Is it a stretch to imagine the qualifier cancelled because of the corona virus panic?

I don’t know about cancelled. But I’ll say this. I spend about 8 to 10 grand a year on this sport for my youngest son. Between team, hotels, training, and clinics. Going to Denver will make this year 14 to 15 grand. Now with this Corona thing, which seems to be legit, I don’t want to take a plane with my family across the country. Plus like millions of other people, Im losing boat loads of money with this market crash, the last thing I want to do is drop another wad of cash on a lax tournament.

Buy energy stocks. They're really cheap right now. Then remember, you heard it hear first on BOTC.

They should Cxl it. Not because of Corona but because it is a scam that preys on fools like the ones that have posted on this board. Maybe all the upset parents can pool their $7500 each and make a donation to the people/organizations that will need it most due to current events. Oh wait...you wouldnt get a fiddle stick by doing that....

Considering there is no evidence that kids are getting it, what's the logic of cancelling everything. PANIC!!!!!

Why cant the adults just keep their distance and let the kids play? Now all of us will be able to enjoy our kids bouncing off the walls waiting for sporting event that might not come.

Simple. They get to keep your money and not do any work for it. Whenever there is a scare, there are people who profit from it. Lax clubs are the best fear mongers in the world. "If you don't xyz your kid won't get recruited and play in college for a scholarship worth 10 cents on every dollar that you gave us."

Just heard Shamrock Shootout at Farmingdale college is cancelled. Figured it would be.

I hope parents who already bought their airfare can get refunds.

I dont get it...what is there to gain from 12/13 year old lacrosse practice? Have these fools seen whats going on or are they just that ignorant and selfish? Thats why this virus keeps spreading. Clinics available the entire week at the Turtle Dome when the kids are off.

Do those clinics come with a test and a hospital bed?

Great idea, send kids to clinics and invite grandma over for dinner. 50/50 if they have summer. WSYL will not happen this year, not that anyone cares.

Something for the boys to do. Stay ay sharp when school is closed. Come, we're open. If personalized field time needed, call, will accommodate.

Turtles vs COVID19~!, Who will will the battle in the Dome.

Athlete Zone, are they up and running. Looking to buy 18 sessions. It always feels hot and muggy, with the distinct odor of lacrosse gloves after a summer tournament. Just don't sit in the chairs.

The 2020 WSYL is officially postponed. Probably the best thing to happen to youth lacrosse.

The qualifiers are suspended. Not the WSYL. Time will tell what happens.

Now that the qualifiers are postponed (great news), I just don't see the WSYL happening this year. Most programs are already have their summer tournaments scheduled.

My son is friends with a kid on a local travel team (not express) and apparently they are still practicing 2x a week. Can that be true? How is that possible?

If tournments are cancelled will clubs give refunds thats the question ??

If they were stand up clubs maybe they would issue Partial refunds.. But Remember...they had winter trainings and Fall tourneys too so they are entitled to some $ and should keep a portion. But If you think your getting full refund you may as well book your flight to Denver now too. Force practiced, Rebells LC practiced and a few others.

I am pretty sure Empire isnt practicing. So thats part of Dynamic. So I assume all clubs , like 91, affiliated with Dynamic arent practicing.
