And Boys Latin? Do they just disappear? And LB will have the best D in the MIAA next year. They will be a factor.

LB is all about me ball and pacifying certain parents and friends. Team D is nowhere to be found at LB. They will get blown out in playoffs. Zero Factor except to their loyal followers

On paper I agreed with you. I really liked their top SSDM, keeper and 2 of their close defenders before the 21 season started. Then I saw them live and they underperformed significantly. In my opinion BL had the best team D in the Conference last year despite losing their top close defender to injury. The Lakers did a great job in the playoffs forcing opposing teams play outside of their comfort zone (inverting poles, forcing finishers to carry, etc). That is why they won.

LB's top SSDM and keeper both graduated but they have both close defenders back. Not sure they have the depth/talent at the remaining 5 positions to be designated as a preseason number 1 D.

I think you guys should really invest your time into something more productive. Guaranteed you guys are over the age of 30 and are extremely unhappy with your life so you have to talk bad about 16 year olds to make your insecurities go away. Get a better job, or just do anything that keeps your mind off of talking bad about high school kids. You guys obviously failed as athletes so you’re projecting that onto kids in hopes it will cure your self image problems. Best of luck, -anonymous.

Might want to look in the mirror ,, MIAA might not be for your son and you. If this is too much for you, dont even think about D1 .

Tuesday and Friday afternoons in the spring are a multi-generational 50+ year tradition in Baltimore. The players on these teams are the athletic stars of our town. The coaches and players are fine to talk about. Banter is good and fun. Have at it and get a grip snowflakes. Its a tough world out there and the kids dont care about us adults smacking our gums. They are just like we were 30-40 years ago and love to play and win. Traditions matter. Go MIAA... #MSA-Respect

Jeez dude.. grow up. The 90’s were 30+ years ago. Put away the HS jersey and HM All American certificate and move on. No one cares outside of Baltimore. If others athletes would invade this sport it would be all over for the rest of us.

Dont really care about your opinion of Baltimore lacrosse culture. Its part of the traditions TODAY that we share with our families. Our HS communities are multi-generational and form the life long friendships we have. St Marys gets this and shares it with Baltimore- the traditions. Its why schools like Loyola, Calvert Hall, St. Pauls, BL, McDonogh, Gilman, and St. Marys are the only ones that win and will ever win. It has meaning to them.

Every team in the league has played MSA-MIAA lax for 50+ years, except perhaps Spaulding. Don’t think they go that far back.

First, as long as schools like BL, McD, CH make it an arms race and bring in kids, house kids, etc, there is nothing special about the formula. Anyone that wants to stretch the rules or throw money at it can win in the league. Nostalgia has no value.
Second, bad mouthing kids anonymously on the internet is classless garbage, that is an objective fact. Coaches or dads, Ok, it’s the Internet. Going after kids should be beneath anyone that pretends to represent the secret society of rich catholic schools or whatever pretentious babble you are throwing out.

Nostalgia is part of the brand and is one of the reasons top A Conference games often outdraw local collegiate games. You're naive to believe throwing money and stretching practice rules are all that's required to win the title. Regarding your second point, commenting on which team's offensive or defensive unit is better is not babble or an attack on specific kids. Coaching and chemistry are as much a part of the equation as the kids on the unit you're discussing. Yes, there are a couple of "yahoos" who post notIntelligent comments about specific kids or the re-classification topic but what we don't need is a bunch of Karens getting their panties in a bunch over their son's team or unit being critically analyzed. If your kid is lucky/good enough to go D1 or top flight D2 or 3, fans and former players will dissect every game and post comments.

And the Baltimore schools are doing what they have to in order to stay competitive with IMG, Culver, Deerfeild, Hill, etc. who import the best in the country and house them.

Get better or get worse. If you want to complain about getting better, competing, and fighting to be the best, then your weakness speaks for itself and the way you raise your kids. No-one starts in the same place. Thats life. Its not fair. Respect is earned and in sports, so is success.

Respect is earned in sports.
Except when you hold back in order to play down.
Those old kids don’t get any respect.

Exactly...and that is the best reason to hold your child back and let him play against younger children in youth...let them learn a lesson so HS will be a much easier ride.

Truth.
IMG, HiIl, Culver had totally mediocre to bad results in the Fall NHSLS.
IMG avoided the MIAA and still went winless at 0-2-1.
Culver beat the BL "B" team, lost to Spalding, and barely beat the MIAA's #6 team, CH.
Hill's teams went 0-1-2 and and 0-2-1 including getting rocked by an undermanned McD.

If Spalding could not take the championship with last year's cupcake schedule, I don't know what to tell you. Hey, it was a good run. And that win against CHC was solid gold and a fun little tarnish in BK's crown, so kudos on that one.

LB had a decent season and just couldn't close the deal vs. BL in playoffs, winning at halftime with BL unable to get anything going.....but BL made good adjustments and owned the second half I think 5-0 which gave them the W.

Predators have the potential to do something with StP but that's as yet unproven. It could go the way of Koopers who in the end developed more 2nd line Loyola players than St Pauls players, despite the St Pauls ties.

I thought private schools especially the Catholic ones got rid of Predators..Disturbing to know they are back at St Paul’s…

I like the MIAA as much as anyone, but for years prior to covid the MIAA was taking a beating from the Philly teams along with the Culvers, IMG , Hill etc.. The won some but also lost a bunch to these teams. Of course, we are talking some teams with many recruited heldbacked players.
