This is all true. You can tell Eagle Stix and Madskilz play all year. They head into fall and winter rolling.

Those 2 teams are here to stay. Eagle Stix is definitely a top 2-3 team. Madskilz top 7-8 for sure. Here's the list (no specific order)

Eagle Stix
M&D
Aces
YJ
Hero's
BLC
Madskillz

After that it's subjective

Exactly. The gap after the top 10 is massive. reality is that the 10th team is much closer to 40th than they are to 1st.

Not sure the gap is as massive as you believe and the ranking are garbage anyway. YJ lost to both MDU and Coppermine in the Summer. Hero’s lost to LBC this Fall. Aces lost to MDU this Fall. I think these teams are definitely the better teams but they can’t show up against these other teams and assume they will get the W. They have to earn it. Now the comment about 10th is closer to 40th is about Ranking and they don’t mean a thing. The 40th team is Coppermine which is clearly better than a lot ranked higher with SW and FCA being examples. It based on teams played and Coppermine based on results looked to always played Hero’s and M&D plus all other top teams. Also based on Fall scores that don’t mean anything with some teams having more multiple sport girls. Don’t sleep on MDU, LBC, NEMS, definitely not Pride and possibly Coppermine.

This couldn't be more inaccurate.

As far as ranking, look at 2020-2021, not the fall rankings.

No doubt there's a gap between elite and good teams but there is a huge gap from say the top-15 teams and top-30 and lower.
Just look at the scores from the summer.

As these girls develop and learn to play D and coach throw without unforced TOs, the gap starts to narrow.

I can also tell you, the California/Texas teams have a long way.

Part of the success of the Florida/GA teams is the lack of club options. In MD/NY, there are so many good clubs, the talent gets distributed. Imagine if there was no Coppermine/NEMS/MDU and those top players were on M&D or Hero's, how much of a force they would be.

This is true about Florida. But for right now, all of the better players in Florida and Georgia reside on Madskilz and Eagle Stix. Unless that changes, they are always going to be tough.

If you took the best talent from M&D, Hero's and threw in a few others and made one team, they would be impossible to beat. But the DMV talent is spread out. So that's not going to happen.

SW Blue finally joined NGLL, will be A division again. Will they show any improvement?

Cavs, SkyWalkers, CCLax and TLC are likely going to struggle but they will benefit from playing the top teams for sure.

Let me ask you this. Which is more likely. #33 Monster Purple beating #11 Pride or #11 Pride beating M&D?

Clearly the first scenario. That is the point. There is very little difference between the teens and the mid-30s. Sure, the higher rank teams will win most games, but there will be upset. That said, M&D and Heros will NEVER lose to a non top 10 team.

Your message is accurate. With that being said, Monster Purple isn't beating Pride. Lol. They are really bad.

But I get your point

LBC literally beat Heros
MDU beat Aces & YJ A

I think your point was already proved wrong.

As they age the talent gap only gets smaller, look at the 2022 2023 levels.

As they age the talent gap only gets smaller, look at the 2022 2023 levels.

So by that rationale, South Coast beat MDU by 10. So South Coast is better than Aces?

Stay on earth please.

Could be Aces were missing people. MDU could be missing people when they lost.

Point is, at full strength, Aces, YJA or M&D isn't losing to MDU. At least not this year.

Now LBC, they are on the improve.

BLC, LBC, Hero's and M&D are clear top 4 right now in Maryland

Yet last summer YJA lost to MDU. Who says Aces wasn't at full strength in Oct when they lost to MDU 9-4 yet on same day, beat LBC by 2 and only lost by 2 to M&D?
You think Aces players magically showed up between games?

Do a little bit more research before you start posting on things you lack knowledge on.

https://USCL.com/rank?v=2027&alpha=N&y=2021

You can use this link to look at game scores.

You can even go back a few pages in this thread to learn about some of the head scratching scores in the fall.

Maybe, in reality, some teams matchup better with others, or some girls have off games?

Given there are 14 teams in A NGLL for 2027, will there be only 4 playoff teams?

I'd prefer 6 (with division winners getting a bye) as each team will have 5 teams they will not play. Seems only 4 would allow a team with a favorable schedule to sneak in. Imagine avoiding both Hero's Green and M&D and instead getting TLC and CCLax for example.

Completely agree. Plus it is fun for the girls to experience win or go home games. Those are the craziest games because anything can happen when it is just one game. I understand Hero’s and M&D would still be the favorites but love the chance of a Cinderella Team. For the amount of money spent on the league it’s nice to let a few additional teams enjoy the Playoffs since not every kid can even make Hero’s or M&D.

Matchups are huge. Especially at the draw in my opinion. You can have great offensive players but if you dont win draws you won’t be successful. But that’s part of the game!

Very true.
Has anyone taken the time to do the scoring on some of their games? Its pretty eye opening to look at GBs vs DCs vs SOG.

I feel like M&D does a great job winning draws. They can just keep momentum by scoring then retaining posession.

My daughter plays Aces many times a year. And yes, they were missing people in the fall. As parents mentioned to me.

I don't need research. I see the top level games every tournament.

Obviously you don't. Because you would know Aces at full strength isn't losing to MDU

When your daughter's games are over, come watch the A Division games. Don't just rely on internet scores. See for yourself.
