She is definitely a top middi on Long Island. One of her best qualities r defensive skills. Not everybody plays defense at high-level. Some of those attackers barely had a ride. 90% of that team never even thinks about picking their head up. Couple attackers OMG. PASS THE BALL

There are 6 "top middis" on LI. They are all interchangeable and have unique strengths and weaknesses. Question is, which one(s) will separate themselves from the pack?

Wow you really are a clown. And must not know anything about sports?? with did you do it your daughter do to enable you to talk like that. The girl who got the 2 yellows is the top middie on LI. has been and IS still! both cards were BS. second was a rocket in the upper corner from the outside.
The girls that made UA NR tournament team should be proud and they were deserved. Ohh wait is it because none came from the original Thorn team. 1 YJ B kid, 1 legacy, 2 Jesters and 2 igloo. Is that what you do; your daughter don’t make it and everyone knows who you are, and you take to the forum and criticize and belittle young girls?? you should be ashamed of yourself. Your daughter is a great player, stop ruining it for her.

Best middie in LI??? If that’s true , LI is in big trouble! Open your eyes! Nobody showed up on that UA team with consistency. That’s what great, “best” players do. What they don’t do is make excuses, like you are. Sports have short memory, and right now I’m pretty sure that teams performance is something they’re hoping people will forget quickly. Now go sign your daughter up for some of those private YJ lessons!

Yes, and the LI girls on the all tournament team had me scratching my head. They weren’t even stat leaders. Guess they tried to spread it around, like a participation trophy

All the kids that made it played well.

At this point I think the girls who did get picked should be more embarrassed than the ones who didn’t. What a pathetic showing and waste of time for all involved. Driving to and from VA must have been the icing on the cake!

maybe they should just reject the honor and can tell everyone they got cut and blame politics like you and your kid.

funny part all the jealous crazy parents go on here and BLAST these kids that made the team, and blast them even more if they got an honor, but the irony of it all is they will be the same kids who make every 'watch' list, All county and AA and go to the top programs in the country. Been happening forever. as Ricky Henderson said....'they only BOO the best".
I am the sure the results in Virginia were disappointing for all the girls, but it was probably also a great experience. They are all the midst of a very nice lacrosse journey that may lead them to college one day where they continue to play and have fun and make memories, all while the same parents whine and complain. Just enjoy the journey or at least let your daughters enjoy it without you ruining it for them. It will be over fast

Same parents complaining would sell an organ to have had their kids chosen, but come on here and tear down young girls instead.
If their kid would have been chosen, and the outcome be the same, they would be on here defending the whole experience fiercely.

Same old sad mom and dads who are butthurt their kid didn’t make it. Now you say you’re glad your kid didn’t make it. Which is good because your kids probably won’t make
It next year. Kudos to the girls who played and had the experience.

Kudos to the karma of getting picked for something they didn't deserve. Hopefully they lean from the train wreck. Maybe the lesson is that being picked due to politics is never a good thing and lacrosse is not for them!

Wow I feel sorry for your kid, but I’m sure that apple didn’t fall far. You are a train wreck of a parent.

When will YOU move on from this? I’ve got to think your daughter already has and if she hasn’t, then pat yourself on the back for adding more dysfunction to her life. Enough already.

If lacrosse “isn’t for them”, what’s your kids excuse? Should parents start telling you that maybe you should tell your kid that she’s never going to make a select team, and that she should just deal with it ? You’re going to throw your money down next year to try out. Just leave it be.

Yay, you’re getting the point! Many talented girls didn’t make the select team due to bias of the evaluators. What’s my evidence you ask? About half the girls picked did nothing to contribute to a win, in fact , they were liabilities on the field. Keep telling yourself that your daughter belonged there even though she did nothing. There were definitely a few that would clearly make the team no matter who was doing the evaluation, the bottom half had no business being there!

Hence, why we didn't go to the tryout. Some of the girls who made the team are great players and very deserving. Some, not so much. But if you think the UA team represents the top talent on LI then you're delusional. For us personally, we decided our money was better spent going to college camps at schools my daughter is actually interested in attending. That's the joke of all this. With the recruiting changes, the college camps make your club and your club directors connections a lot less important. Seriously, why do I care if Podunk School of Basketweaving is interested in my daughter and contacts our clubs director? We're interested in the schools my daughter would like to attend and that's really easy to go check out on our own, without the drama, without the politics and without being beholden to a club director.

Except all the campus are closed, there are no camps... A nice fresh highlight reel from the UA tournament might go a long way come next 9/1

Don't blame politics the Jesters selected the girls that had the best tournament and earned a place on the all tournament team. With 5 UA Jesters they will be a force this upcoming summer.
