Yes was cold and overcast yesterday in fall classic NJ but tolerable. They ran 3 fields only all day close together and got to see alot of great lacrosse. 5 divisions ( A,B,C,D,E) of 4 teams Per . There were 2 divisions that particularly stood out A in morning and C in afternoon and of those yielded 3 Teams that stood out above the rest LAXHAWKS ( Darien HS) CT, SMITHTOWN BLUE ( HS WEST ) LI , and MUSTANGS ( MOUNT SINAI HS) LI with BIG RED LC from Mass. a distant 4th and WARD MELVILLE LI a very distant 5th. POMFRET CT , BAYPORT BLUE POINT LI and SMITHTOWN RED ( HS EAST) LI played in much weaker Divisions and made it difficult to assess were they stand. All in all I had a terrific time. I am sure the BIG 16 was equally great to watch. Now I hope we have a season! Good luck to all the players.

Does anyone have any information on any fall leagues for Nassau? How was the event in Hicksville yesterday? Which event was that??? Big 16 Can't find anything on how the event went. Did the event get played? Our HS team didn't get the invite, not a shock since nobody plays for the organizer. Just interested to hear how if the competition was worthwhile and the kids are staying in shape.

NYSAAA@NYSAAA6 What if there was a travel team that taught character, accountability, ethics, and service? Who would pay for that? Answer...you already do, it’s your public HS sports team. #WeInvestInKids This is from NYSAAA twitter account. Someones feeling irrelevant.

Great event today at Cedar Creek Park ---Long Island Lax Showcase Fall Final----very organized ---mixed level of competition--fun--all kids played 3 games--games were live streamed ---my son loved it---played against some of his club teammates and some of his HS teammates---the coaches did a super job---plus the weather was perfect-last event for my kid for a while----let's hope we can figure this out and play a HS season in April.
