The Outlaws parted ways with Pat Brennan due to too many complaints and he now is working for his son at the Rebels.

Both of these statements are untrue. Just called the Rebels and Pat Brennan is working for them at this time.

That is what exactly what was written...Pat is no longer with the Outlaws and now working for his son at the Rebels. How is this untrue after you had just verified it? Smh

There is some mis-information here.
Pat has worked for his son with Blatant, helping run their events for some time now.
It is true that he is no longer with the Outlaws, and came to an agreement with his old partner to leave the Outlaws.

Why would Brennan leaving make it any different?

Didn't he leave Outlaws before the beginning of this season?

PB was there all year as he helped coach his son's 2020 team and that is it. The reason the outlaws ever had a bad reputation was because of him. This will help the Outlaws a lot and only hurt the "AA" rebels (lmao) and the Blatant events as evident from this years tournament with no balls at the end lines, score keeper for 2 fields, no netting behind goals and the list goes on.

Just ask the Rebels about all the stuff they promised that was never supplied or ask them about the Box uniforms that they did not hand out but decided to sell, or guest starts, over expanded rosters and bonus for coaches for championships. Ya, that sounds like a no headaches organization that like to communicate to parents and players.

Thanks Turtles Director MM.

PB was the reason they had 15 teams. They are falling apart rapidly. Could have to do with PB stepping down before this year.

Not sure how anyone could complain about all the gear the rebels received. Rebels will be fine, and if they did add PB that would be a great addition.

The Outlaws had a great program until they got greedy and started two teams per grade! The mistake that the Rebels made was rolling whole teams over from Outlaws and not forming all new teams! If you notice all the new clubs have one team per grade, they don't have a second money grab team! I give PB a lot of credit for building a once great club but to many side deals with coaches and commitments to parents that never came to pass! Even in today's world your word still means something to most people and he let a lot of people down that were committed to the club!

100% accurate. I wish the best for the new and better Outlaws. PB was a complete donk and ego maniac. Glad we got rid of him. Let's make Outlaws great again.

Yes, PB has been running the Blatant Events and is now working for the Rebels LC full time under his son since he is no longer with the Outlaws.

Don't look for Sullivan, he took a few of his best players and left the rest of the team in the dust just like PB!

Rebels only have 1 team per grade

According to their website, not anymore... they added another team at the 2025 and 2027 levels. So much for only 1 team per grade.

Absolutely full of lies. Now they are trying to do what they advertised last year was against their philosophy. They said last year when the put out their organisation that they were always going to be one team per grade. I dont think they are going to be able field 2 teams anyway after how their teams performed this year. But anyone who trusts what they say and signs up for them are just fools.

Pick your poison...Im sure they arent perfect but compared to the "name brands" I'd bet it is safe to say they are a lot better. But these dumb butt parents keep throwing their money at the directors and putting their kids in lousy situations. Congratulations!!!!!!!!

Club lacrosse is literally: "all about the Benjamins" and eventually it devolves into greed.

Making money on the dreams of kids and their parents.

Sad......I wonder if other sports are just as bad.

Where does it say they are ALWAYS going to put out 1 team per grade. Who would say always. Last year they said 1 team per grade and it was. This is business 101, who wouldn’t want to expand their business. In 10 years it could be 3 teams or out of state teams. Look at 91, look at express. They had to start somewhere. If their business is ran the right way and most people are happy, it has a chance.

That's absolutely what they said last year. That that was their philosophy and part of what made them different from other clubs. That they concentrate on 1 team per grade.
Better yet it still says it on their website in their description under about us.
" The Rebels are dedicated to bringing something new to the club scene, with a commitment to maintaining one elite level team per graduation year. "
They are not even thorough enough to check over their website for contradictions when they turn face on what they promised.

