It cost money to organize an event like this. It takes time and effort. But in the end, you get to play with and against other very talented kids- something the great HS players dont get to do very often. Just think of how expensive it is to play on a college team!!! $500 bucks will seem like a bargain.

Your at the wrong club. You pay a lot of money. The least your coach can do is be involved.

No..The team is picked. It is fantasy if you think you are making team without being a favorite of someone coaching or friend. . Not bad as many are good players, its just they were outplayed at tryouts by many.

Exactly. Don’t knock the coaches that ARE involved. Knock the ones that don’t get involved.

Calvert Hall vs. Deerfield Academy live on ESPN U Thursday at 8pm.

The Hawks 2023 team is the best team the Hawks program has produced. They rarely lose.

Several very good Hawks teams. Can claim they are the best club in Maryland. Tryouts are already scheduled for next year. A lot of kids coming to tryout.

Anyone else slightly concerned that King Crab hasn't posted the Crab Feast schedule yet? I hope they aren't doing a last second change to PA like the NAL did last week!

They have to split the tourney or just cut out NY/NJ teams altogether which they don't want to. I think you see dual locations.

Yes, he spends all of his time on money making enterprises (geographic expansion and tournaments). If enough NY teams cancel, he would be crazy not to try and move to PA.

Hogan is really going to have to work the brackets and the seeding this year to have Hawks 2022 make the championship at Naptown. They just don't have the horses and the new ones they keep bringing in are getting hurt.

Slante beat DCE. That would make Hawks the 3rd best team at most.

This could be a really good game. The pre - college freshmen and sophomores at Deerfield are taking on the super seniors at Calvert Hall College High School Academy.

Looks like LI teams are not going now along with others .

Top 3 22 Team in country? Very good. Players will have A LOT of coaches calling. Recruiting is the name of the game now. Good luck to your son on recruiting trail.

Are Hawks top 3 in Maryland now????? Not even top 10 in the country. Unless you believe their over hype social media and Facebook junkie dads. Without guest players above average team. Maybe even win Naptown this year. No New York teams playing.

A lot of chatter about recruiting activity from D1 coaches reaching out to HS and club coaches about 22 players. Academies very active. Seems the 22 class will be just fine.

Should be a great game between many First Year college aged Calvert Hall players against many first and second year college age Deerfield players.

This is what Top High school lacrosse looks like now .

These schools should play in their own bracket. Not HS teams.

QUESTION FOR THE GROUP:

On the UA rosters page I keep hitting REFRESH waiting for the names of those Spalding STUDS to appear but so far NONE of them are listed. Clearly something is amiss.

Is the problem with my computer or with the roster selection process?

They made the 22 spotlight teams. Not posted yet. I’m sure your kid will be on the roster?

UA tryouts are fixed. Lol

Did any of the St. John’s/hawks make it?

DCE Hawks game: One team plays only starters plus a couple, the other squad plays all getting all players film for recruiters. Not an excuse, reality. Watch the film. Slante has not played Hawks. Conclusion: All three are very good teams capable of beating each other on any given day. Which team is hot, injured, etc. all impact the result.

I like the TN format the best. Great players (not every top player was there (not asked or turned down the invite) plus real high school coaching. Hardly any sub-par players there. Cream rises to the top. How do you play against the best of the best? The least showcase behavior I've seen at this type of event. Easy for college coaches to evaluate. Like the old Five Star basketball camps. Who shines (makes the right play on and off ball) when the lights are on?

Yes TN format was great. But not all top players there. Just a bunch of coaches and there friends kid got invite over hyped on social media all to make their kids look good and maybe get a look by college coaches.

Look at the first 2022 commit in the class. Plays for Rock. Not even a top level team at the 2022 class. Bottom line if your kid can play coaches will fine them.

Or maybe the kids, coaches and teams are just better... hmmmmm?? Report back with rosters and ages. The prep schools and MIAA schools are simply better lacrosse teams. Not every good player plays for one but these teams are flat out good.

Um, he was in TN. Plays for Slante too. Top 22 kids on one team. Looks like every top kid was in TN- look at the rosters and number of states - looked pretty convincing to me.

Too funny - A bunch of college players still playing HS ball. Yea. Your right they should be better.

They made a special category just for the Spalding Studs . That is why you dont see it.

Come on..MIAA and Especially Deerfield with its PG's are loaded with players that should be in College. Not sure why you are making up excuses. MIAA and other Top lacrosse High Schools are loaded with them. It is just the way it is, Some colleges used to post Birthdays like Duke . It was Hilarious the age of the players at Duke, MD, Hopkins,UNC, UVA, etc. No big deal, Many better players are older, it is what it is.
