Well it definitely was the coach, which it sounds like is also the club director.

Heros and LBC were caught in a weather delay with 6 minutes left to play in the 1st half..... Heros up 5-3
Both teams took the field at 3:45 with both full squads (and refs) in position ready to do the draw.....
The LBC coach said her team would not restart play and took her team off the field.
The 2026 Pride vs Heroes W game being played on the adjacent field, was completed on time (first half only)

Looking at the rules, which are a little vague on this very specific situation, but leaves it up to you for interpretation:
- A game score will stand at the point it was delayed if at least one complete half has been
played.
- Any team that forfeits a game due to lack of players or using an ineligible player will not be eligible for
the playoffs.
- Any forfeited game will be scored as a 10-1 win.


So in my view, by LBC saying they are not playing, when they had at least 15 players on the sidles at the time, they forfeited the game, which means they should be disqualified form the playoffs... If this is not right then teams that are getting blown out in the first half should just stop playing before the half is over and use this as their excuse why they can legally not get a forfeit loss

This is completely false. The lighting delay horn was not blown until 3:45 which was 30 minutes after the delay. No player was permitted to leave their vehicle until the horn was blown at 3:45 per the refs who were screaming at the players and families. The rule is the game must be completed by 3:55 which is 55 minutes after the start of the game. Hero's wanted to change the rules and ignore the 55 minute rule. They wanted to start the game before all of the LBC players were on the field which was at 3:50- 5 minutes after the horn was blown. This would not end the game by the 3:55 time rule. I am sorry that your team only wants to follow the rules when they benefit you. Your parents should be ashamed of themselves for screaming at 12 year old girls.

Who knew 13 year old lax would have so much drama. Note, if you are screaming at 12/13 year old girls, you should be banned from field.

LBC coach said if you are going to break the rules and play past 3:55pm then play the full game. LBC Coach was not going to play past 3:55pm to just hand Hero's the win. now they're mad. If you read below, why would the coach agree to play past 3:55pm just to get the first half in. I know a few of NEMS better players are looking at options this summer, hearing some might be going to TLC where there is a NDP / Bryn Mawr connection. I’m sure SW too

Coppermine has very good mids, that’ll be a hard rotation to crack

No one is going from NEMS to TLC by choice.

Officials on the field told LBC and Heros, when the original horn sounded for lightening, that their players were to "go to their vehicles immediately and they were to STAY in their vehicles until the horn blew again 3 times, signaling play would resume." The horn sounded at 3:45 pm, alerting players to return to the field. Just because some players returned before they were instructed, does not mean the game starts. You were supposed to stay in your car until the horn, end of story.
and yes, Hero's parents were yelling and screaming at the LBC players as they left the field.

I guess the next horn you hear for lightening, just keep on playing. Why even bother going to your vehicle? The horn signaling 'return to field" means what? Your late?.... Maybe the NGLL should put that in their rules.
and You can't compare the other game that was played at those fields because you don't know what the conversation was between those coaches and refs and what they were instructed to do during the delay.

Bryn Mawr pushes TLC hard, especially if you aren't on a big 3 club. Not as bad as Integrity/Spalding but it is real pressure.

The fact is LBC tried to cheat their way out of this, a Coach who is trying to teach their players the right way of doing things, would have played out the game and not intentionally stop play. That's what all of the other coaches out there did, your augment of amount of time left is up to the officials and their watches not the coaches, so there is no excuse for what LBC did, it was a clear attempt to cheat, and the parents should be talking to the coach about the lesson that was taught yesterday.

I am disappointed that NGLL did not consider this a forfeit as it allows teams to stop playing with out penalty in the future.

LBC coach and Hero's parents. That's a tough call on who's more annoying.

With that being said, I remember seeing LBC at indoor tournament and couldn't believe how salty the LBC coach was. Spent the whole time arguing with refs and complaining about rules.

She seems like a party-pooper.

NEMS - 7.5 vs. CCLax: NEMS takes out its aggressions after last week's missed opportunities for big upset
M&D Black -11.5 vs. Skywalker's: Not sure SW will have a successful stop and clear in this game
MDU -2.5 vs. LBC: Will be a fiery game. Lots of team switching between the two teams. Safe to say they don't like each other
HG - 13.5 vs. Cavalier: Pity the moms that have to give up their day to watch this
Integrity -5.5 vs. Stars: Integrity ends their spring on a high.

A little Tuesday action. Love it.

M&D will win by 15...even as average as they have been. Skywalkers is in for a drubbing
HG will win 19-1. I would call out sick if I were Cavalier (maybe they can borrow LBC quitting scheme and leave 10 minutes into game)
Give me LBC plus the 2.5 against MDU. Universe works in strange ways.

I think LBC wins because they are annoyed with the chatter on here recently. I also think Coppermine beats Hero’s White again as they seem to finally be playing well as a team. The others I agree with.

FWIW, I didn’t find the heroes green parents to be annoying at all, pretty chill group. Same w heroes white, little more vocal but fine.

The only parents I found to be awful were Coppermine 28B during middle school indoor league.

I think overall, the 27 parents are pretty solid.

Just heard that M&D won in the last seconds this weekend over NEMS. Sounds like a great game.

Wow, didn't realize it was that close.

Lots of really nice girls / parents on that Nems team and the HC is really cool as well.

They can score in bunches and if they win draws are dangerous.