Common definition of commitment --> an agreement or pledge to do something in the future; something pledged

They cant continue to take strides when they made no strides last year. Other than one or two teams the rest crashed and burned out there. It was clear as day at any tournament they were in for anyone to see. And the facts are there for any parent to look up on tourney. All they are doing is giving the same BS words as last year. But hey if that's what your into and you want to pretend that your kid is on an elite team when your barely a B team if that, then go at it.

So they are adding a few 2nd teams. My guess is that these formed groups coming from another club. Why turn down the revenue. Businesses are allowed to change and react to market conditions. Team creation at some point has to be a zero sum gain. Meaning the new teams here are a loss there. Wherever there is? But there is going to be left trying to sell a really bad to parents.

Sounds like the ramblings of a bitter parent who's kid didnt make the team. You better pray they have a 3rd team so your son has somewhere to play and you can ruin him by acting like a lax mental patient on the sidelines. I think the team store is open if you wanna buy yourself a tee shirt. I'll pay for the name on the back of it: " Closet Fan" RED AND BLACK ALL DAY FOOL!!!

[/quote]

Yes and that's why the existing Outlaw management is far superior than the corrupt Rebels leadership.

And how they didnt live up to what they said while recruiting last year. People on this thread even spoke about how they didnt give the kids all the gear they promised. Again, if that's what you want to buy into, then go ahead. Best of luck.

I've seen the same thing in other sports as well. Here is the list of things you get for your thousands of dollars and you end up getting half. Too bad these travel teams whether or be lacrosse, football, soccer can't be held accountable and refund partial tuition for the things they don't deliver on.

All we can do is come together as a unit and state the honest facts. Parents can then decide for themselves if they want to have their child play on a sub-par club with shiny red helmets and socks, or play with a club like the Outlaws who do not rip off the parents or kids futures.

My son played for Rebels last year. You people are delusional when it comes to picking apart these organizations. What didn’t you get and when didn’t you get it by? One person stated they didn't get their Box Lacrosse uniforms on time. OK, box lacrosse for 3rd graders and you’re worried about your jerseys - just throw a pinny on and give it a run. That turned into them promising “thousands of dollars in equipment and only delivering half”. And now they’re being accused of ripping off “parents and kids futures”. If you’re looking for a first year lacrosse program to deliver on parents and kids futures, you’re part of the problem. So many kids show up to practice and they can’t even catch or throw, then the team gets blamed for being terrible. Travel clubs do not teach basic skills, it is expected that your little superstar be able to play at a travel level, before tryouts. Instead of wasting people’s time posting about these sub-par organizations that rip people off and steal parents and kids futures, go have a catch with your son, help him develop a passion for the game and confidence that he’ll succeed under any Coach, at any level. Stop waiting for that magic organization thats gonna deliver on all your lacrosse hopes and dreams - it ain’t happening. Too bad by the time you realize that, your stud will be on his 4th team by 7th grade.

I have to agree with the above , my child too played this year for Rebels and they did an amazing job. All gear that was promised was received, in fact they were even given gloves .you can’t expect to learn the basics at practice at this point! These kids have to put there own time in . Rebels did an amazing job and will continue to grow and improve as an organization. Enjoy the game and making memories with your kids not all have that opportunity.Go Rebels and good luck to all the kids and what ever team they play for this season!

Why does this particular thread even exist? If people are happy they will come back to the team, if they aren't they can leave. Simple. IMO Pat is a bum. He is arrogant and a terrible leader. That being said, his son who runs the club is a sharp guy. I would never have my son play again for a club where Pat is associated, that is why the Rebels aren't for me..Give Mike some time I would bet in time if they keep Pat out of the mix, this club has potential.

Too many people concerned with the rebels on here. Looks like they made some enemies. With that being said that’s how club lacrosse works. They will continue to be successful. They will struggle to pass 91/express/igloo/legacy but they will compete with them at most ages for years to come.

Sure, parents are part of the issue.

