You were better off not being picked. Driving to Virginia to watch the Jesters Coach who was in over his head coach and play his players was painful. While better players had to sit on the bench and watch as we lose to a Connecticut team we were better than.

What girls would have been better?????
Jester girls carried them as well as the girl from Legacy (best 23 on the island BTW)
THE YJ girls quit on him and everyone saw it, including the college coaches, sad but not surprising!

Jesters/Legacy girls carried them to a loss against Connecticut. Best on the island? Lol when you play cream puffs at the T3 everyone looks like a superstar. Don't let it get to your head crazy Legacy mom.

to all the newbies...during years when TG coaches have a lot of say who gets on the same garbage happens. seen it with two older girls. dont even bother. my daughter outscored everyone during local tryouts and made the uncommitted team each year. was happy with her recruitment. but yes.. if youhave been around the block you know it was totally predetermined and BTW college coaches know it too.

I'm not the original poster nor a mom, nor is the girl mine - the Legacy girl is the best on Long Island in 2023. Offense or defense, she is the best. Sorry if it doesn't fit into your world view but that is my opinion, which is not illegal, yet.

So you are not the Legacy mom just a lax mom who stalks players got it. There are a lot of great midfielders in this age group let’s leave it at that. Don’t worry legacy mom your daughter doesn’t have to be touted as the best midfielder to get recruited.

Can you at least use some punctuation so your ramblings make some sort of sense . If you think college coaches have any clue about LI UA tryouts and how political they are you are sadly mistaken .Your daughter “outscored everyone “ could be the saddest commentary yet but it makes me think your entire post was just some lost with nothing better to do than stir the pot . While I agree the tryouts have always been political don’t kid yourself making the UA teams still helps the players resume and catches the college coaches attention.

Not sure about the New York issues but you def didn’t have more talent than Conny !

Who makes up this nonsense. I think I know the girl your talking about. She’s a good player but a tier below the better YJ and TG girls. Not sure how you could make an argument that she is best. Was she on the UA all tournament team? What has she done? All-County? All-Leauge? Freshman of the Year? Please tell!

making the team can catch a coaches attention. but when they pass on girls who made it after they independently evaluate, they know the process was BS. don't get me wrong lots of strong players on UA roster, but a good percentage are political spots and the HS coaches know it. that is why it really doesn't matter. you are so better off going to the school's camp and getting in front of the coach that you are most interested in. that is what works.

Best player on Leg 23 perhaps but not in top 8 midfielders on the Island. Athletic- but relies on natural ability not developed skill. NEVER goes lefty. Will shoot backwards, underhand, or go away from any open lane that relies on left hand. Might have some skills in drills but never used in a real game. Defense-forget it. Lost all the time. Can play one on one until a shift, then lost again. And why is Mom proclaiming this nonsense on YJ thread?
