Bottom line is that there are definitely 3 top teams in the 27' group on Long Island. Then 2-3 second tier ones.

Jesters is by far better than Top Guns, not even debatable.

They just beat the #2 team from last year and took it to the #13 team in MDU that beat TG twice by wide margins over summer.

Jesters is a top-10 team until they prove otherwise.

Yes and the top 3 teams will finish in the Top 10 nationally but in NY in this order:

1) YJA
2) Jesters
3) TG

Lots of great teams in NY. Remember, they’re in 8th grade.

Should be a fun few weekends to end the fall season.

Aces? FLG? FLG wiped the floor with TG and handily beat YJ last time they played. Jesters and FLG are the best coached teams around. That will be difference in the spring.

Its a very strong year for sure. I'd argue the 26 year is a bit stronger, especially if you start looking at recruitability (size, athleticism, speed). There are several top players on YJ and TG who have great stick skills

Flg hanging onto one top 10 win. Ever. YJb has to be ahead. They beat flg and hero’s. That’s two top 10 Wins. YJA had 5 top 10 wins in one week.

Jesters will be in trouble when they play on a field with competent refs who understand the 3 second rule, until then they should do what they do and mess up these offenses.

Ha..learn the game.. checking in and out of the 8m is called good defense. We can revisit this so called trouble at the end of the summer.

You don’t even need to leave the 8M just get into a sticks length. I watched multiple games, they were moving enough, Refs there wouldn’t track and got away with it often.

Not a foul if refs don’t see it, including the checks to the head.

No I'm complementing them on their defense. My point is most backer zone teams struggle in MD, where ref quality is much lower. That's just reality

Very strong class. YJA played Lax for the Cure this weekend but were not matched up against Eagle Stix for some reason. At least they get Hero’s Green next weekend at LLL. If you’re gonna go play in Delaware, might as well play the best. Wish Aces and M&D were there too.

Eagle stix usually has 2 teams per grade. Blue is A team. Grey is B team

That doesn't sit well for FLG. Who Eagle Stix best 9-4. (and the game really wasn't even that close).7

I watched this game. First time I saw FLG play. Some really athletic girls and very strong on draw circle.

But stick skills while strong, just aren't in the same league of the top 7 or 8 clubs nationally. Too many passes dropped by wide open cutters. A couple of their starting defenders really don't have a left hand of the lax IQ knowing when to swing the ball.

They are probably still a top 15 team and have some of the best players on the island. But comparisons to the top teams in the country at this point really aren't fair. However, their middle line and a couple of their attackers are outstanding. If they can add 4 or 5 players, especially on the D side, they can be elite.

FLG will be top 3 by end of the summer

Top 3 on Long island? I may buy that. Without a roster upgrade, they will struggle with against any top 10 teams.

Ok FLG dad. You guys have a great team. Girls seem happy! Enjoy it. But top 3, no. big loss against a top 10 team yesterday. Could be a bad game. Could be refs. Who knows…but definitely not a top 3 team. Yesterdays scores show another LI teams came closer to eagle sticks.

FLG had a 3-2 halftime lead. Got dominated in the draw circle in the second half. Barely had possession. FLG is definitely top 3 on LI. YJA, FLG, and Jesters are the top 3 and can each beat the others on any given day. The good news is that there are probably 6 teams on the island that will be in the top 25. Now that is something to celebrate.

One thing flg is not known for is equal pt for all but yesterday the bench played a lot. Did it hurt them? Probably. Do wins and losses in the Fall matter? Probably not.