The real issue is that the clubs are taking players who can't throw or catch!!!! Club ball should be for good players to develop them further, not money ball!!!! But greed takes over these clubs and it hurts everyone. Totally unfair to developing players who are good but not AA material. These B teams have the full range of players from very good to kids who don't want to be there. Parents pony up $$$ and clubs are glad to take the money.

Dam it. First My wife had "Outlaws" [ChillLaxin] stamped on her right cheek, then "Rebels" [ChillLaxin] stamped on her left cheek...anyone know a good place to go to get these removed? Preferably with some pain involved...

I can vouch for what this person is saying. Not to mention no evaluations throughout the season. So many untruths. And they even had some coaches bail on them for some teams. You could tell other coaches on teams were frustrated with the organisation. It was exactly the opposite of what they kept saying they were going to be.

Pretty sure all coaches are back with the organization for year 2, except for the 1 age they decided to get rid of... my kid got multiple evaluation calls and you can always call their office they always answer!

No coaches bailed, don’t you have anything better to do than make up lies? If you have a problem call them!

It was a 1st year organization. What 1st year organization is going to have no mistakes, no bumps in the road. I’m sure corrections will be made, now that they have a year under their belt. Overall it was ran well. No organization is ran perfect.

Then you are quite misinformed. Coaches did bail on certain age groups. You clearly know only about your own. And evaluations are one call at the end of the season. So the only person lying about that is yourself.

Outlaw Mom, you need to move on and redirect that anger somewhere else. Evaluations were given all season, and if your stud didn’t get one, the Coaches would readily provide one if asked. Is this stuff really keeping you up at midnight? Time to reassess your priorities because your obsession with this thread is becoming manic. Rebels bad, you good. There, move on.....

This is not corporate america folks. Coaches are providing real-time evaluations at practice and games. Kids will see what they are doing wrong and, if astute, will self-correct. If not, then the coach will explain. If the kid chooses to ignore the coach then the kid will see the field less than the other kids on the team. Don't blame the coaches for your inability to communicate with your child about what's going on with the team. Instead of yelling at your kid in the car for not scoring a goal, why don't you just ask him how practice was. Here's a few questions to get you started. "Hey, you looked good out there today. What do you think you did well?" "Hey, you looked good out there but do you think there is anything you can improve upon?" "Did the coach tell you do something different?" Start with these and I am sure you can come up with a few more.

they did not supply all the training they promised.they only had 1 fogo training that was not VIP, 2 day mini camp, individual position training, and also had trains who never were seen,

Then you are quite misinformed. Coaches did bail on certain age groups. You clearly know only about your own. And evaluations are one call at the end of the season. So the only person lying about that is yourself.

If travel lacrosse wasn't feeding his family he wouldn't waste his time doing this. As long as enough people continue to hand over hard earned money, he will continue taking it and walk away laughing like the rest of the club owners.

I am not sure if this is a general statement or a response to the prior comment but, as you point out, Pat is like all other directors even though he is no longer a director of a program. This is not PAL which is all voluntary and parents participate for a number of reasons but hopefully to increase lacrosse's profile in their community. Travel lacrosse is a "for profit" business so all programs are started to make money. I am sure they intend to do good and most do. People complain that it's a money grab and they are not entirely wrong. That said, lacrosse is a great sport and it is not everyone's intention to play lacrosse in college. Many parents want their kid to play the sport all year and have fun. PAL doesn;'t offer lacrosse throughout the year so parents turn to travel lacrosse and it should not matter if the kid plays on a AA, A, B or developmental team so long as he is having fun. Athletics helps kids develop self-esteem so there is no reason to begrudge the program for charging you a price you are willing to pay so long as your kids is getting the most out of it. There are always horror stories with certain teams and some of the blame is on the directors but often it is the parents who have some unreasonable expectations. Don't blame the directors of the various programs for your shortcomings.

