He could very well become the #1 recruit for 24’s…top schools already calling ANC. Pretty impressive

Tigers were only team with parents wealthy enough to fork over insane amounts of money to play in a pointless "all-star" game (only half joking). I know multiple 2026 kids offered a spot on the 2025 Philly team who didn't attend the tryout. A couple accepted (great people who happen to have a lot of excess cash) and others couldn't or didn't want to deal with the cost.

Do a little work. Registration thread for Nike Pennsylvania team says you are inaccurate. Registration shows who tried out and who made it.

True not as popular in PA as Under Armor and who cares? All that matters is does it help the players visibility. Schedule is against some of the best recruits. Son is on the older team, it has helped hi along with club and school.

This is a clearly weak event. The 2025 team is almost exclusively 2026 players and the 2025s on the team were ones who didn't make the UA team (the one 2026 on the UA team is on the Nike team as he was asked to play and didn't have to pay to register).

If you look the coaches for the 2026 team are the Tigers coaches. That is why they were allowed to try out and made the team.

Saying that like it is a negative. One of the best in the nation at there age forever. Read they first to win an NFL tournament from Philly. Great coaches and former players coaching. Wish my kid was that age and play for them. They ever starting another year?

Not a negative. Just why the 26's were allowed to try out. Tigers have always had great coaching that won't change.

(Aquino) is not a hold back. He just turned 16 a month ago and started at ANC as a Freshman at 14 yrs old and Sophomore at 15. I believe you are thinking about his older brother who’s reclassified from a 2023 to a 2024. Great kid and family.

You are missing the point. Nike LaxNationals has single grade teams (unlike UA). So this year there are three different teams: ‘23, ‘24, ‘25. Why are 2026’s on the Philly 2025 team???

Not many 2025s came to evaluations. Tigers parents have $400 to drop to get their kids' name on the internet as an all-star and put another jersey on the bedroom wall. Don't be mad at them for having the spare cash. Obviously an incoming freshman gains little by any recognition for a game like this, but who cares if that's how they want to spend their money?

Congrats to those playing, but this is not in the same realm as the UA tryouts/game.

Inside Lacrosse posted their year-end Public School Rankings Top 15 - Radnor is #7, with several teams who are currently participating in the Philly
Showdown at Maple Zone also listed.

The Tiger King put his own players (& son) on the Nike ‘25 team BEFORE tryouts.

Some players on both teams. Yes UA has more 2025 talent. The game lineups and rosters for Nike at all ages is strong. Best players in nation for other regions, look at the rosters. Lots of college exposure in older years. UA still stronger in PA.

Tigers are dissolving. Why does anyone care if the kids play up a year for a random tourney? They are all going to be on different teams next season.

You can do better than this in making up fake rumors during tryout season. Best teams add better players at tryouts. Worst teams get worse.

Us club lax has tiger beating them 15 to zero a week ago. Did you get cut or not make the team?

Don't agree with this at all! Do a PG, gap year, re-class - whatever. But don't take up a roster spot that should go to a local HS kid. Go play for team Ct or wherever you are PGing. Shame on the coaches for that decision. SMH....

I guess he considers his PG year to be a repeat of senior year. Per the UAAA rules:

Players who in the summer of 2022 will be rising high school freshman (class of 2026) , rising sophomores(class of 2025), rising juniors (class of 2024) and rising seniors (class of 2023) must tryout by region to be selected to Underclass Team.
