To set the record straight TJ does not treat this tournament as the end all either, they also had many age eligible 2015 blue players who did not attend. TG should be proud if their U 15 team but to say best 2016 team makes them look foolish for anyone who has seen their 2016 team play.

This is the deal $$$$$$$$$. Parents are stupid enough to think that if they go it will get their kid a spot on one of the top teams. Same with the fall tourneys. Don't be a suck up!

Maybe, BOTC will purchase a couple of tickets to attend next weekend.

That is so mean to say...the luau/luncheon that Yj has hosted for many years is a very nice event for the parents and kids to get together, enjoy each others company and acknowledge the girls accomplishments for the past year! Also, a dynamic guest speaker too. Carol Rose very generously gives out scholarship money to her graduating players and there is a great essay contest that my daughter was a recipient of 2 years ago. There is also a great slide show of the season and the kids love seeing themselves in the photo's and what colleges the graduating seniors are heading off to.

As far as fall tourney's go....no one is putting their kids in them to "earn" spots on top teams....they are a great way to keep a stick in your daughter's hand, be with their team in the "off season" and have fun. At the high school level, several of the tourneys are recruiting tourneys....

All good things for your lax playing daughters....don't participate if you don't agree!

College coaches don't care who beat who, and what players were missing. They recruit PLAYERS, not teams. To call them a pathetic team also says a lot about you...both programs have pros and cons, at every age group. It's unbelievable how much time people spend on here, making silly blanket statements, and bashing each other, and your children...

Several years ago my daughter was asked to play with YJ Blue for the Fall Tournament schedule. More coaches were were watching that team than other teams.

I'm not sure she would have received the offers she did as a result. I agree the coaches don't care about the results, but they do care about the teams.

only 4 2015 players, 20 2014 players. some 2015 players didnt play in big games, that leaves 2 2015 players that made impact .

Yellow Jackets did not? What did they not do? Did they not win the U15 National Championships? Yes - they did not. Did they have players who were on their 2015 teams play in the U15 tournament? Yes they did.

Again you have to lie to try and make a point, you must be desperate to try and make your 2016 team look good. Do you actually think you would have won that tournament without your 2015 players? Not one of you can come onto this site and honestly say you think without your 2015 players you would have won. Congrats you should be proud but stop making more of it than it is ie best 2016 team in country, when you say that you diminish the actual contribution of your 2015 players. Your best player being benched is a matter of opinion but I do believe your teams top scorer saw little to no playing time in the close games.

your right, nobody cares any more, older younger, who would have won if, the best 2016 team is , but they didnt, the best teams from out of state didnt enter. one thing for sure though

U15 National Champs are Topguns. thats it , nobody cares about why, where, how, when, if, but , because, its over.....

topguns would have had a very good chance of winning without 2015 players as well as YJ , skywalkers and m&d . all teams are about equal. all teams play 2 goal games aganst each other. but with that said nobody will ever know. topguns won with there 2015 players and YJ , skywalkers, and md lost with there 2015 players. so it you cant handle topguns 2016 team being the champs then how about this 2015/2016 u15 national champions are topguns. what other excuses could you possibly have?

There has not been any excuse, have said all along that TG are the U15 national champs but to then assume they are the best 2016 team is ridiculous.To say those teams are all about equal shows you are completely delusional. Your 2016 team has never beaten those teams ,throw in Heros and its just another team you have never beaten.How can you go something like 0 wins and 8 losses to YJ and MD in your 2016 history but claim to be about equal, talk about excuses.To say your 1 2015 player was not the most dominant player of the tournament and you would have won without her is just silly.According to the national draw 2020, 2016, 2015 YJ are national champs.

All the 2015's were in Virginia (yj parents of all the committed kids didn't want to travel so the went to National Draw - great teammates), 2016 had very easy bracket as did the 2020 team, which is not a top five team by any stretch, probably 4-5 best team in that age on LI

Finally something we can agree on YJ 2016 did have an easy championship bracket playing a weak TG 2016 black team in the semi-finals, if it wasn't for their goalie the game would have been barely competitive, 2016 TG still 0-10 when playing against the top teams. As far as 2020 YJ , didn't you have a YJ team in your bracket , a team that beat M&D while you guys got crushed by them.

Define top team . 4th or 5th best . Are you nuts. TG black real good, other than that liberty beach bums and any other 20 team stinks. Plus who are you to judge 11 yr olds and rate them. TG purple 2020 is a horrible team

The low-key sentiments on the boards in the days following the tg u15 win were refreshing. Thought that the dialogue had finally reached a higher level of mutual respect. It's been all downhill since then- the tg/yj dialogue has now reached yet another record low. Too bad for the girls and li lax.

To all other YJ posters - let's remember what our parents taught us about bullies - ignore them and they go away. These TG "fans" who have nothing better to do than thump their chests on this forum are just looking for attention. Don't give them the satisfaction!

I, for one, think my daughter's YJ team and coach are fantastic. I am 100% happy with the experience she has had and wouldn't dream of her playing for another club.

If the TG fans would just stick to their section to boast and YJ stay here then all would be well.To the YJ parents ignore the non- sense you will see come recruitment age how well it will work out for you. People can say what they want but CR opinion goes a long way . After having probably the most D1 players of any program ever college coaches know that YJ has a history of sending quality players to D1 programs.
