated. Preds added a lot of new talent, strong coaching, kids love the program.

March Invitational this weekend. Would have liked to have seen Madlax and NL square off. The games vs Dukes should be good games. Wish FCA was playing some of the top teams there. Curious how they will look this spring.

Watched FCA play in the fall. They have a few exceptional players and a handful of good ones. Just not enough depth like everyone except madlax and next level. Will finish middle of standings above clippers and team 91 for sure.

OK NL dad...and what did NL do this weekend besides beat up on some average teams? Hmm...I dont know, they only beat the 6th ranked team in the nation by a score of 10-1. And that team tied Madlax 5-5 earlier in the day. See you at HoCo

Right above clippers and 91 Clippers is nothing but a show boat of zero talent kids. Parents talk big talk and have all the excuses as to why they can’t win a game. Had to sit next to the over the weekend and finally had to move.

Here's a novel idea... how about the "adults" on this site (and the stands) who derive a little too much meaning from their 12 year old son's lacrosse career back away from the "lax parent stereo-types" and tamp down the lame garbage talk (or at least make it funnier and more enjoyable for those of us who come here for a little information and some laughs).
Some Facts:
1. ML is a historically strong team that has yet to lose to NL and has an exceptional record over the course of the last year (and beyond). One tie against a 6th ranked Dukes team (missing players or not) in a pre-season spring tournament doesn't provide much insight into how good this team will be once the spring is in full swing (not sure how the "tides are changing" as a result of 1 tie).
2. NL is also a strong team that, by all accounts, has only gotten better since last spring when they tied ML in the HoCo regular season and then lost to them by 1 in double OT in the Championship game (not sure how that translates to them "folding like a cheap deck of cards" - btw, it's "folding like a house of cards").
3. NL seems to have momentum with their strong fall and early spring performances and the #1 ranking, but no one can deny that ML has played well over that period too and they have history on their side. Which leads to the tried and true concept - until NL beats ML, they should generally avoid taunting them.
Maybe there's an opportunity for everyone to enjoy a fantastic rivalry that's produced some spectacular lacrosse of late rather than crapping on each other - or at least save it for the over the top LI & Jersey parents this summer.
Now, the real question is, am I an ML or NL Dad or am I a Crabs' Dad who thinks his son's team is gonna ruin someone's party this spring?
Hope everyone's excited for the spring season to start!

“Up and down play” is a phrase commonly used in sports, particularly in basketball and golf, but it can also apply to other areas. 1. Basketball – In basketball, “up and down play” generally refers to a fast-paced game where teams are constantly moving from offense to defense in quick transitions. It describes a style of play where teams push the ball up the court rapidly, leading to frequent possessions, fast breaks, and a high-scoring environment. 2. Golf – In golf, “up and down” refers to a situation where a player gets the ball into the hole in two strokes from around the green. Typically, this involves a chip shot or bunker shot followed by a successful putt. It’s a key skill in short-game performance, as it helps golfers save par or limit bogeys. 3. General Sports Usage – In a broader sense, “up and down play” can also mean inconsistency in performance. A team or player experiencing highs and lows in their gameplay—playing well in one moment and poorly in another—might be described as having “up and down” performance.
“The natives are getting restless” is an idiomatic expression that means a group of people is becoming impatient, agitated, or dissatisfied, often due to delays, unmet expectations, or frustration with a situation. It is typically used in a lighthearted or humorous way but can also carry a more serious connotation depending on the context.
Origins & Usage: • The phrase originates from old adventure or colonial-era films and literature, where it was used to describe indigenous people supposedly growing uneasy before an uprising. Over time, it evolved into a more general idiom, often detached from its original context. • Today, it is commonly used in workplaces, social settings, or among fans of sports teams when people start expressing discontent or restlessness.
Examples of Usage: • At Work: “The meeting was supposed to start 15 minutes ago, and people are still waiting. The natives are getting restless.” • Sports Fans: “The team hasn’t scored in the last three games, and the natives are getting restless.” • Parenting: “If we don’t get these kids their lunch soon, the natives are going to get restless!”

Week 1 right around the corner, lets get those prop bets down
Lines for Week 1 Crabs vs Hawks. 8-6 Crabs ML vs Clippers. 12-3 ML Predators vs FCA Blue. This is a tough one to guess, going 7-5 Predators NL vs Team 91. 11-3 NL

ML asked to reschedule, Clippers declined. I kinda love that Clippers declined bc most ML teams duck the 1st week of the season anyway. Glad that at least somebody is willing to call them out on it. It's impressive that ML won handily anyway.
