They cut 5th graders, 4th graders and these poor girls end up hating lax. The people that run LBC have never played lax and have trouble keeping coaches that have knowledge of the game. It's easy to have your kid peak early, its harder to have your kid keep peaking. LBC cuts and cuts. BEWARE!!!!!!

First off their director, while may not have a lacrosse background, is one of the best coaches on the eastern shore. Look what he has done at Easton with what he had to work with (Easton does have some great players so not trying to be negative). He also has numerous teams that compete with the best in the country, due primarily to him coaching them up. Every club cuts 4th/5th graders with exception of CC Lax as they have been known to warehouse kids for years. When 90 players show up for a grad year tryout at MD United, how many actually make it? 44, so you do the math. Every club fundraises, however at east LBC reduces tuition based on the amount of fund raising. No other club does that. Our family is not affiliated with LBC, however we hear the Eastern Shore rumors. Why did LBC absorb Saltwater from Salisbury? I'm guessing because Saltwater knew it would make for a better situation for them? There are also people claiming they poach players. All clubs do that. Enough of the LBC bashing! Our guess is that the parents that left are the ones that could be psychotic, not all, but some.

For a family not affiliated with LBC you seem to know all the details about the director and his club.

Attacking Easton High School girls "what he had to work with" Must be a QA parent

Not a QA, Caroline or KI parent. No anger issues either. Just a family that is good friends with current LBC parents and has daughters that play/played elsewhere, therefore we are neutral. We are familiar with the organization, as we like to compare it to the ones our daughters have had a chance to play with or play/played for. OK, the directors made mistakes. Move on. Our daughter’s director has made mistakes too. We just didn’t have the crazy parents after the fact posting their vitriol, hence it could be a parent problem.

First off what team or parent wants one goalie? Answer that one!!!!!! If you want one goalie as a coach - your fault because kids get sick or hurt and that could leave you with none. If you are a parent and think having one goalie is good - you are selfish and not thinking about the "team"

When I am looking to purchase something I always look at the reviews. There are always a few people who write bad reviews. When the majority of the reviews are bad I move on to the next item. Move on to the next item. There are other options. Talk to parents, talk to coaches, talk to kids. Don't just talk to the director or a parent. There will always be a parent who has or had a great experience and vice-versa. Travel lacrosse is a big commitment. Do your research.

MD united usually has two teams per grad year, so there are usually not as many cuts. CCLax does take the ones that try out, and they will foster a younger girl to LOVE the game because she may have been given a chance. LBC started in QA county as an offshoot of Shore Kaos, which was a club derived from the current LBC "directors" and their friends and current coaches. They all got into a fight about money and LBC was born, at the end of the summer and some kids were left with no club. Watch the indoor videos on the Edge Arena for HS games and see the abhorrent actions of the "directors" wife. fights with refs. And LBC has been banned from tournaments for cheating.

LBC has not been banned from tournaments for cheating that is a complete lie. LBC was born because a group of girls wanted a competitive lacrosse club on the Eastern Shore. It has nothing to do with money. The director fired a coach and he started a team to play for the summer. The person you call "abhorrent" spends endless hours of time helping girls on the Eastern Shore have a place to play lacrosse. She is not perfect but I doubt you saw any other coach from any club at every indoor game volunteering her own time with none of her own kids playing. Do you all have nothing better to do? Go play for a club where the director doesn't know your name, makes a living off of club lacrosse, and leave LBC alone. My daughter's teammates will continue to enjoy playing for a local club who care about the players, families and helping the community.

If you don't know the team your kid is playing for and you're paying for is banned from certain tournaments you're clueless

So I think all the talk about LBC is getting old. Instead of talking about their club in general let’s talk about how not having their goalie will effect their team play. When they didn’t have her at the NGLL weekend on Labor Day they got beat handily by most teams. Can they recover? Will M&D get their act together this spring? Can Heros White keep beating top teams? Let’s talk about this upcoming season.
