Bye Spaulding!!!! Hopefully Coach Phipps will get his program back in 2023. At least he gets to be the head coach next year as the current head coach is working his way onto the Navy coaching staff. Don’t laugh we all know it will happen for a year at Navy and then it’s off to the transfer portal because of lack of playing time. Pin this post as it’s going to happen in 2024. Navy has its lefty starter for 2 more years already on the roster and #24 from St Mary’s 2023 class will take that role for following two years. Amplo has a really good problem at that position. VMI here we come in 2024!

What a cry baby. Dixon has always been a cry baby. All MIAA teams promote and allow holdbacks , Now he is upset that some teams that are not LB bring in some overage ( double holdbacks) out of state players . LOL .. Waaa waaaaa Dixie
Loyola has 140 lacrosse players in its program. You would think they could do more with all that talent.

He means that Calvert Hall has been bringing in kids from out west for a year or two who can’t finish their careers out because they age out. They get a year or two out of them and then they are done. Bob Shriver mentioned on the livestream that the Culver transfer will be ineligible for MIAA play next year despite being a junior. The middie from Avon who played for CHC last year as a junior couldn’t play this year. Another pole at CHC was in the same boat. So rentals refers to their services. The league won’t allow a kid from MSJ to transfer to Spalding without losing a year, but grabbing a kid from Colorado for a year or two is perfectly fine.

It is within the rules. So why is the holdback League upset?

Dixon knows LB’s problems are deeper than “unfair transfer rules.” But it’s interesting that a Loyola dad would tweet that.

Because LB and CH are the two schools kids would be transferring away from. Both LB and CH horde players, feed them manure until their hs careers are gone.

It’s not fun to think “maybe I’ll get a shot next year” only to see another year wasted and no real playing time.

It would be funny to see all the 2nd line kids who don’t get a fair shot at LB and CH transfer elsewhere.

Is that what they are building across the street? Glen Burnie Correctional Facility seemed more appropriate for that location.

Now you’re talking my language. I have been suggesting not going to those schools at all. If you must start there, get out before they put the handcuffs on you. Those schools as well as BL & StP only have the best interests of approx 15-20 boys in terms of real development & playing time.

Spalding coaching should be fired. The ball hog boy wonder was never slide too or too late. That alone cost them the game. When boy wonder actually was slide to early he either lost ball or was none factor. BL, StM CH all will put a better D pole on him and slide early.

He will be a non factor in next game. Does Spalding not have any film on McD. Stop one man ball hog show and you win. So simple, worked all season . I guess Spalding coaches wanted to do something else LOL

Could have prepared by using their own ball hog.

They thought the pole covering him could handle him without a slide. Obviously he couldn’t. Cost them.

I heard a PG year or year at NAPS was required before attending to make sure performance was at a D1 level.

Without a doubt. Imagine kids who are in line to<play but get bumped by a college committed hired gun. Then you have to sit and watch all the fun and still have a smile on your face. What a joke.

So much talk about who is the better team. SJC, Bullis, McDonough, etc. However, it’s obvious what team produces the most impact players. Have a day Ben Smith. Boys’ Latin has the best players in this tournament. Not surprised. Big time players make big time moves.

Hater or sometimes the truth hurts. Archbishop Spaulding parents have been spewing their self righteous BS for 3 years & guess what the plan didn’t work. AS will stink for the next 5 years and may get relegated to the MIAA-B because no one wants to send a kid with talent to that tainted poop-hole in Glen Burnie. I’m sorry if I come off as a hater but I’m so glad I don’t have to sit next to the low class Spaulding parents at the Navy stadium like last year. I wish I recorded the Spaulding parents as they were MF-ing the Calvert Hall students and parents at last years semi final game. Karma is a biatch enjoy the early vacation….we won’t miss at the Navy stadium this year. And yes I know it’s Spalding but we spell it Spaulding because it bothers you butt-clown.

GI Joe looked like a deer in the headlights “coaching” yesterday. I figured he must be a decent coach but wow.

Sorry Mark, He is a decent player and had a good day due to poor coaching by Spalding. One man show is easily shut down with aggressive pole an early slide. Has worked for rest of MIAA all year. Team usually watches as he does his show. McD has looked average at best all year.

Watch BL next game. This is how you beat McD with ease. He will be a Non factor and BL wins by 5

No question, there is an agenda, But the truth is told by these agenda drivers as far as I can see. LB is dumpster on fire laying on the tracks waiting for a train wreck.

Last year and this year prove them out. LB needs a reset and some new leadership.

You have to waste time and state the obvious about a good education. Of course that should be 1st. Beyond that many other MIAA schools to look at that also are great educational institutions.

He won’t last at NAVY. I am betting he will leave after plebe year. He won’t have daddy there to make sure he is playing. True colors show when it’s NOT daddy ball running the show. SF will leave the program because who wants to deal with all the me me Hawks parents and entitled Hawks kids.

MCD and BL is going to be a great battle. CHC and STM is turning into an annual rivalry. Whatever the final, what an outstanding Tuesday Friday coming up as these 4 teams are very very good.

Hats off to StP and Severn for a great run and they will be in it year after year.

Gilman and Loyola will get back on their horses soon enough.

Lol so true. I was at the game and had to keep checking to see if he was even in. Did absolutely nothing. Navy’s starting lefty attack is a freshman right? You have the St Johns lefty and the St Mary’s lefty coming in who are both better. I am seeing jr being a strong 3 year starter for VMI or maybe Merchant Marine Academy. GI Joe looked like a deer in the headlights “coaching” yesterday. I figured he must be a decent coach but wow.

He won’t last at NAVY. I am betting he will leave after plebe year. He won’t have daddy there to make sure he is playing. True colors show when it’s NOT daddy ball running the show. SF will leave the program because who wants to deal with all the me me Hawks parents and entitled Hawks kids.

Spencer Ford has bounced from Broadneck to Dematha and now Spalding. He’s not loyal to any program. Just because he’s part of LSG doesn’t mean a thing. He will go to BL to coach his kid

I do believe SJC beat BL . SJC controlled the GAME and your big time players didn't do anything

Hats off to StP and Severn for a great run and they will be in it year after year.

Gilman and Loyola will get back on their horses soon enough.

I will let other folks talk about what a changing culture and Loyola's championship F/S team means for them next year. Gilman has been rebuilding for ten years now but next year they will turn it around. On the other hand, SP's rebuild (both coaching and personnel) is real as they were probably the second or third best team at the end of the season. Severn will always struggle with depth but are extremely well coached and have some top flight talent (especially their FOGO).

Four good teams left. CHC has the offensive momentum over the Saints. Only a great performance by their FOGO and keeper will keep SM in the game. Look for the Cards to win by 4. While the talent on the field may be comparable in the BL MCD match up, the BL coaching staff will take full advantage of their opponent's lack of preparation. Look for a shortie on one or two of the Eagle attackmen, pressure rides, motion and seal plays galore. If they win over 60% at the X and Petro is hot, its going to be a long day for the Eagles.