This is actually good stuff. So many travel clubs promise they are going to make your kid better lacrosse players and once they get your money they stick him on the sideline to let the favorites play. Good to see honesty being written and clubs being held accountable. Actually benefits parents so they don't waste 4-5 grand. Kids change sports all the time growing up so teaching is what parents are paying for. Unfortunately many of the travel coaches are too lazy to teach or simply don't know how to improve young athletes. Any adult who played a sport can throw 10 kids out on a lacrosse field and hope they play .500 ball throughout the year and call it a successful year. Good coaches make sure every kid ends the year better then they were when they started. Those are the coaches that every kid wants to go back to. If your coach/club takes the money and runs then call them out, maybe they will decide to actually take an interest in making players better ...... if they actually know how to do that.

I can speak for myself in knowing that Pat is not like all other Directors. I care and so do my close friends about the kids being coached. He is just an egotistical donk. Let's end this post and move on.

I can assure you that there are some people that think all travel lacrosse directors are "donks". You sound like a person that does care so why don't you share with us who you are and, if not a director, who your kids play for.

This and "fl$ Lawsuit" thread.. with??? Can't these threads exist within the established threads. It doesn't make sense that they're separate. What's next.. "Coach X's feeling was hurt when the team lost this weekend" thread?

My son played at the Outlaws on the "select" team for his age at the time. Any interaction I had with Pat left me wondering why I signed my son up to play at this club. His arrogant attitude was over the top. This man thought he was Gods gift to Lacrosse and parents needed to understand that he was Top Dog. I am not surprised this thread was started to vent about Pat, I am just shocked it took so long.

I would never have my son play for a club where Pat was involved again. We thought about going to the Rebels at 1 point but realized the apple couldn't fall far from the tree. From what I am told it is he same old story with different front cover. Good luck to any family that plays at the Rebels because everyone should have fun doing this, as for my family we had enough the first time.

If you want real information about Pat and Mike Brennan read this post. My kids have played for Brennan teams for at least 7 years. This includes playing for the Outlaws and Rebels. I have friends on many age group teams. The one thing you have to know about both of them is that they are honest when it comes to player evaluations. That may explain some of these negative posts. Seven years ago when my son went to the Outlaws I too thought it may be a big mistake based on the negative post on this forum. My kids do not come from a powerhouse high school and we rely 100 percent on Mike and Pat for player development and recruitment. For years we followed what they said and one son is now playing D1 at a top school and the other son is getting more looks and interest from colleges that I thought could never happen. They both have always given what they said they would give. Our teams always played in the best tournaments against the best teams and best for recruitment. Playing these top teams for years has developed all the kids at a faster pace. Do we get beat by a lot sometimes-- yes. We played the crabs. Lost. However the sidelines were filled with college coaches and they expressed interest in our players after that game. This happens often. Its not about the wins and loses. Its about development in the younger years and college exposure when the kids get older. They have done a great job with that and with the teams my kids have played for. They give a lot to charity and have food drives. They give helmets, gloves, bags, fall uniforms, different spring uniforms, around 8 tournaments , 50 practices, indoor practices, and a lot of clothes. The most important part of playing for the Brennans is the college exposure you will get when the kids get older and playing the best of the best during the younger years and your kid will get better. They have led my kids and many others to better places that they would not have been without them. The only thing you have to worry about with them is if your kid is not good they will tell you that and in my opinion that is not a bad thing. However many times when they tell the truth to a parent they get bashed here. My first son was not always a D1 prospect. He was a middle level kid. Brennan evaluated him as such. Did I come on here and bash the evaluator-- no. He told us what my son needed to do to get better. We followed the advice offered and he is now a success story, All the bad stuff you are reading here most likely comes from someone who does not know them well or has an ax to grind. I'm so glad that 7 years ago I ignored all the posts on this site. It worked out great for us.

I totally agree! My son played for PB for years on a ok team and took a lot of beatings but he played 8 to 10 tournes a year a made great strides and was aloud to play two positions. Decided to leave Outlaws last year and try something different and went to a new club. Had a great season and got screwed at the end!

