But if you win NGLL National 2 yrs in a row and finish top ranked team 2 years in a row, you get the nod. Plus head to head M&D has advantage.

Hero's has great depth. M&D has a couple of studs on offense that carry them.

Proving that both teams have found a recipe for success.

Agree.

Thought HG had a very good and aggressive D last year but no real studs on offense. M&D won almost every draw against my daughters team and their offense was fantastic, the D was very good in limited sample

I thought M&D was better overall

M&D is better on draw, at middie and on defense, which is suffocating.

Hero’s has better shooters and more dynamic on attack.

Both teams prob top 3 Midatlantic at all positions.

I enjoy when my daughters team plays both, a true test.

I’ll take a more even split for a change from NGLL. The North South thing doesn’t work.

The attack on Heros is not more dynamic unless you're the father of the weak lefty.

No need for personal attacks on a 13 yr old girl. She's a solid player and always plays well against top competition.

Honestly, most of this entire thread is sad and absurd. 13 year old girls, 99%+ of whom will not be on ESPN playing in the DI tourney in 5-9 years. But they were #1 on their Hero's or M&D team when they were in middle school! Awesome! And even if they do make it to the top of the lacrosse world, good luck making a living out of it. Total grind.

Always shocked what gets past the admins. Someone just jealous of a talented player and team obviously. Addition by subtraction can happen with some of these teams.

Divisions are out for Fall Fest (Oct 22-23)
38 2027 teams attending.

Only thing that stands out is Phantastix is in top division while Integrity is not.

Pride Red Loudon is formerly Cavalier, they are with Integrity, Rebels and Uproar.

Curious to see the NEMS and of course M&D Shore after both lost talent.

Heard from a college friend that Philly Blast imploded and most of their talent went to Phantastix, so that team should be much improved.

Heck, 50% of the kids who decide to play D1 don’t even continue playing all 4 years at that level. It’s a complete grind. I’ve had two daughters who have gone all the way through 4 years of playing D1 lacrosse and half of the girls they played club and HS lacrosse with who played at the D1 level (many at top 10 programs) quit lacrosse before their college days were over. It’s a full time job on top of their academics and they quickly burn out or develop other interests they want to pursue as they continue to mature. I have a 2027 daughter too and I am going to try to convince her to play D2/D3 if she still wants to play in college so that she has more flexibility to enjoy ALL things that college has to offer (study abroad, other club options, etc…). Another reason I saw so many of my older daughters’ peers quit in college is because they got frustrated with putting in so much time in practice, etc… but never seeing the field until their junior year at the earliest. Look at UMD even! Most of those studs never even step on the field come game time. That gets hard for these girls who were used to bei to the field most of the time during their high school and club years. And they decide it’s not worth it. And in the end, is it really? Of course the tuition discount is nice (& necessary for some) but in the end, is their a big ROI? Many figure out it isn’t and they either quit or transfer to a top D2/D3 programs where they can have the best of all worlds. Just look at these programs rosters. They are r full of players who previously played at these Top 10 lacrosse programs! I don’t understand why so many parents on this forum can’t see past their own egos to see this.

^^^^ That’s why you don’t pick a school for lacrosse! You use lacrosse to open doors to great schools that your kid may not have had opportunity to go to otherwise! Like poster said, the lacrosse is going to be a frustration for majority of girls at the top D1 programs.

Does that gap between M&D/HG and the rest widen or close this year?

History says it closes but not sure about 2027. Bethesda is obviously just under them.

To me the interest is in the 4-8 group (locally). Not sure who comes out on the top end there but I don't see it being NEMS or Coppermine unless they get a calkwalk schedules like 2022.

There is a massive gap after the top 3. But I do think it is interesting that 4 through 10 are up for grabs unlike other years.

I think Pride and Integrity could be surprising in a good way.

Nems and MDU could struggle since Hero’s and M&D took their best players

What makes you think Pride and Integrity will step up? Integrity didn't gain or lose anyone.

Pride lost a few mid-tier players to Stars, so they may be a little weaker while Stars a little stronger.

MDU lost two really good players but also gained a few really good players, not sure NEMS was able to replace their production.

Odd that the teams in what is clearly the A division only gets two teams in while the B division also gets two.

The finals will not be close.

M&D vs BLC is the game of the day and someone won’t get to playoffs.

Eaglestix will walk into playoffs.

Gotta try to get at least one of his teams into the Playoffs (Rebels/Renegades)...

EagleStix doesn't want to spend all that money for 3 games.

Fall Fest Predictions

Eaglestix over BLC in Championship

(M&D vs BLC is a tight one but I think BLC pulls it out)

36 2027 teams playing in this one.

Before the first countable games start, any predictions on final rankings at end of season. Here are mine.

1. M&D. -- #1 until someone can consistently beat them
2. Aces. -- could even be 1, definitely best offense in the country
3. Heros -- Even without any additions, solid at all positions
4. Steps Navy -- Remember this is the year Steps teams combine. Expect them to beat all the teams above them at one point in season. May be the best team in country by high school
5. Yellow Jackets -- beat NY team, but just not as athletic as other YJ teams
6. Madskillz -- the opposite of 5, darn they have speed
7. Eagle Stix -- Think they fall off a bit
8. FLG -- playing in all the big tourneys this year
9. Alliance CA -- rumor is they will play a full national schedule this year; they are that good
10. BLC -- Too many girls looking ahead to capital

Re: Fall Fest

I could see four teams going undefeated -- M&D, Eagle Stix and M&D Shore (LBC), MD United. Wouldn't be surprised if Eagle Stix and MD United are odd teams out since they by far play the toughest schedules. Both M&Ds should breeze through all three games

M&D-- NEMS, Heros White, Integrity
Shore -- NEMS, Heros White, Renegades
MDU -- Heros White, Integrity, Coppermine
ES -- Coppermine, Pride, BLC

Alliance is a National team, shouldn't be included in these rankings, IMO.

Was Steps equally split? Seemed White team was better each year, for them to get into Top-5 is something.
