Outclassed, nothing you can do about it, WB was just better. The 2 college bound players, are playing D3, no athletic scholarships. I dont want that to diminish their accomplishment, but lets put it in perspective, Whitman had good athletes and they should be proud of making the playoffs.

One of the Whitman players turned down D1 offers because she had her sights set on a prestigious school; really smart kid so I'm sure she got her money.

Can't figure out that East Islip/West Babylon matchup. I think that's a close one too. Does anyone beat Bay Shore?

One girl is going to Hamilton. The NESCAC could beat 60% of D1 schools. She must also be intelligent. In perspective, that's not bad.

East Islip is home, with "hometown" advantage. East Islip will win. Plus EI coach is their top gun coach and knows those West Bab girls and all their moves

There are many, many D3 schools that are excellent scholastic institutions.
NYU, MIT, Amherst, RPI, Vassar, Wellesley, Carnegie Mellon, etc.

I applaud her if that's the case. But money is an issue today for a lot of families. Sometimes a kid goes to the wrong school because that is where the most money is.

Huntington was completely out coached. Too much talent on Huntington to lose this game.

Why is Nassau rarely mentioned in this thread? Nassau has produced more state champions in the last 10 years than suffolk by a lot.

"neither could beat any of the teams left in A".

What are you smoking? The B's and C's best can definitely play with anyone in the A. Ask Ward Melville how they did against Sayville? The C schools faired better in league play against the B's. Bigger doesn't always mean better! You definitely need a reality check!!

The careful reader will notice that we covered one game, arguably the more interesting matchup, in each of the four divisions that saw play yesterdsy. Each day during the season, we picked games to feature that included a close match (one goal or overtime in most cases), a personal best, a rvialry match, a noteworthy achievement, or other conference/league based impacts. As for the write-ups, these are submitted by the coaches themselves.

Yes, there is. Those matches will be played for the most part next week after Memorial Day. BOTC will have the coverage.

While we call them the Long Island Championships, these Long Island finals are actually one of the four quarterfinals in the NYSPHSAA (State) Playoffs heading to the final four.
