Laxachusetts, is your team coming to the wsyl qualifier? This^^^^. When you have to be on age it is amazing how teams are a no show. Same with some other organizations

On age. LOL. People were complaining about holdbacks before Covid ever existed. You haven’t seen anything yet. There are going to be holdbacks on top of holdbacks. Kids will be graduating high schools at 20, 21 years old. Unless club teams come out with an on age rule( which we all Know they are not), going forward this is going to be a mess.

Sadly, I think this poster is correct. Navigating this post-Covid environment (when we get there) is going to be challenging for athletes who want to continue to play in their true grade.

If you are public you can’t just snap your fingers and your kid is held back. There are significant hoops to qualify for a repeat year. Taxpayers don’t want to pay twice. If you are in private school unlikely you are going to be held back (parent should get their money back if that was the case) The only viable scenario is a kid going from public to private ( will be a very small number that do that). Bottom line not much movement but less smart kids.

It was pretty cool the registration process with filling out and sending in birth certificates and report cards. See you guys in July Now it will be funny to see like Black Ops and Nationals who are pulling on age kids from Madlax, BLC, Rough Riders and True because they can bring their actual club team.

Correct. Critics can point their guns elsewhere when the Hawks bring their team to the WSYL, while other teams combine and/or have open tryouts and create new teams (and some are STILL having tryouts).

Hawks are only competitive when they have their holdbacks suited up. You must have added players from somewhere? You aren’t showing up to WSYL with 15 kids.

Coach C will have holdbacks at every level. Express will be the top team at the WSYL simply because he has mastered the shut up plan. 2024 kids are playing on the 25 team, and 2025 kids are playing on the 2026 team. You heard it here first...........Express teams will win. The best players on the team that you think are grade level will be 1 or 2 grade levels above. Coach C is a mastermind and its done. Covid will be the excuse but he will have HS level players smashing your on age kid. 2024 vs 2026............ Coach C has the cards pulled. You lose............

Every kid on 26 is age appropriate for the WS, born 9/1/7 or later. What is stated above is complete BS, except that they might win. No guarantees but if they play well they'll have a real shot at it.
