Pish posh; never too early to be talking lax!! I don’t have data but the amount of commute may not matter but the quality not destination may make a difference. But there have been some stacked teams that have done just Ok. AOF had a stacked team and TP and Hotchkiss have a ton of commits but they finished middle of the pack. A lot of schools who are PG dependent also do well because those PGs usually have a commitment in hand when they show up. Me personally, yes I would rather have a stacked team with high level commits.

When you move down divisions to D2 and D3 the amount of commits definitely help the team more

Never too early to be talking lax. Any teams looking good for the upcoming Varsity prep school D1, D2, D3?

Don’t have enough empirical evidence to support any of my projections but

D1: wick Salisbury still the tops.
Taft depending on the new coach
Loomis definitely in the conversation
Choate if they can reload their PGs
Deerfield is a dark horse
Westy, HKiss, NMH with new coaches.

High D2: don’t know who lost or gained what. Wilbraham? I like how Millbrook has challenged themselves with their schedule last year

Low D2. GFA always a perennial. GCDS is a rising star of a school. Can gunnery and Canterbury come back from down years.

D3: Williams always a perennial. Harvey will be good again this year.

Taft will be much more balanced this year. Insane amount of high caliber middie. , defense. Goalie. Missing #0 this year will
Hurt a bit. But the middies will compensate.

Gunnery got a new assistant coach and beefed up their roster. Hopefully should see some other schools stepping up as well.

Berkshire picked up one of the top attackmen in the 26 class - reclassing to 27. They also have an excellent senior midfielder coming in from NMH. Building…

Keep waiting for Berkshire to break into the mid tier. They float between the bottom of the mid tier and the top of the bottom tier

Whats's going on at TP? They always seem like they should be better on paper then they are.

Agreed. Always expecting more from them every year for a breakthrough season like choate or loonies last year and hotchkiss the year before. Defense was solid last year. Will it carry over to this year and will the offense keep pace? Maybe Kirks new box league will help? For now I have them at bottom of middle tier behind Hkiss and AOF but above Berkshire. Should be exciting to watch.

Too early to say. We don't really play each other much until spring. Would have been nice to play some other FOunders teams down in MD at NHSLS,

Watching some lax today and curious how Founders League hypothetically would stand up vd D1 , D2 and D3 conferences. Just playing around.

Are you serious? They would get smoked, easily.
Just because most of those. It’s are double holdbacks, doesn’t mean they can hang w a college program…
That’s a clown question bro

Sorry for asking. I figured Brunswick could hang with a mid D3 at least.

I think you’re wrong. A team of 19 year old high end d1 commits would smoke a mid level d3. Speed athleticism. Skill. Etc. Your gonna tell me some pole that played low level travel for 91 tristate is going to stop a lightening quick attackman headed to Notre Dame?

Loomis ain’t beating F&M…
If you’re specifically talking about the top tier (Brunswick, Taft), going against the lowest of tiers in DIIi, I’m unsure why you’d even care, you put those schools against top DIII, it ain’t happening.
I know you want to justify the money you spend on boarding but it’s a no for me dog.

you obviously have no idea what you are talking about, nor do you have any idea how good a starting player is on a team like brunswick. most d3 players are on age , its an apples to apples fight, of course the college kids may be stronger by a touch , the kids i know who play d 3 and contribute could never step on the field at Wick , maybe as an off ball guy

Are we talking about the “Founders League” or just Brunswick?
If you’re telling me the ‘wick can beat a lower level diii team, okay maybe. But, if we look at the league in totality, they would not be able to hang.
YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT.
Stay up north w your boarding school buddies and pound your chest together - clown show

I would assume Choate smoked them; after all, Founders League teams would beat DI and DIII schools, remember?
