Has anyone done the Players Open for this age group? I know it's early and it's Wink but I'm thinking about it for our daughter.

Please don't get @ChillLaxin in, and save the money! Spend it on private training or anything else at all.

Yeah. You wasted your money if you're not YJ A or B (or maybe even C). She has a stranglehold on those teams.

AS is beyond corrupt. The best is the emails saying the evaluations will not take into account travel or school team.

Absolutely shameless.

American Select is the biggest scam this side of all of Wink's stuff.

Your girls don't need it. College coaches aren't looking at these girls yet and they also know that AS is only a way for them to see YJ girls from Long Island.

Who makes All America? 91? Igloo? Legacy?

They all seemed to be tied to one club or another. As if these clubs aren't already making enough money haha.

American select - 48 kids on the 2 team rosters for LI 2030 and only 9 of them out of 48 are NOT from YJ. Completely fool. Excelsior Suffolk similar. YJ coaches ran whole show there too, the entire time. I would bet ~90%-~95% YJ only. Suffolk = YJ. Or you have absolutely no shot.

Don’t know for sure about All America - but I believe that one is run by the 91 coaches. Or at least this year it definitely was.

LOL so true!!! On top of all of this, the Long Island Tryout had YJ girls that were from westchester and upstate tryout. Check out the roster and you may be able to pick one or two out. One was a goalie who made the team. This was true for the older grades as well. Wrote AS corporate anfter the tryout and the cowards never responded. Asked her dad why he came down and he said the teams in the north were weaker. What a circus

think the only other club that could pull off adding another team is Jesters. maybe have them create a Nassau AS team or for them to affiliate themselves with another national showcase like All American or AS.

Btw has anyone notice the decline in top guns.. numbers sin the younger years are struggling. they seem to not be as good as prior years

100% most accurate post this year. Parents/ consumers have spoken and walked. It’s also wild that they’ve only played 9 games this year at this age group. Even YJ A, an organization pretty rigid on what they play, have done other events like the Stony Brook winter indoor tourney and the California Tourney.
