How did the mid Atlantic tournament finish? The website hasn’t updated the playoff results yet.

Looks like Heros White didn't fair so well. Did they all move to the Green team?

Heros White almost completely disbanded last years team. Players from that team found homes at numerous other clubs.

Only a handful remain from last years team. Some went to green. Some went to M&D. Some went to SW. White is almost a completely new team and it shows.

I heard Heros lost to Stars in Semis. Not sure of the score.

Glad to see greater parity in this age group. Seems like other teams are playing HG more competitively and in some cases beating them. Makes for more interesting league play and tournaments.

11-0 Stars
A lot to be said for a team that plays together as a team and not as individuals! No one player stand out……

Interesting that the tournament stopped logging results that would formally document that humiliating loss. I guess outside of a few people the rest of the lax world still thinks Heros unbeatable.

Sorry, tuning in late, Stars beat Heros Green 11-0?

Has HG ever had a loss like that? I imagine the girls and their parents are pointing lots of fingers. I wonder what TA thinks now about her decisions at the end of last season.

On a different note, stars must be way better. My daughters team beat them last summer (close) and was never within 4 of HG.

The 26 Stars team got 3 of the top 26 Pride players to join them. That might help explain the rise of Stars and the slight decline of 26 Pride.

This is pretty much the domino effect from Pride's HS program. The lack of commitments in HS is flowing down to Capital and Stars and players realizing they have a better path to Capital and eventually getting recruited if they move away from Pride.

In Spring '21 NGLL, Stars "Light Blue" only lost to M&D, Pride and the legendary Heros White team. Not to downplay their beatdown of Heros Green in the semis this past weekend, but Stars should have been in the Pink division in Mid-Atlantic with the big guns instead of Coppermine (when is Coppermine going to drop down??). I am sure Aces would have liked to be in the Blue division like Stars, since they did not make the playoffs with a much tougher schedule than they had at the National Fall Lax Festival. And Stars only lost to Heros Green by 1 goal at the National Fall Lax Festival.

Very true. None of the Pride HS teams are top tier. These 26 girls probably realized they would move to Capital next year so better to move now to allow for a smoother transition than what the 25 Pride girls went through when they moved.

Why move just stay at stars? Capital model seems easy to break with just a couple of classes staying with Pride and stars.

Stars lost to Jesters a few weeks ago. Pride just lost to M&D by one in the semis. They see like the same teams as last year. It’s Hero’s Green and getting crushed in a short game that’s the outlier. That’s more about the state of Hero’s than any other team. I’m understanding why they got rid of the White team now. Would’ve been real uncomfortable there.

This place is so much nicer when HG is speechless. I wonder if they have finally realized that the almighty green team is mere mortals like the rest of our kids…

Fall lacrosse rankings should be taken with a grain of salt. HW is at 37 and is... not good this year and would be beaten by several teams ranked lower than them. There are also several tournaments, like PTYG, where results were not posted so it leaves out some results.

Based on this weekend, Stars at #1 is legit. Not saying they are the best team, but have the most impressive resume in the fall. Does anyone know if they picked up a bunch of girls from Pride. Massive change from last year.

They were good last year, just missing a few pieces to the puzzle. 3 players from pride helped complete their game. Not sure they will hang on to the #1 spot, but they should be able to compete with the big kids now.

How is 3 losses the most impressive resume this fall? Pretty sure M&D and HG both have less losses than that this fall, and both beat Stars and played a much tougher schedule.

Nobody said they didn't lose. From what I can see, M&D has 1 loss this fall. HG has 2 losses this fall. Stars has 3 losses this fall. Eagle Stix has 4 losses this fall. M&D beat Stars. HG beat Stars and lost to them. Jesters also beat Stars. Just trying to understand how their resume is "the most impressive resume in the fall".
