I have a real question for the group.

2025 is the LWSC year for this age group. The tournament is extremely expensive, starting with a required qualifying tournament (normal price for a weekend tournament $2200), followed by the national event in PA that’s anywhere from 3-5x the normal tournament fees (priced per player and coach at $495/pp in past years - roughly $10-12k per team plus travel). For the first time this event conflicts with another significant event on the lacrosse calendar, Naptown.

Our club has already made the call and we are out of the LWSC game and headed to Naptown. Any others having the same conversations with your club directors?

Naptown isn’t the same as it used to be. Great facilities and an overall good time but it’s now turned into the the National Team Holdback Bowl.

I give you credit for trying to ask and expecting a real, mature answer....most likely going to get "that's because your club is scared!"

Can someone explain how the LWSC qualifiers work in terms of moving on? How well do you have to do to advance our of your region?

Depends how many teams enter in each qualifier. Not many enter from west or south. In the north and east regionals, roughly half the teams qualified last year.

I believe it varies from region to region. The east region has always had the most teams quality due to the amount of teams that attended the qualifier, my older son’s year I think 9 made it through. While other regions only have 1 or 2 teams since the qualifier is significantly smaller.
