The first two sentences ARE TRUE!
Speaking from expeince, my son was a member of 2026 PrimeTime and was cut, years ago (deservedly so) and I have no bone to pick with PT (or ND).
Since then, I have seen more ex-players than players still on that roster. Two of the best 2026 players from my son's PT team re-classed to 2027 a couple of years ago.

One recommendation for you to consider now, besides all of the private lacrosse lessons, you should really add a personal trainer that focuses on strength and agility. We did it for my son (in 2020) and it has put him back into the convo for DI exposure.

You LI’rs are such hypocrites. For years you prided yourselves on no holdbacks, reclasses, etc… Now that is all your talking about.

Long Island has been reclassing for years, just not at the same extreme as the rest.

Some of the top LI Team players in 2026 are Doubles.

They arent the top 2026’s, they are below average 2024’s and average 2025’s that are cheating.

Welcome newcomers to the Class of 2029. Let’s start by telling us a little about yourself. Where did you attend 8th grade last year?

If a Founders League coach is interested, how serious does one entertain that possibility?

MD has always taken holdbacks to new heights, The amount on any better MIAA team is over 50%.

For my info. A holdback in MD is anyone born before Sept 1 of that year , Is anyone born before Dec 1 for LI to consider a holdback.

If so a Holdback in LI born Sept,Oct, Nov would be on age in MD

Can’t compare MD to Long Island. We have a handful of reclasses a year. Maryland has hundreds. If you count the kids that would be considered holdbacks if they grew up on LI, Maryland would then have thousands.

I’m not sure that’s the right order…

Express is a completely different team. Lots of good players. Roster is too big and still growing.

No one beside some private schools in NE region have as many reclass, prefirst, holdbacks as Maryland does.

With the MIAA dominating lacrosse in MD along with IAC in DC , The race to holdback is immense.

Plus it has always been a thing at MD private schools for years before others had to catch up with club explosion and going by grade about 10-12 years ago.

If people don’t think reclass benefits the player as far as recruiting goes, they are totally in denial! Look at the recruits to top programs and their ages!

The extra year and years in many cases, is a total bought advantage in development and gives a big advantage! Also gives major life opportunities that stem from that, as well. It’s about opportunity and not morality to people who can afford to buy their kids more opportunity. Not that I personally think anything immoral about holding back/reclassing. If you can afford it? It’s an elitist sport , that favors the wealthy who can afford to “play” the game!

It’s just a fact people are “gaming” the system with holding back and unfortunately benefiting greatly from it when it comes to committing to college. If you can’t beat them, join them. They are benefiting from it.

Jesus, really ? Again this year, like the last 2-3 years ? Got SMOKED by Xpress at WS and dont think they had any signature wins last year. It will be 91 & Xpress, then a distance 3rd and on for the others.

The trolls are the people who cany accept Rebels are on top, Sorry, it is what it is. Most are parents of players who couldnt make the team.

Nah really no one cares hope they crush it ,hope all teams do … but at the end of the conversation it’s meaningless so enjoy the tshirts some kids are more concerned with getting better and having a seat at the table when it matters not who wins the most tournaments in 8th grade but hey if that’s your ultimate goal GL! Wear that Tshirt with pride hope it’s not your only memory

Well I guess its better than the other big LI team CHARGING ROSTERED players for weekday practices. I guess the $5K tuition isnt enough.

Many teams charge for additional practice time that’s not part of the annual package. Typically these practices are not mandatory but always better to attend. There is at least one major club team that charges in full and in advance all its players automatically for extra practice time and historically had canceled many sessions while never making them up or refunding the $.

Yeah "optional" practices haha.

Clubs that respect their families don't charge extra for practices or training that kids are expected to be at. Period.
