NLF in July in Amherst should have the bulk of the top teams. Not sure if that is an invite thing or anyone can join

NLF Opening weekend (June 5-6) in DE should be pretty heavy with teams also. Definitely NLF Nationals in MA (July 17-19).

opening weekend is ehh-- good teams but some only just started to play together and are still figuring out rosters. Like everything else, end of the season tells the most.

I think what he is saying is that it is the first real tournament of the summer season. Some teams don't even roster their teams or practice as a team until May. How you end the season is more of an indication of what type of team you are. That final tournament for most is the NLF Championship weekend. By then, most teams have played 4 to 6 tournaments and have gelled as team.

LXC, Tigers and Hawks all played fall tournaments, will have winter skill sessions and be practicing come Jan . MD teams will be playing in the Spring League. You guys pay 4k for summer ball thats a joke

I don't think there is one single NY team that only gets summer ball. Most if not all participate in fall tournaments as well as practice all winter, including positional clinics.
I do know for a fact that my son as well as several teammates play multiple sports including football and basketball, so as not to burn out.

All decent teams from LI have been playing since September and have played in 2 or 3 tourney's each. Get your facts straight before posting.

LI model is broken. other areas have similar coaching and offerings. the days of little long island larry being good at lax because his dad and uncle played D1 in 1988 are gone. it comes down to athleticism now that all are on relatively equal footing with regards to coaching. do not see this trend changing.

If you saw Tristar you know express and 91 are both top caliber national teams at 2026. Top 5 probably

Any teams at this age group playing box this year? Is there any good competition and is it worth the additional investment from a skills perspective?

The tigers play with older kids there were kids 6 feet tall on that team,, it doesnt make it wrong their schools have earlier dates yada yada yada,
we have heard it all. Bottom line, every year at world series we never see tigers we never see hawks we never see crabs, they need to play with kids that are older to compete that is really the bottom line.

Tigers coach carries the big kids birth certificate, rumor has it he is legit and they will be at the WS if the event still exists next summer. Take that one kid off the team and they fall way down the standings but good for him for him being a legit 2026 unlike some teams we discuss.

So by saying 91 played a tight game you mean they lost? That's what it sounds like . I was there and heard the parents saying in typical 91 fashion " did you see the size of that kid ". That's great that the kid on tigers was age appropriate. Good for them , 91 needs to learn how to still whining about kids sizes ,makes them look like sour grape parents and kids that don't know how to lose . Get a grip, perhaps the teams are just that much better than you . Cry babies .

No one will come close to the product that 91 and Express will put on the field. The other teams can certainly change up though.

Best in the business and they can charge higher rates because they teach the fundamentals. They win because there players are taught properly. Get what you pay for

Nope. Not that team. Take that one kid away and Tigers is an average team. This means that when the other kids catch up in size (which they will), Tigers team is in trouble. Also, didn’t hear a single 91 parent complaining about anything on this thread.

We moved and could not be happier. The only issue is missing old teammates because the kids are friends now. The adults in this sport are so ridiculous and it trickles into the coaching and it is a real shame for the kids. We would see so much more positives if clubs really focused on player development rather than playing to win. Stacking a team of kick butt 11 year olds is good to bring in the $$ For the club but when these kids get older and move on you have to ask yourselves what is it all for? I think taking a team and teaching them skills and commitment is much more valuable at 11 than if they made it to WSOL qualifiers.

There can be value in that. There can also be value in playing with very strong players from a skill development standpoint. To each his own. It seems as if you found something that works for your boy. That is great. Others have found something different that works for them.

would think the natural reaction to seeing a kid who is an outlier of some sort (size, speed, athleticism etc.), would be one of appreciation. it certainly is in other sports with deeper talent pools. here it seems it brings skepticism and excuses. it is a product of your sport growing. better athletes are playing. not just retreads of ex lacrosse players. be thankful the outliers are few and far between and your kids have an opportunity. hoops and football (with strict age groups) would make these "outliers" laughable. appreciate better athletes playing the game instead of trying to explain away why your kids are falling behind