The fact that hundreds of kids left the Outlaws and joined the Rebels shows that the PB and MB are actually liked by the paying customers. MB and PB also enjoyed an over 90 percent return of players when they were with the Outlaws. If they were such bad people, as some of these post suggest, then there is no explanation for all the families who knew MB very well that followed him to the Rebels from the Outlaws and all the kids who return to play on a Brennan run team year after year. These are facts that makes me believe the positive posts about them are correct. The facts do not show they are bad people. If they were, all those families who knew them and players who played for them for years would have not joined the Rebels. That is just common sense if you think about it.

Lets face it, outlaws were a sinking ship with a bad reputation. If they were so successful, there would’ve been no logical reason to start a new club using the same players. I don’t know where you are getting this 90% return rate stat from as your 2023 team became a shell of itself in just a few seasons. Forming the rebels was nothing more than a hail mary for MB/PB to continue running a club team.

I cannot disagree with you more. If it was a sinking ship how are there two current healthy organizations currently running in the outlaws and the rebels? Both had successful years. As for your question on why someone would leave and take the same players this happens all the time in business. Law firms, accounting firms, any type of business commonly have younger associates leave and start out on their own taking business with them. As for player return Most of the outlaws teams had over a 90% return rate. Some had 100% return rate. If you equal that out over all the teams the 2023 team would not cause the return rate to go under 90%. My sons teams had 100 percent return rate almost every year.

If you equal that out over all the teams the 2023 team would not cause the return rate to go under 90%. My sons teams had 100 percent return rate almost every year.

Rebels did not have a successful year. That's laughable.

Did I come on here and bash the evaluator-- no. He told us what my son needed to do to get better. We followed the advice offered and he is now a success story, All the bad stuff you are reading here most likely comes from someone who does not know them well or has an ax to grind. Great, maybe your son can get recruited to Dowling or another bankrupt school. I prefer to stay with winners. PB will only lead you down a dark hallway.

You definitely have a good point.

All the positive, negative postings about PB are all opinions, so what does it all amount to; NOTHING!

None of the Outlaw management are defending PB. He's created a lot of enemies.

Positive arguments make sense and supported by logic. Negative comments are not supported by any facts and make no sense. I’m convinced by one of the many positive arguments and positive facts that many kids left the Outlaws to go to the Rebels. If Mike B and Pat B were bad guys no one would have followed them to the Rebels. But most Outlaws went or tried to go to the Rebels. Hard to believe they are bad guys when many kids are following them to a new club.

What a nonsense comment. Plenty of people on here spoke about negative experience at Rebels last year. What facts are you talking about. It's a blog. It's only what people write. Your making no sense. You could just as easily be a person writing all of the positive posts on here, just to try to save your friends image (or your own).
But if not feel free to go to Rebels. But be prepared to lose at least a year of lacrosse for your kid.

My kid is a 2020 and I read this thread for entertainment purposes since our boy never played for Outlaws. Being now at the end of the club scene and seeing my son committed to a good school I would respectfully recommend you not waste time with negative nonsense. We rolled around in similar club drama over the years and looking back I regret it. It did nothing for my son. If you don't like a club move on. Other families may make different choices and that is fine. Don't forget club lacrosse is, first and foremost, a business and these guys approach it that way. Yeah, they care about your kids, but they care about their own business much, much more. Never get that confused. Keep in mind that coming on here and bashing a club coach doesn't help your kid get better. It is wasted energy. Find a supplemental coach for extra 1:1 or small group work. Oh, and push academics for your son, get a top quality SAT/ACT tutor when the time comes and take the test early and often. The stronger your son is in that department the more choices he will have and the smoother the recruiting will go....

This is great advise and should end this discussion at this point. I myself and others strongly recommend the Rebels others may not. Time to move on.

