Oy, that is BS! How hard is it to just follow the rules of the tournament

Sounds like NGLL home cooking M&D typically gets.

Anyone notice how no M&D teams from 2026-2030 won Lax for Cure, yet all but 2029 won NGLL championship Mid Atlantic? hmmm.

All but 2029 made it to LFTC championship and two of the teams lost in overtime bravehearts. You’re conspiracy theory is dense.

Rules of the tourney allow for ref to keep time on field during playoffs. They can extend if games start late, but not for injury.

Yes, with OT, it can throw off the schedule so refs need to keep it on the field.

and non-mid atlantic team aces won L4TC at 2026 & 2027, so M&D still came out on top of the other mid-atlantic teams.

They are a legit top 10 team --very close to BLC in terms of talent and style. No way they should have played in that bracket. But at least they played in better bracket than the steps NJ teams. Some incredible offensive talent and a strong goalie.

If they were in MD, they would be the at worst the 4th best team.

Outside the YJ A one goal victory, there's nothing on their resume to back up that they are a legit top-10 team. Did they bring in ringers this weekend?

Lost to 51st ranked All American AIM

I'm not putting them above NEMS, Pride, LBC or MDU based on one impressive victory in a 22 min game.

They also handled Steps White in a full white. Those are two wins more impressive than any team Pride or NEMS has beaten this summer.

But I based my evaluation on the eye test, not scores. MD teams are more experienced and have better Lax IQ (from experience). However, Steps CA is just at another level athletically compared to the mid level A maryland teams (Pride, MDU, LBC, NEMS, Coppermine).

Obviously, if they played in MD, then they would get more Lax IQ pretty quickly.

Right, and at the 28 level, M&D and MDU have been within 1 goal of each other the last 3 times they've played each other, so nothing out of place there.

Trolls and haters. That's all this board has become. People miserable with their lot in life....or mad because their kid isn't on the top team. So the easiest thing to do is make up some garbage about kids ages, or cheating, or conspiracy theories.

Yet these same people will show up at Hero's, Skywalkers or M&D tryouts.

Hopefully everyone has a safe summer, your daughters team is successful...or at least has fun trying.

If you have to come to a Lax board to get some sort of mental release....you're probably missing the bigger picture.

At this point, do people really just show up to tryouts? Seems parents either should be reaching out to coaches or asking for a practice to guest play in.

Some do. However for top clubs, it is a waste of $$ unless you are ok with B team.

You need to remember that at tryouts, most teams will divide the girls into groups of 12-15 girls per station. These aren't random. All of the returning players, top prospects and top B team players are put into the top 2 or 3 groups. If you aren't in one of these groups, you won't get any real look from the coaches and will often be on a secondary field.

Any predictions on Hershey?

M&D vs Aces obviously game of the week.

Eagle Stix & Hero's Green avoid each other and both are set up for playoff seed.

Integrity should take their division (Renegades could give them trouble)

It seems as if Hero's and Eagle have the advantage. Automatic into playoffs. Either Aces or M&D will have to go home as it appears their division only gets one playoff spot. Weird.

They should have put all 4 of those teams together and let them fight it out.

Although integrity could be an interesting pick to make a run.

Good luck to everyone. Gonna be hot

M&D pool for this weekend is super weak besides Aces. Only team that could threaten those 2 is Pride. Eagle Stix / Hero’s Green pool has stronger teams…3-4 of the others are strong enough to pull the upset if HG or ES are off their game. Winner of HG and ES pool has the far easier bracket draw, however. I’ll go with HG over Aces in the final. Those four teams are so close. All will likely be one goal games.

Lean to Aces because M&D will be missing one of its top players this weekend.

Didn't Aces beat M&D twice last weekend with this top player on the field? Not sure what that should be the difference maker to you

Aces
M&D
Eaglestix
Hero's

Stating the obvious. But nobody outside of those 4 have any chance of winning this tournament.

I'd argue that Tradition has a "chance". They should win their division and anything can happen in a 20 min playoff game (see Steps California) . But 95% odds one of the top 4 win.

They may not win tournaments. But they never dodge the top brackets. I would think they would get seen just from playing the best teams. Cool group of girls. Parents seem friendly.

This is why you should have soccer first players on your lax team. Especially if you have a small roster.

Half their team randomly disappears for soccer on-and-off year round. People were speculating why players would leave their team? I’m sure this gets old for players who want to be serious about lax as their first sport.

Tourney went as expected. Aces got hosed because they only took one them from the M&D / Aces pool into the playoffs. That’s nuts. HG and Eagle Stix made it from the other one. ES was up on M&D by one but M&D tied it with ten seconds or so to go in regulation and won it in OT 3-2. HG over M&D in the ship by one. Nice they got the monkey off their backs. Those four top teams will play one goal games basically every time.

If I'm Aces I'm pretty upset. Them or M&D were getting hosed. Hero's and Eagle were playoff bound before tournament even started.

I know M&D plays the heaviest schedule and most games. And always seem to either win or at least make the championship. But after seeing 2 of their games this week, they look tired. Sloppy passes in defensive end. Players limping around.

Hero's played really well. Impressed with their middies and goalie. Very well organized.

Aces has a couple real sharp middies as well. Hard shots.

didn't get to see Eagle Stix. But they obviously had a great weekend.

I can see why the top teams are the top teams. An abundance of talent. Very impressive. It was fun seeing those teams up close.

It was hot out there. Hopefully everyone comes through ok and made it home safely.
