I love that you said 91 goalie is best on the island. The Rebels goalie has been telling everyone that he is #1 sounds like a fun match up. Whose thinking Rebels goalie sitting the bench makes him quit lacrosse after this season?

For anyone who Knows this parent knows that the people that are happy to see her go are genuine. She is a nightmare for everyone she interacts with. She passes judgement on everyone. She killed her own Smithtown people because they wanted something better for their kid, right or wrong that was their choice. What she is doing is no different. What is different is that she claimed that the rebels head coach was her friend and she stabbed him right in the back. Again not surprising she has left every coach she has been associated with wounded on the side of the road.

There’s still bitterness from the group that went to Turtles - been bashing the Rebels every chance they get. All to make their own poor decisions look good. Enjoy your time with another new club, meanwhile the Rebel org has thrived without you and your trashy sideline behavior. The posts were written to provoke a response - keep typing back and forth to yourself, noone will bite. The Rebels are like any other 11 year old team, not perfect, but all willing to put in the work to get better, with a staff that can get them there.

Let this be a PSA to anyone who may consider being a the rebels. This group is out of control, nasty and classless. They have entered into a league of their own. As someone posted earlier kids left several other programs all over the island and nobody said a word! This is beyond absurd behavior and needs to stop.

All you people complaining and fighting about what team is better, let the kids play and have fun...they are 11 years old, by the time they get to high school half of these “All stars” are going to stink and half of the kids nobody knows about will emerge. Parents should do what they are supposed to do, stand on the sidelines and encourage the kids. Some of you need to grow up you sound like a bunch of fools!

Who did venom beat that makes them so good? Seems like they went into hiding. Showed up at a Blatant B tourney to win a championship? Oh they were playing up in 2027 B bracket and losing so they came to 2028 B to win the championship so silly!! Venom players are leaving as well.

Now that this season is coming to a close. A new thread will be popping up. Can we stop with all the rebels talk.I get what everyone is saying about the organization. It carried over from the same outlaws management. But at the end of the day these are kids teams. No need to be so vicious. Things will get sorted out in high school. Then we’ll see how much all this bickering mattered. In the meantime enjoy the rest of your summer. Only a few short weeks left before we start practicing again.

Not sure if this thread is more comical or disturbing. Let’s remember that you grown adults are talking about a bunch of 10-11 year olds, with a side of 12s. I sure hope your kids don’t ever read these because they would probably be embarrassed themselves. Hmmm I wonder why cyber bullying is rampant among kids. If you feel so strongly about your comment and can back it up, take ownership and tell everyone who you are and what club you represent. Then, maybe us outsiders would take this forum more seriously. We’d especially know which sidelines to avoid.

More importantly, is your son growing on the team he’s on? Is he having fun? Is he still loving the game? If so, that’s the reason he’s on a team. If you’re not happy, move on and spend your time doing something besides bashing kids, parents, and clubs.

If you are new and looking for a travel team, please for the love of God, do not base your decisions on any of these comments. The posts are anonymous, so credibility is lost. Probably the same few people posting as other teams to stir the pot. Call the clubs. If you can speak to the coaches, try. The coaches may act/feel differently than the clubs and you may walk in to a philosophy that is different form what you’ve been promised. Sometimes the top clubs don’t have the coaching to back up their reputations. Sometimes having coaches who don’t have kids on the team aren’t as vested into the team and do the bare minimum. Go to all the tryouts. Find your son’s fit. Most of all, don’t believe anything on this forum.

As for all the Rebels talk…I can’t imagine the posts being written by actually Rebels parents. May be some salty blood out there pretending to be Rebels parents. Again, this is all anonymous. No credibility.

Do as we tell our own kids…don’t believe everything you read. Silence is Golden. Treat others as you want to be treated. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t speak.

This misconception is over. Rebels are ran nothing like outlaws. Rebels owners and management are all great people that actually care about your kids.

When you puff your chest, your son is on a scholarship, people tend to believe it’s due to your performance, and Rebels goalie mom did that. Guess what? It was nice that Rebels gave a kid a chance who couldn’t afford the opportunity?, No? I think that’s kind of really nice.

No matter where rebels goalie went legacy or 91 each team has daddy coaches. Friendship have been made, all new players will have to perform and rise above friends of daddy coaches sons. It is what it is. Good luck to everyone. Next year should be interesting.

Rebels has really good coaching. The kids could develop well under them. The problem is and always will be culture that the parents bring and the kids learn from. Those parents, the ones that don't stop talking, that scream obscenities at games, that ruin outings like at Lake George because they think they can do whatever they want, that have kids that shoot other kids with BB guns. They're going to ruin those boys. Plain and simple.

That comment is not true. I know for a fact that the scholarship was given because they wanted the player, at any cost. I know this because...let’s just say i know for a fact.

Venom should have some collection of parent personalities this year. They need the FOGO from Legacy to really cap it off.

More importantly than all of the nonsense written about, what are the available clubs on Long Island that are looking for players? Is it too late?

Are both A and B teams treated the same and given the same opportunities in the club? I don’t care if my son is on a B team, but will he be given opportunities to possibly rise to the A team? Does that ever happen from your experience?

I imagine most of the A teams are set with only a few positions being looked for, but what happens to new players?

My son attended St. Anthony’s lax camp. Seems rebels 2030’s have carried on the torch for the Rebels reputation. Gang mentality on the first day led to multiple withdrawals and complaints from other parents. St. Anthony’s ready to address issues at beginning of day 2 with whole group, only to have 8 rebels kids show up late, together, wearing their championship green hats from previous tournament. My thoughts were, what parent, in their right mind, sends a group of kids in to a camp attended by all lax teams wearing their hats? The parents allowed it and obviously supported it. Pathetic on many levels. I’ve had to walk away from 2028 Rebels moms to enjoy games. Now I’m seeing it is truly the culture. Bad look Rebels.