I definitely agree. Everyone I know would stay away from the Rebels based on the continuance of unscrupulous tactics and PB is still around. Let's end this post.

Here we go again. Another baseless statement. Again, If he was so bad why did so many leave the Outlaws to go to the Rebels? You keep avoiding this fact and keep saying negative things about PB with out any supporting facts. The only fact everyone knows is that most of the Outlaws left and went to the Rebels. Why? You can't win this argument with the Outlaws unable to retain so many players. You are not rational at all. This means what you are saying is personal and not based on truth. Did PB tell you the truth about your son during an evaluation? Did your son not make the Rebels? We have heard nothing in fact to make us believe PB is a bad guy. Like many have said, he can't be that bad if all the kids and families that knew him well left the Outlaws to go to the Rebels. So keep going with your baseless allegations with no supporting facts. Without logic and facts in your statements you are not worthy of belief.

This guy is the only guy on the board with any sense whatsoever. Less worry about what specific team your son plays for, and more worry about your son's actualy ability both athletically and ACADEMICALLY!. Nobody is going getting rich off Lax (except these demi-god club teams that you blowhards pump up).

That's enough.
I cant believe that these can be adults with kids or who coach kids that are acting this way. But you should be ashamed of yourselves both sides for carrying on this way.
I'm sure there is hard feelings between both clubs. And since there was obviously a long term involvement with Outlaws, there were probably very hard feelings when they broke away forming Rebels. Outlaws probably has a pretty legitimate gripe if they were soliciting players from Outlaw teams probably well before they fully broke away. And it may actually be a violation of contract. But that's for each party to hash out behind closed doors or with legal counsel.
And I'm sure there has been bad experiences for some Outlaw parents over the years or upset feelings at this break off, plus parents unhappy with promises made by Rebels after they changed teams that were not followed through on. And these may be legit.
But name calling and trashing someone's family members is in no way an appropriate way to handle it.
Outlaws will handle their legal stance. Parents should concentrate on their kids and finding the best team for them.
And try to set the example for your kids. Because the way both sides have acted here on this blog is unacceptable and shameful. Grow up.

But this is nothing. Legacy and Igloo got it much worse than this when they started up. Not all new teams go through this. Only the ones that are a threat to getting a large market share. Say what you want about the Rebels but I do not remember any team that started so strong in terms of player numbers or numbers of teams in the first year. Igloo had two teams for years before they expanded. Only then did they get bashed here. Legacy took a couple of years to get going. But when they did they too got similar posts as the Rebels. Icon started from a team called Turf Island and when they left they could not get nearly as many players to leave Turf island as the Rebels were able to do doing the same thing and those running icon are top guys with the best reputation out there. But even those guys could not do what the Rebels did in the first year. Face it that the Rebels are here to stay and will grow every year and saying unverified statements is not stopping it. If fact it probably helps them as free publicity. The bashing should never happen and should stop but it won’t. It never does for any larger lacrosse organization with a large market share which the Rebels are now part of.

Yes, you are correct that the Rebels called all of the Outlaw players and promised a lot to move over. It's the way they do business. The apple does not fall far from the tree. The best kids don't play for Rebels and we all know that. They'll keep calling and trying to steal kids, but the best won't go there because they are well informed.

I wouldn't trust the owners of the Outlaws or the Rebels. Both owners may want you to think they are splitting, but behind the curtains something is cooking between both of them.

At the end of the day, the club you play for has a marginal impact whether or not you will play in college. If your son is a stud then the coaches will seek him out. If he is a better than average player then you want the program to play in top tier tournaments. Outlaws / Rebels go to some really good tournaments such as Crabfeast, Naptown, NXT, etc. so, if he plays well, he will get noticed. Directors have very little to do with your son getting recruited. They can call a coach and speak on your sons behalf but your kid still has to show up and perform. Again, unless your kid is a stud, coaches will need to see him play 3-5 times before they make a decision one way or another. Good luck to all the kids who want to play in college or just want to have fun.

