Besides the commits; RP has a good group of underclass players that will be D1 commits. They will be even better next year.

If Suffolk was having a dinner the date probably would have Been announced by now. There was no dinner for soccer in the fall so it may be a section xi thing.

I must say if there are 515 pages of comments- 500 of them are from Suffolk. Think it is Suffolk thing to brag about beating weak competition. But there are more top ranked teams in Nassau- only wished that it was more than 1 team from each county/ conference that played each other in playoffs. Class A is poorly represented in Nassau, but Class C would dominate Suffolk with most of the Top10 on LI coming from Nassau in this class. Or maybe expand the Nassau power conference to include some Suffolk "POWER" teams.

Anyone know why Suffolk County is not having a lax awards dinner? Is Nassau? Nassau is having an awards dinner in June. suffolk is not having a dinner. It is not a section xi thing. Its the suffolk county girls lacrosse coaches association who decided not to honor our girls. The association should be embarrassed! This will be year three of no awards dinner. These kids look foward to that night. All coaches who are not doing anything to make it happen are at fault also! We produce the best lacrosse players in the country and chose not to honor. them again. Its a disgrace.

Every parent should voice their displeasure to their section and coaches organization. If someone has the info post a link.

Coach said they book that about a year in advance. We were still wearing masks at that point in the fall. Would be tough to book awards night for 600-700 people if that’s the case.

If Nassau can figure it out, they can too! Disgrace.

This is exactly right. East Wind needed a commitment in the winter and with the rise in numbers at the time it didn't make sense to commit financially if they weren't sure it would happen. All of these kids get recognition at their own team dinners, through social media etc. If you have been to this event, there are 600-700 people. Everyone talks over all the presentations and people leave as soon as their kids receive their awards. It is def. not a very personalized night.
