Good article on the new Transfer Rules & 'Transfer Portal' for D1 Men's Lacrosse: Check out the Transfer Portal Blog Here It's great that the players will have the freedom to transfer with essentially coaches recruiting them.

# 8 Denver downs regional foe Air Force with a consistently excellent showing across the board - Geis dropped a hat trick & Rutan had 2goals & 2 assists for the Pioneers. AF Goalie Host finished w/ 17 Saves.
Utah 13 Mercer 9
With the Utah Utes in their first ever year as a D1 program, their 13-9 win over Mercer makes history with their 1st W in the programs history.
Loyola 17 Virginia 6
#4 Loyola defeated #6 Virginia with 17-9 dominating performance lead by Pat Spencer.
Rutgers 19 St John's 15
#12 Rutgers scored 4 quick goals at the end of the 4 quarter to prevent an upset by a strong Red Storm squad.
Army 12 UMass 11
Struggling all game with just 3 FO's won, the Knights win the 1st face off in OT & Brendan Nichtern scored the game winner after a timeout to defeat the Minutemen.
Towson 17 Hopkins 8
Towson led by Brendan with 6 Goals pulls off a big opening game with a 17-8 victory over Johns Hopkins.
Maryland 10 Richmond 9
Maryland withstands late push by the Spiders with a 10-9 win. Austin Henningsen went perfect at the face off x (15-15) & Jared Bernhardt had 5 goals for the Terps. Ryan Lanchbury's 5g's for the Spiders wasn't enough.
UNC 14 Furman 10
#13 ranked Tar Heels had 5 different players notch 2 goals or more in win over the Paladins. Birch had 5 points for the Paladins and the offense couldn't capitalize on late extra man opp's to close the 4 goal lead.
Salisbury 11 Lynchburg 9
Salisbury's Cory Gwin & Cross Ferrara both finished with hat tricks to narrowly escape a victory over Lynchburg who went on a 5-goal run in the final quarter with the help of Rogers who finished w/ 4 goals & 2 assists. Salisbury returns to action on Saturday, February 16 when it travels to Widener University
Michigan 10 Cleveland State 8
Wolverines opened their 8th season with a close win over the Vikings. Bucky contributed to 5 of the 10 G's,
Colgate 12 Syracuse 9
The Raiders Rock #10 Syracuse 12-9. Their 1st Win at the Carrier Dome since 2007.

Hofstra scored three unanswered goals to upset #13 Lehigh 4-3 in a non-league game.
Lafayette 14 NJIT 10
First year D1 Head Coach Patrick Myers gets his 1st win with his Leopards outscoring the Highlanders who were led by seniors Aaron Forster and Ryan Darrow who each tallied four points in 14-10 home opener.
Marquette 15 Bellarmine 9
The #19 ranked Golden Eagles had 11 different scorers in 15-9 w over the now 0-2 Knights.
Georgetown 13 Sacred Heart 10
The #18 ranked Hoyas surge past the Pioneers 13-10. Joe Saggese's career high (7 points) weren't enough to beat last years Big East Champion.
Penn State 27 Robert Morris 10
#9 Penn State set program record (27 goals) and had 15 different goal scorers and 17 total in the box score in thrashing over Robert Morris.