They'll keep calling and trying to steal kids, but the best won't go there because they are well informed

So you think the best players stayed with the outlaws. Your opinion is noted. It keeps getting more entertaining. What else do you have to say?

So predictable. We are so happy to hear your opinions. Keep going. What other important information do you have that we all need to know about? I bet you are the guy when you see PB that runs up to him and shakes his hand and he has no clue you hate him and because of that aversion, you post your bias comments on this thread. Keep going, everyone is seeing that what you say means nothing because you don’t like him for whatever reason. This high level of resentment can only come from a parent whose kid did not make the team. Too much resentment to be anything else. So what’s next? Let me guess your kid would never play for a PB team and you tell him to his face all the time he is ... Yes, we all will believe that too because you have proven to be so credible and not bias.

I agree Legacy and Igloo got bashed, but for good reason. They got away from their original mission statements. Some promise only one team per grade, some promise the anti-travel experience, some claim new gear, etc. The unfortunate reality is they've all sold out and only care about lining their pockets. I have no problem with that but at least admit it. Some of the B teams are absolutely terrible and the instruction is awful but the directors keep saying its about development. The gullible parents keep believing it's great that the kid is playing. Ultimately it has diluted the talent pool and hurts the sport until HS.

Rebels are killing it with recruiting this season. Where that leads? Who knows but you cant deny that they upgraded significantly in year 2 . Just find a club where your kid can play, there are minimal politics and the parents and kids are cool. The rest of it will take care of itself. As for the shiny red helmets: Add the Uniform # to them or some kind of a decal.......... And change the jerseys....for as cool as the helmets were the uniforms were not.

FLG and Igloo definitely have the most attractive sidelines and its not close unless you are into loud mouth sloppy has beens with back tattoos and finger prints all over them. keep your sloppy cut off jean shorts over there at rebels/outlaws. I prefer my ladies groomed and with a little class.

Getting rid of PB IS the reason the Outlaws only 5 teams. PB was the heart of the organization and once he left the foundation fell apart. All the proof lies in the mad exodus this past season. They can spin it all they want but the numbers speak the truth.

The poachers over at Rebels who make phone calls to any parent on LI promising the moon are pulling the kids. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, and Jr is no good himself.

About time the Outlaws and PB went away...let 'em fade into the black... Rebels will chart the same course as a mediocre program with complaining parents until it disappears within five years. Bank on it.

Where does it say they only have 5 teams? Would be a shame if so. Previously with Outlaws but saw writing on the wall. People have many opinions on PB but he definitely was the relationship builder and likely the reason many people stayed over the years. His loss meant the business guy took over in full... with no relationship skills to go along with the business mindset. Good guy...but a reason why a lot of folks left.

I took my son to the Rebels tryout. Not as impressive as 91, but not as bad as others. Got a personal phone call, not a number on a website or email. Was offered a spot on the team, but was told that playtime would be limited, 2nd Fogo, but was offered a spot at a reduced rate. We decided to play somewhere else where he would get more reps. This is my only interaction with the club out side of playing against the Outlaws in the past and the Rebels last year. I don't under stand the detest. Sure the parents were a little loud, not as bad as 24 east though, but no horrible..

Rebels was a good tryout Organized , prompt, structured. They look like they have potential. Their downfall may be retaining too many kids from last years team out of loyalty but I did hear they took a lot of ex- Igloo kids and a Express kid. But the way Igloo looked last year... does that really help? Its all on the coaching

Assuming you did not show up to tryouts, they were very well ran, and their staff to player ratio was tremendous for the amount of players they had.

Average players. Pretty rich coming from an average dad like yourself. There are plenty of exceptional kids that play in the program and nobody needs a donkey breath guy like you saying otherwise. This thread was not about the Outlaws or the Rebels and has kind of run its course other than the fact overweight "never was" guys like you having nothing better to do than to come on here and denigrate young kids.

