Both of the LI teams are undefeated and the north team has only allowed 4 goals in 4 games. Maryland didn't win any games.

According to twitter LI North is on to the semi's and LI South has lost in the quarters to Rochester 10-7

LI North(aka Turtles) won the championship. They only gave up 7 goals in the entire tournament. Beat Rochester 13-2 in the championship game. Rochester is the team that bounced LI South in the quarterfinals.

LOL, I bet they play anyone anywhere?

Many of the Brine teams have 7th graders.

Big Tournament this weekend in Baltimore. Here are the number one seeds: West Coast Starz, Turtles, Crabs, VLC. Terps Black is a two seed and Tru Blue a four seed. Will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Turtles lose to Crabs in the Finals, Terps win 1 game

Brine National Lacrosse Classic – parent observations on Middle School Boys Academy division

Of the 400 players over 300 were 2017s, about 80 were 2018s and less than 20 were 2019s

The athleticism at the event was phenomenal. The game was played very fast. All regions had great athletes. I do not think any one team stood out athletically.

The Long Island teams stood out the tournament for two reasons

Coaching – it is painfully obvious that the boys from LI are receiving better coaching day in and day out when back at home. For example, on other teams, basic slide packages failed regularly. One of my son’s teammates repeatedly claimed to be the “hot” slide regardless of where he and/or the ball were on the field. Middies dodged through heavy traffic while wide open teammates were stuck watching the turnover.

Team Play – with two teams for LI at the very least each club represented by multiple players should have had their club rosters split in half. The LI North team did not fully utilize their allotted field practice time on Monday. Why would they? Two games to play in the heat later that day, and these boys have been practicing together for years. Another 45 minutes wouldn’t make a difference. It was clear from the execution of plays that these boys were running plays beyond what was coached on July 1st.

This is very disappointing and a lost opportunity. All Star weeks are all about meeting new friends and passing to someone who is wearing a different helmet than you.

According to the schedule, turtles would play WC Starz in semi if both win through. Starz beat crabs in spring scrimmage. Would not anoint the Turtles into the finals right away. Some tough games in all pools.

Where is the Young Gunz schedule posted?

Terps regular, black, grey, yellow, green, orange, blue or white?

how can that be, I thought they were the chosen ones? Crabs to big? Too fast? Too many goals? Bad refs?

Terps played well win two games lost to the crabs in the semis. The head coach was coaching the 2018s so Terps were at a slight disadvantage

Any word on how Long Island teams did in crab feast young guns tourney?

Turtles lost to dukes 6-3

Great Tournament at Young Guns. Dukes HHH (PA) beat WC Starz in pools, Tenacious Turtles, 6-3 in Semis and Crabs 6-5 OT in Finals. Greay\t games, great action.

Dukes beat the Crabs in the final in overtime.

How did the Jesters and fl$ do this weekend.

And their star attackman had a cold and a few boys
were tired from the long drive and the refs were
unfair and a few terp blue kids showed up and blah
blah blah...

Jesters ended up 2-3 and out of the playoffs

fl$ beat Philly Fever in the finals to win the tourney

Why was MC coaching the 2018 team instead of
the '17 team? Most competitive tourney of the summer
and he abandons the '17 team??? Get me my $ back!!!

I watched the west coast stars vs turtles
6-5 turtles but... the difference was the turtles' face off guy won all face offs to hold off a MUCH more athletic west coast team who I later found out that never practiced or played as a team until this tournament...

I watched TB play the crabs very tuff in a loss after a slow start 7-3...

terps did not play them as well in an 8-2 loss
