What happened to all those D1 recruits at Carey?

No. Everyone knew that GC was down this year and next. The port daddy was on here pumping his chest when they beat GC. Saying they were great. They are the same team as always. Good but not great.

Good luck, they've been terrible for years. Unfortunately for some the stats do matter. County and conference leaders are based on incorrectly reported and recorded stats. I'm on my third player now so I've given up. I did a check a few years ago with saves and the winning teams goalie was padded by more than 5 additional saves. For those who say it doesn't matter try asking your kid.

LILJ is more like the National Enquirer

Can we discuss the great amount of parity with Suffolk Division 1? Almost everyday there are great games. Huntington undefeated, Smithtown West making a charge, Northport destroying Melville. Who knows who wins this division

Suffolk D1 very fun to watch the scores every day. Who makes post season and how that shakes out will be exciting.

It is fun to watch and follow. Any given day any of the top 10 teams could probably take it. Let's all enjoy it.

Halfway through the season and Parent chirping is at an all time high. Every week games are being stopped and Parents are being escorted out. Please let the players play, coaches coach, and refs ref. The only impact your screaming has is to embarrass yourself, your kid, and your program. No ref ever picked up a flag because Joe Shmoe (who cant even run 10 yards without a coronary but somehow knows more about the game than the Creator) screams about a foul they thought they saw from 40 yards away. I’m sure, if asked, the kids would rather play without the parents watching. Parents, please stay classy - no need to have an aneurysm when things don't go the way you thought they should - chill the ‘F’ out, for your kid’s sake.

I have not seen anyone get removed from a game, is that really happening?
I have no problem chipping at a really bad call but, the same people flip out on every call gets old.

With that said, the entire ref system needs an overhaul. Half of them can’t physically get out the the way of game action. They are too old and physically unable to ref properly. I hear there is a shortage but maybe they need to get paid more. It will never be perfect but it needs to get better.

Agreed! Some really bad ones out there that don't know the rules and make it about them, and change the outcome of the game. That should never happen!

YES!!! We heard a parent scream "WHY'D YOU PUT THAT KID IN?" from the stands at their Coach. How demented a human being do you need to be to yell this towards your own bench? I don't understand how that team's parents (and Coach) can sit there and let this lowlife ruin everyone else's experience. Should be a pretty easy convo from Coach to Parent, "Shut up, or you won't be at any more games." Please check your ego when you're watching these games, noone cares that you played back in the 1980's.

Walks around like he is the king of popularity when really no one likes him. Most people just tolerate him because they don't want to cause headaches for the kids. They coach from the stands, yell at the refs, insult the kids when they make mistakes. Meanwhile his kid(s) are average at best. Then after the game they offer advice to the coaches. My siblings and I live across L.I. All of us have this guy. It's incredible that the Coaches don't tell them to shut up.

LOL. So true. We have that guy in our town too...in fact, I think we have one for every grade in the district.

Got one that has taken penalties and another that called the HS coach ahead of a big game to say he didnt think the team was prepared.

We've got them also... one from Igloo, 91, and Express. The dad's are the loudest most obnoxious as they come!

Ever think there may be a shortage from dealing with the likes of you and the issues you just brought up about the parents? It was just mentioned let the players play, coaches coach, and refs ref...and what do you do? Bash the ref. Disgrace.

I can name more than one from each "lax" town (Manhasset, GC, RVC, Smithtown, WI, MS). Lucky for us, they coached PAL, had "select" town teams for their kids and the buddies, then graduated to coaching from the sidelines during club lax, and now rule the sidelines at the HS games. Love this place!

Syo is soft. Always have been.

I think it comes down to Syosset or Farmingdale. We will find out next week. I think this is Syosset's year. Class B has Garden City picking up steam Southside fell off and so much for Carey and their D1 commits. Manhasset looks good and may be one of their best teams in the past few years.