Avg kids, below avg kids, etc. STOP Its all coaching. Is their coach any good or is he a pretentious, self serving has been? Does he have a son on the team? Does he alienate kids and stink up to others? Can he make adjustments during a game? Is he honest? Does he switch up practice regime? Do the kids WANT to play for him? Those are the real questions. If yes, then look out. If no, then don't expect much. Thats true for all teams.

Then this Rebels club will be the same as the Outlaws program was.

Perfect analysis of the "average" BOTC daddy.

What is wrong about being average? You can't have "plenty of exceptional" anything. It is counter to the the meaning of the word!

Until high school starts, just make sure your son likes the game, wants to work hard and is improving. When HS starts, its up to the player to make the grade and excel.

THEY WILL BE A SOLID B TEAM LIKE EVERY OTHER YEAR! THEY NEVER CHANGE THE ROSTER AND KEEP THE SAME KIDS OVER AND OVER! IN ONE SENSE ITS GOOD BECAUSE THE KIDS KNOW EACH OTHER BUT THEY WILL NEVER BE AN AA TEAM!

i firmly believe that Outlaws is more concerned with earning $$ from tryouts than they are focused on building a team w quality players. i must get 11 emails a week from them re tryouts and players needed, etc.

I think you're mistaken because Rebels hires a telemarketing crew to call before tryouts.

Rebels choked at evel level this weekend. They couldn't rig their schedules because they couldn't keep up. They should start a "C" tournament and enter there.

Anyone get the news? The blatant organization has stepped up to the plate to donate hundreds of masks to first responders and healthcare workers! I have to tip my hat to these guys.
Just kidding. You can purchase a mask for the low price if $15 on their website. In a time of crisis, you see the best in people and the worst in people. True colors really shining! Stay classy blatant...

This is Mike Brennan.
To set the record straight before this gets out of control, here are the facts.

We have re-purposed our production facilities, and are working on increasing our production capacity to produce as many face masks, and protective gear as needed. Surgical masks need to stay with those who need them. There has been requests by federal, state and local governments for anyone with the means to produce protective, to do so.

If you look around at the cost of cotton based face masks, the nicer and washable/reusable ones are expensive, and usually do not get sold in quantities of 1 because of logistical reasons. We have worked hard, and around the clock to make that happen, and purchases over over 48 masks available for less than $10 each. These are items that can be used for a long time, and are needed like an item of apparel.

We have been in contact with police departments, first responders, fire departments, and more throughout the country and have already committed to donating thousands of masks, and that number will continue to grow as we work with communities and areas in need. We are doing our part during all of this, and have taken on a monumental task, instead of simply doing nothing. Proper masks can simply not be made fast enough, and we are doing what we can and what is in our power to help.

We wish everyone the best, and to stay safe and healthy. If anyone needs any information, knows of any first line / first responder groups that are in dire need of face masks please email mike@blatantathletics.com or call 516-586-8162.

Are you donating masks without a charge to the health care workers and Seniors?

Great. Will you be able to get Northwell 1,000 masks this week? We need it in the ER. Can you deliver them or should we pick them up from you?

Of course they won't be donating any masks for the heroes of the front line corona virus, but they do have nice shiny red masks for $15 for sale on their lacrosse club website. Next they'll be stitching a rebel logo for $10, and then your kids number for another $10. You gotta love it.

Nope I am working full time and I will guarantee I make more money in one month than you do in a year Dope! Just stating the facts, a mediocre team that is put in AA tournament and getting beat up almost every game, sound like fun for the kids and the Outlaw parents!

Kids leave every program dope. Teams haven’t played tournaments since October. Rebel teams won a lot of their games in the fall. So it seems like you have a 7 or 8 month grudge to be talking about this now. Now go quarantine somewhere. I know it’s a boring time right now, but find something to do instead of typing untrue stories on a lax site.
