The purpose of the 91 ES and MS teams is not to develop players or win games, it's to help fund the HS teams.

Aside from the objectively amazing 2023-2025 teams personally engineered and coached by MM and Austin,

91 is not the best club in Baltimore County

Unlike many of the other notable programs (Hawks, Crabs, Madlax, FCA), Team 91 Md was originally a middle school program. Team 91 Md is only now starting to recruit at the youngest ages. As you can see, Team 91 Md began with 7th graders, only moving to 5th graders in 2021, and 4th graders in 2022. All teams were in the Elite division with the exception of introducing 5th graders in 2021. This 2025 HoCo season will see Team 91 Md's first complete team of 3rd grade recruits.

In 2022, when the 2029 Team were 5th graders, was the first year that Team 91 Md. recruited a complete 5th grade team to play in the Hoco elite level.

​2026 - 7th grade yr (2021)

2027 - 7th grade yr (2022)

​2028 - 5th grade yr (2021) - began as a AAA team, next yr AAAA team, and then Elite

2029 - 5th grade yr (2022)

​2030 - 4th grade yr (2022)

2031 - 4th grade yr (2023)

​2032 - 4th grade yr (2024) - team put together mostly from Wolfpack in Harford County

​2033 - 3rd grade yr (2024) - 2033/34 team, more than half made up of 2034s (2nd graders)

2034 - 3rd grade yr (2025) - first time Team 91 fully recruited a complete younger team

Maybe wierdest post ever. Even if true…so what? And this isn’t true. 2026 91MD team was formed 2017. Im sure all dates listed above are wrong.

Completely agree. It's also why they carry 27-28 players on a roster. More $$$ from kids who are drinking the 91 kool aide.

The 26 and 27 teams were formed long before that.

True parents want to justify the corporate monstrosity their kid is on after getting no playing time and going club to club. Next step, back to rec.

New Question... which MIAA school has the best 2029 class?... in other words... which 8th grade team is going to clean up this spring?

Silly question being that they middle schools that have teams are usually for kids that want to try the sport mixed in with really good players. Also many middle school teams play in different level leagues. With that being said. St. Pauls has a team composed of players thats play together all year and are all strong players.

No one follows this right now in that so many kids switch schools, stop playing... Look to the coaching.

It's not a terrible question given that the 8th grade teams will become the foundation for the future MIAA rosters. That said, most schools will add a bunch of talent going into 9th grade so things will change markedly in the next 12 months.

All middle school teams have a mix of experienced players and kids trying the sport for the first time. That said, schools like Boys Latin have recruited lacrosse players heavily and have extremely talented rosters at each grade. Schools like Loyola Blakefield have more club/rec lacrosse players than spots on the middle school roster. St Pauls has a mix of experienced and first time players. Their experienced players come from several different clubs (like every other school) so they don't "play together all year".

All of the MIAA A Division middle schools play the same MIAA A Division teams that they will in upper school.
