Joey Spallina from Mt. Sinai High School Earns Week #1 Boys' High School Player of the Week

The #1 ranked senior on Long Island and the entire country who is headed to play D1 ball at Syracuse University with the honor of wearing number 22 for the Orangeman has proven himself consistently since playing on varsity in middle school and setting records then and continues to set more records. Joey Spallina helped the Mt.Sinai Mustangs to win the Long Island Championship last year against perennial powerhouse Manhasset and with Spallna's current play, leading Long Island in points with (61) so effortlessly and the Mustangs remain undefeated, it is more than likely the All American will help lead the team back for a chance to make even more history.

With Joey registering his 200th career assist against Hauppauge who he set the single-game assist record last year against with 13 assists and since then has added 14 more assists in just 3 games, Spallina has has earned BOTC Week #1 Player of the Week honors voted upon by our staff.
