i was waiting for that! yes Towermen are the greatest team ever assembled to compete in the medicine game. The parents are athletic visionaries and should be worshipped. Every member of the team should be able to sign with their d1 choice immediately (some straight to pll). Towermen parents should be studied in labs so we can clone them into a master race.

Having talked to a few Towermen parents at the WS and other tournaments, I'm pretty sure they know CoachC and Sweetlax are the top 2 teams in the country with Hawks and Tigers right behind them. 3D, Towermen and Black Ops are in the next tier.

Whoever is saying Towermen should be number 1 is probably a troll of another team.

Mr. Sweetlax Upstate is #1 back yet again. You always lose to Express Channey (it is 0-10 now can't keep up?) and Towermen, Tigers, Hawks. Lost in NAL quarters behind those teams and lost in WSYL semi. Brag when you win something. All the teams above have beat the other and won big tournaments.

Why is sweetlax #2? What is their record vs Tigers and Hawks?

Just want to get ahead of this one, Towermen parents are aware of the new algorithm that makes up the rankings. We are happy with a great weekend but in no way declaring a #1 ranking. We always got along with Express parents and huge amount of respect for their team. On a side note, 3D NE players and parents are as solid as they come - good people.

Sweetlax should be #6 behind Express, Tigers, Hawks, Towermen and probably Laxachussetes

Towermen parents were happy but respectful. Towermen came back to beat 3d, scoring 3 straight to close the game. Probably a heartbreaking loss for those kids on 3d. Then took it to LI Express and won a close one. Saw the 3d parents and players actually giving them high 5's and clapping for their championship. Sportsmanship at its finest. At this age, any team can beat any other team on any day. We should appreciate and applaud the efforts of these kids, playing at a high level vs trolling and boasting.

Well said. Plenty of mutual respect and sportsmanship amongst parents and players on 3D, Tmen and express yesterday. It was great to see.

This algorithm nonsense is a joke. I am not a towermen supporter just a lax fan. It is mid-July and the best summer teams aren’t determined by results in March or May or June. Towermen beat 3D NE and LIE CoachC at the latest weekend tournament. Why should it matter what happened before? Lax teams don’t play a best of 3 or 5 or 7 series against each other like other sports. The last game you win or lose let’s you know where you stand. Same as in NCAA. Based on algorithm UVA was worst team in ACC but UVA won their last game against an undefeated Maryland. Same thing happened to BC wlax- lost to UNC and Syracuse several times but in the last tournament beat both. Same applies to USA vs Canada- best team is the one who won the last game. If Sweetlax beats LIE at NLF then Sweetlax is better than CoachC. Same thing if Hawks win NLF. Lacrosse teams get better or worse during the summer and it is pretty clear Towermen are better since they won! It is not arrogant for UVA or BC say they are the best even though maybe better players on other teams or overall record not the best. Beauty of sports is you settle disagreements on the field. Summer season is ending and whoever wins their last tournament is the best among those teams competing. If your team doesn’t win you will get another chance next summer. Stop crying and enjoy the high-level competition.

By your logic, if a 1-10 NY Jets team beats a 10-1 KC Chiefs team, everyone will say the the Jets are a better team. Is that what you’re saying? Lookup regency bias.

Not how the formula works - average strength of schedule and goal differential. If you want to boost your ranking win by more goals.

This is a ridiculous argument. Everything doesn't hinge on one game unless there is a national championship where all top teams (top 20) are there. Other than that, you can't base "who's better" by one game. There are so many factors, like travel, missing players, injuries, illness, conditions, etc. From what I saw, the all world FOGO for LI Express wasn't there. Could he have made a difference in a 1 goal game? Maybe, maybe not. But if he had been there, the outcome may have been different. Kudos to Tmen for a hard fought win. Great to see kids battle and play so well, on both sides. But to say that "you are what you've done in your last game", in a 30 or 40 game summer season is ridiculous. Think college football BEFORE playoffs. There was a number 1 team determined by the cumulative record over the course of a season. Until there is a definitive national championship (not the NLF, where half the Top 20 aren't even there), then you will have to rely on something better. And in the end, who gives a bleep about who's number 1...certainly not college recruiters and scouts.

Clearly, someone is trolling as a towermen parent because we aren’t even going to NLF. Our summer season ended last weekend!

It doesnt make a while lot of sense to me when you click on the 'rating math'. Clicked on the Hawks..... Beating Express at NAL had a +/- of +2.94. Beating their 1st two opponents at Naptown by a combined 23-2 gave them a combined +/- of -2.94. How does that make sense? Clicked on Express..... Their highest +/- was +4.18 for a win over Towermen. They had +/- of -4.5 and -4.17 in blowout wins over Eels and Lone Wolf. Too much is put into the goal differential it appears.

Get a life

Most of the tryouts for the Long Island teams are the same week. July 26. It makes it hard to try out for several teams. It's frustrating.

Which teams overlap?

Express,Legacy and 91 tryouts are same days.

By design I would guess.

They're all multiple days, so I'm sure you could attend parts of whatever teams your son was interested in.

Are people that unhappy with their 2026 team that they are trying out for numerous teams ?

If your looking for a new team then yes usually you tryout for multiple teams. If you only tryout for one and don’t make it, you are screwed.
