Use this thread to discuss lacrosse pertaining to 9th Grade Girls (2028 Grads) for the Fall 2024/Summer 2025 Season.

Any big changes to 2028 teams this year? It seems like a lot of shake up this summer. I think you know the answers but I'd indulge. Bert/Maget is the only team that didn't change much. Added an excellent middle from YJ Nassau. YJ Nassau fell apart and took just about anyone. Jesters core stays but took on many from all over. TG took quite a few but none are impact players. Liberty core remains.

American Select vs All American - any thoughts on that? A college coach from the south told me she likes all American more but it’s just one person.

They are grabbing the last few 25s and are full steam ahead with the 26s. If you want to sign up for a couple to get your feet wet that’s fine. But they have no recruiting value. Assistants coaches will be at some of these events simply for the paycheck. Save your money as use it for training. My advice is all based on mistakes I made with my older girls. Best of luck

They are full steam ahead with 27 class actually. At least the top 20-50 programs are. Bottom 50 may be grabbing some 26 players that are left. But the 25 class has been finished for a while now.
The 28's will start being evaluated next fall.

Lost of great games at Lax 4 the Cure this weekend. Monster, Primetime, YJ, Eagle Stix and Mass Elite all looked strong.
Anyone attending Level 9 this weekend? Great competition at Level 9! M&D and Salt City looked great. Mass Elite Red ended up winning the Gold Bracket. Silver bracket was surprisingly competitive. NXT Volt looked amazing. Awesome semi-final between 4Leaf and Mass Elite White that went into overtime. Nice way to end the fall season!!

Level 9 standings do not reflect the talent. Coppermine vs HHH Philly was the best lacrosse of the weekend! Coppermine vs HHH Philly was a great game. There were a ton of great games. M&D Black battled with LXC Black in an unbelievable game inside the dome. STEPS looked great as well, beating HHH and tying Coppermine. Skywalkers and Salt City also looked strong. Mass Elite Red was clearly the top team this weekend in the Gold the division. NXT Volt dominated the Silver division which was a big step down in talent.

Thoughts on the latest US Club Lax Rankings?
Top 10 is stacked, there will be a lot of movement within these teams once they play each other a few more times. From what I've seen Primetime and Heros started strong but might drop off a little. Coppermine and Mass Elite came on strong later in the fall. The spring should definitely be fun. We have some great lacrosse ahead of us.

Coppermine and Mass Elite came on strong later in the fall. The spring should definitely be fun. We have some great lacrosse ahead of us. It's still a little early for these rankings. There will be a lot of movement in the spring. The top 10 is great because any team could beat anyone else within the top 10 on any given day. The summer is when we'll see what these teams are really made of after the 28s get some HS experience. Looking forward to seeing how much these athletes develop over the next 6 months. You'll see of the best lacrosse around this summer with these 28s.

Hey All. I could use one more girl to fill out my High School Varsity team. We have enough players but only have one sub.
Players should have really strong skills and be on a top AA team.
The team has girls from top teams in Maryland, NY, PA & NJ. It also includes a couple D1 Commits.

Thanks in advance. Hi! Daughter hasn’t attended a Players Open event, but I can confirm that she (and I) receive multiple emails from them per week “inviting” her to this event. I suspect they send similar messages to hundreds of players, possibly utilizing mass email lists from tournament signups. Just a hunch tho.

Both of these events are just money grabs for LILJ. They keep coming up with new events and promote the kids like fool. Then the events participation dies off and they start a different event. Rinse and repeat. The all Long Island Games is a perfect example. It was so awful last year no one who’s any good will ever come back.

Let me guess…..your daughter posted her selection email on her instagram. She then tagged LILJ and Excelsior games and then wrote “thank you”. Then she looked to see if they reposted it on their instagram. Rinse and repeat. Get ready to do the same for the all long island games. 400 bucks for the games and 125 for the tryout. They are laughing all the way to the bank.

Word is there was a 2028 cut in first round at New Balance and now mysteriously appears on final roster - JC up to his games again he must really like the mom :0 great job keeping it classy
