Shout out to igloo lax. They worked with me on an issue we had and Tony Alexander after some time worked with me thru a difficult situation.

I’m so confused how year after year so many parents get taken by the sales pitch of the same organizations. So what your child is on the roster of what will probably will be a good team of 8th graders. If your not in the top percentile ( be real about your kids ability) then your just a check that supports everyone else . It’s just sad parents keep falling for the nonsense. It’s a game ,it’s about your child getting better your main concern should be coaching, training and time on the field. For those that got @ChillLaxin in good luck hopefully you have learned the hard lesson ( but probably not I’m sure it’s about you and bragging rights at parties)and get smart and make an adjustment before the year ends so your kid has a real chance on a team that they aren’t just a number and feeding the beast. Long Island has so many options for travel lax wake up!

You’e not confused. Most everyone else is. The line you put in about “be real about your kids ability” is the number one driver of this. The far majority of parents are not realistic about it. Kids hanging on the back ends of rosters at 91 or Express would likely be better suited playing elsewhere. Most parents won’t admit that though, because any day now their little guy is gonna get his chance and show everyone. Unfortunately, that day rarely if ever comes.

Doesnt making 2 team go against your argument ? More kids will now play that would not have on a larger sized rostered team, while still playing against the top competition. Seems like its a win for those kids not in the top percentile

It’s not. One team will get smacked around. And the parents of the kids who get put on that team the thirsday night before the tournament will lose their minds because their kids were relegated to the B team. They can play in all the AA brackets they want, they’ll still be a B team.

A lot of talented kids on that "B" team. They will be better then Igloo A and Rebels Black. You heard it hear first !

You just made the 91 sales pitch above. 91 gets it done.

Every team will be better than Igloo, they are a B team now. They only have 1-2 returning starters and they picked up kids from other organizations B teams to fill the holes. Rebels Black will wipe the floor with the 2nd Express team (the B team)

How does that affect the kids when they get notified they will be playing on the B team that weekend? Over and over again all Fall and Summer!

Sad that’s what you think sure there will be some kids who are solid players but to say they will beat those teams or any others seems premature , the real AA team has on it the perceived top talent on LI as well as some out of state kids , the B team of the week is just another team maybe some kids are solid maybe some or not but don’t get fool and think that team won’t be made up of mostly kids who were on the roster already and have been on express the past few years and we all know that team was very inconsistent so save the silly talk for the parents meetings at practice . Let’s not pretend you thought you were playing on a AA team and now your on the B team it’s ok to admit you made a mistake.

Rebel parents will be very disappointed if that’s the expectation. They are a B team now like igloo, only 2 teams remain.

Rebels will beat one of those 2 this season. You can take that to the bank.

None of the posturing matters because none of the "top" LI clubs win when it counts. How many times did y'all lose to the top teams from CT and PA in the summer of '24? Not sure I have enough fingers and toes to count that high, as the song will remain the same in the summer of '25.

Well let’s be clear and specific it’s one team from CT and one team from PA and let’s not pretend the one team from PA is a super regional team I’d gather ,not really comparable to LI which is diluted with so many orgs. The CT team was hands down best team no one can deny that . The PA team was solid but again not really comparable and to be fair is not as good as the CT team and not much better if at all vs top LI teams last year
