If you dont turn the ball over with under 20 seconds then you dont lose. Stop crying

ECD did an analysis. Ball was out of stick before the horn sounded.

Or don’t give up a 2 goal lead in the final minutes.

Please, they were not robbed, obviously you were not at the game or you didn't watch the tape...the McD goal was legit. What's more important is that BL should not have given up the ball to put McD in that position in the first place. Hats off to BL for a good season, sometimes it just isn't meant to be. McD vs STM should be a killer game.
Agree 100% about turning the ball over. Disagree that they were not robbed. The ball was still in stick after the shot clock expired. It is the reason why the shot clock is being censored out of highlight film. The officials got it wrong. I don’t have a kid at either school so no dog in the fight. But the officials got it wrong. The game should’ve gone to overtime.

The officials got it 100% correct based on the sounding of the horn. Problem is the horn was being done manually and was not connected to the scoreboard, so whoever was responsible for the sounding of the horn could have been late, could have been early, or could have been right on time. One thing for certain is that when the horn sounded the ball was NOT in the stick. The refs use the horn not the game clock.

Even after time expired. Official at the table has the horn to blow. So looking at the video 0:00 on the clock ball still in stick. Ball comes out between 0:00 and horn being blown. Ref on field has to listen for horn and watch the shot not the clock. That being said the ref on the Field got the call right. Ball was was out of stick before he heard the horn. goal is good.

Kinda looks like you Moms teeth. Mangled with lots of space to grow.
What is wrong with you? Really? Why? Why is it necessary to act like this? I’m so hoping this is a “kid” and NOT a parent, but considering the behavior of parents on sideline, who knows!

Agreed. There are more respectful ways to point out that LB stinks.

Just tell them to watch the tape. Or the behavior in the stands. Or on the sidelines.

On the positive side, the LB Freshman team went undefeated. So there's a whole new class of promising kids who can get buried on the bench behind larger donors, and not developed.

You can't transfer without sitting out a year because of the MIAA rules. Lots of good players were kids sold a bill of goods at these schools. Then buried behind underperforming talent. Do your research parents. It's no fun sitting on the bench AND losing. Just ask all the kids at LB and CH.

Maybe the underperforming talent is actually on the bench - something to consider.

For LB to rebuild they need to reboot everything. It starts with the Administration. Without their support (and I don't mean lip service because there's plenty of that from current and past Presidents, Principals and ADs) alums, current and prospective lacrosse parents are tilting at windmills, not improving the Program. Loyola has failed to recruit (yes I mean incentivize through whatever legal and ethical means possible) enough dual or three sport scholar athletes to make their lacrosse program as successful as CHC. LB's championship teams have always had a strong core of mulitsport athletes plus a dedicated group of single sport laxers. They were led by coaching staffs that had a good mix of coaching and playing experience. When you combine a strong nucleus of A Conference football, soccer, basketball, wrestling and now volleyball stars (primarily speed/athletic positions) with a highly recruited group of lax rats, you generally have a great pool of talent to work with? Smart HCs recruit multi-boy families who show strong potential at the club level game. All's for naught, if your coaching staff can't evaluate, recruit or develop talent. Its a vicious cycle. Donors don't want to give to an unproven coaching staff or AD.

Whether the LB folks want to hear it or not, SP's hard at work rebuilding their Program and its looking good on the field. Regarding F/S and JV teams, larger all boys programs have all three. Your core contributors generally star on JV as freshman or play a meaningful role on varsity. Occasionally you will see a kid blossom from the F/S team and be a starter on varsity. If a Program is super strong (BL in 2014 and 2014), future Tewaaraton players can even end up on the JV roster for a year or two.....In a rebuild, the varsity HC will generally keep a superstar freshman on varsity to get him quality minutes and training. If I had a magic wand, I would endow the HC and both coordinators' comps if the Admin actually picked someone with a great track record as a proven recruiter, developer of talent and HC. Then I would endow a leadership fund, which could fund attractive partial scholarships for qualified multi sport scholar athletes. After raising the funds and hiring the right staff, it would take 2-3 years of successful recruiting and player development to translate into perennial playoff berths. Maybe now that the School has invested (lacrosse and football alums) millions into a modern practice complex, the institutional will to improve the lacrosse and football programs will arise from the ashes like a phoenix.

Thank you Mr. President! You can make LB great again!
They have already been given more money than god for their new athletic fields and stem buildings. A+ campus with D+ administration, coaches and players.

It sounds like you are ready to make a commitment to help make LB athletics great with all of your family inherited money.

No ref clearly got it wrong . The clock had gone to 0:00 and no further play counts. The ball left the tick after 0:00 . Clock on screen was tied to game clock,,,not some imaginary clock the official has on the field. Who came up with that silly excuse??

The horn sounds almost always after clock runs out, it is either after clocks goes to 0:00, which means the horn is after game is over or Humans manually do the horn after watching the clock go to 0:00.

The goal was a Bad goal. It shouldnt have been allowed and any sport that allows replays would have overturned the goal. The horn is Not the official time nor do officials use horns as official time. Maybe some of you brainiacs should read the rulebook before spouting off.

Bad Goal allowed McD to win game. That is the way it is and nothing will change it now, BL was robbed .

The game clock we saw on TV was tied synced with scoreboard clock. That is official time, not some made up delusional official time. Read the rule book and then come back with some actual real facts, not your delusional beliefs and hopes.

Result ,, Goal should not have been allowed. Bad Goal. BL had the game taken from them on a bad call.

The clock doesn’t really matter. Time is done when the horn blows. I don’t have a kid at either school, so it doesn’t matter to me. But, read the rules and/or talk to any ref in the MIAA. All the refs out there have analyzed this to death. They all agree the goal was good (I know because my husband is an MIAA ref and this is all they can talk about).

Guessing you have a kid in the Program and can't figure out how to "escape" your plight: D+ players and coaches to quote you. I feel for your pain. Someone gives a School Administration a restricted gift for the aforementioned purposes. The School doesn't comply with the letter of the restricted gift or does some slick accounting to pull out traditionally budgeted funds and replaces them with restricted gift proceeds. The only choice a donor then has is to litigate, which is an expensive and unpleasant proposition. The more probable outcome, the donor just stops giving. I've seen donors gift a high percentage of a kid's tuition as a restricted scholar athletic award. The School awards it to an "uncommitted" aka a less than serious athlete. The kids enrolls and quits all sports and continues to receive full aid. You can gift a phenomenal physical plant. You can even fund lucrative coaching endowments and attractive athletic and academic leadership awards but you can't stop administrators from hiring ineffective coaches or coaches from recruiting and awarding leaderships to poor candidates. Sounds like you believe LB has management issues. Maybe you should elevate your thoughts to the School's President or members of their Board?

You are a clown. Horn signals the end of the game. Ask any ref. Stop complaining that you lost. McD was the better team this time.

Read the rule book before letting us know how smart you are. Horn is the official end of game. One thing for certain is that when the horn sounded the ball was NOT in the stick. The refs use the horn not the game clock.

What??? Refs dont use the horn as official time?? LOL. The clock on scoreboard is official time, Read the rules before lecturing us.

You are a clown. Horn signals the end of the game. Ask any ref. Stop complaining that you lost. McD was the better team this time.

Who is the clown LOL,,, From Rulebook :

When available and functioning, an electronic clock shall be the official
timepiece. Where there is no visible clock, the timekeeper shall notify the
nearest official 20 seconds before the end of the periods and sound an air
horn at the end of each period.

Bad Goal, Goal was released from stick after the electronic clock read 0:00. Game should have gone into OT to decide.
