Hahahahaha.

Not a Hawks parent, but what did you see? A fall play day?
Same coaches, players, they will be fine.

Well, apparently not the same players, someone said they lost a couple since summer. And over their last 3-4 games dating back to July they got smoked by Madlax and lost 9-5 to a mid level Freedom team. So, maybe not all is well in Hogan Land. And they’re skipping NAL, where their other green teams are playing.

It’s wild to think a team has to be undefeated to not be crisis. Most of the teams in Delaware were great. Madlax is a great team. Is it binary? You’re either undefeated and amazing or lose a couple game and are trash?

Nobody is buying what you’re selling, Cab.

Screenshot all this Madlax garbage so they can eat D’s later this season.

Yes 2028 board, back to basics! This is the sort of thoughtful, urbane ML/Hawks banter I was missing during that weird Preds period on here.

Stop acting so Hawkward , It wont be used as ML will be top team this year. Bank on it.

If you want to go back 18 months, let’s just go back 3 years. Hawks couldn’t keep within 10 goals if Madlax and NL never beat Madlax until Fall 2020.

Hawks are a fantastic team— as someone said, there will be ebbs and flows. But Madlax is tops at the moment. Could be a different deal in 6 months. That’s a long time.

New ML dad joining the banter. NL always comes to play vs ML (not the past weekend, however). Regional rivalry, good matchups and coaching. It is what it is and not unique to the 28 grad yr for u rednecks up in the bay area.

Re the Hawks...great program and the 28s will be fine, but it's pretty obvious they would lose to ML right now by a significant margin.

The excuses the parents have been using (other sports commitments blah blah) are dense. ML has the same issues and will be running a little lighter in the line up this fall at some of the games. Show up....u might be able to beat us then.

I think everyone agrees Hawks and Madlax are 1-2 in some order. How do we think the rest of elite will play out since we are popping off about spring? Next Level and FCA have been knocked around a little here in the early going of Fall though mostly by good teams. Will Crabs or True make a run at third place? I think we can put to rest Preds or VLC making a jump to elite. So we are really talking BLC plus either True Kelly Post or Blue Claws as the final two teams. Kelly Post opted out of elite last year so it seems Blue Claws will likely be the last team since they have put teams in elite in other years like 29. Can BLC or Blue Claws jump up from the 7/8 slots?

My guess is no one really makes a jump and we end up:

Hawks
Madlax
FCA
Next Level
Crabs
True Annapolis
BLC
Blue Claws

There is a drop off between Hawks and ML to FCA and NL And then another drop off to the crabs and true tier. Then falls way off after that.

As far as game outcomes, there may be a few surprises here and there but might end up with chalk.

AAA on the other hand seems to be a lot more unpredictable.

Crabs will make the jump. They got some offensive fire power this year. They played close games with FCA and next level. Last year. But time will tell.

What excuses? When Madlax lost last spring, there were no excuses other than the Hawks just played better. Nothing about refs, nothing about “missing kids to football” or other B.S. They got outplayed by the Hawks in the spring. Not the case in 25 of their last 26 games, with the only loss a NL OT to NL.

Teams do lose...sure, they might lose in the spring. But for now— they’re #1, fools.

Madlax parents and coaches/owners on here are embarrassing. We all love the selective statistics you like to brag about. Just act like you've been there before, be quiet, and let the kids play. Your ego being bruised by a fall ranking put out on an anonymous board by a self-described bored dad is more than a little sad and pathetic. Nobody really cared before, but now everyone is rooting against you. A lot of talk and success...and absolutely unlikeable. Oh, and having a bunch of rich-kid wasps running around wearing "Run DMV" gear is not what those guys from Queens were thinking. Those guys were bosses. You guys aren't even close.

True DC does not belong on the AAA list.

We will have to see how the new NL Red and Madlax DMV teams do with all their new players.

Madlax DMV added some new blood and are better. They went 0-3 the last tourney with some close losses. Their D is pretty solid but have some problems transitioning the ball and generating offense.

True DC is Eastside who was AAA last year and was a fine team.

NL red and ML Dmv should be in AA at best.

They went 0-3 against 3 Elite teams. That's tough for a new team.

VLC went 0-3 last weekend, doesn't seem to bode well for AAA.

This was their first time playing together (we played against them). While the score was lopsided, they have a ton of big and athletic kids. They are 100% a AAA team, sniffing around the bottom of Elite. Every bit as good at True KP, BLC, and some of those others straddling the line between Elite and AAA

I mean maybe, but they did lose 7-0 to BLC who seems to have improved quite a bit over last year based on the scores last weekend. But I don’t think VLC are all that close to even the bottom teams in elite.

The point is that most of the teams in AAA have gone through massive changes. And other teams below that have added talent. It so really hard to tell who should be in it. Maybe ha e two divisions? And a schedule that matches up each week based on scores?

For example, does anyone have a clue how Forest Hill, HLC, and Cannons came out with departures?

Just a couple departures at FH. No starters lost.

Played FCA white last weekend. I can confirm PP. I was wondering if they picked up some Blue players. Very good. Very physical.

No one is doubting that FCA white belongs in AAA. Question is whether they should move to elite. Kudos to them if they can. This is very coming in girls leagues. Having A and B team from same club in top 5 or so. Eg. Hero’s

FCA White is good but remember you are still the FCA B team. Some of those parents can’t handle that. You also played some cupcakes last weekend in an Aloha tourney. Cheers!!!

So Madlax plays a bootleg Predators team twice and a team from GA twice and they want to complain about being #1 or who the others teams are playing? Madlax parents are the absolute worst.

Looks like Madlax is ducking competition. Venom, 2way, Express North, and Long Island Express are all playing each other in NY. Why is Madlax playing Preds and a GA team twice rather than seeking out real competition. Sounds soft to me.
