Nor does administration have any tolerance for these issues. In today's college environment, players on Lacrosse teams are under a microscope. One's behavior is more highly scrutinized. The whole "privilege" thing is an easy and desirable target for University Administration. Keep in mind that most Lacrosse players were given entry to a school they might not have gotten into if it were not for lacrosse. The ideologues in these institutions see this as admissions spots being taken away from under represented groups and given to people of privilege. This is the mentality you are dealing with at these schools, tell your son's to be very careful. Additionally, your son will also be held accountable for things he might have done off campus as well. Because of his impact on the greater community. Now if the greater community has an impact on your son, well that's too bad. University does nothing to help you. You know, like being the victim of crime. The things we did in college that were considered pranks or just silliness are now grounds for suspension or expulsion. Dismissal from the Lacrosse team should be the least of your worries. By the way, your son doesn't need to guilty of anything. The severity of the accusation, followed by the "preponderance of the evidence" is enough to bring the hammer down. Which means, if we think you may have done something, your done. Regardless of what you actually did or didn't do.

Hofstra looked terrible against Lehigh. Coach going nuts on his staff. Players had no hustle. What gives? Time for a change?

Why are you surprised? Hofstra craps the bed about this same time every year.

Why is that shocking ? Didn't he have 7 assists the other day ? Maybe the TEAM is just not that good.

I’m not a big Hofstra fan, but Coaches son is one of the best kids on that team. They had a bad day....it happens

His son deserves to play and Coach T's main objective is to win so the idea of favoritism from the speculations of others is crazy. Towson lost to 5 top 20 ranked teams with 2 in the Top 5 so their record doesn't justify their talent...They have some guys that can play but Hofstra did have a bad day vs an in conference opponent.

Hofstra coaches son played on team 91, and Towson had Outlaws son. That's why Hofstra had the better day.

Bucknell got snubbed from the Tournament. They need to get rid of some of the AQ's or have a better selection system

I wouldnt say eliminate the AQ, the AQ is the best thing to happen to maybe add 3 more spots and see what happens. Have 4 play in games, and make those the at-large bids and let them play against 5/6/7/8 teams.

and who cares about "regionality" finals are over.

Yes Bucknell got snubbed but so did Cornell, always love to see 'Cuse in but in hoops and now lax they got lucky

Interesting day. Was hoping Albany could do it, but they were outmatched at every position. Not a fan of Duke or MD, but am glad Duke won. MD needs a slice of humble pie. All their smack talking came back and smacked them in the face. Duke came to play, and MD did not.

Anyone at the Yale/ND scrimmage today? Was wondering if TD did any better after the beatdown he took last weekend. Seems like the grass may not be greener for him!

Worst part is that they were buried by Long Island boys. Recruiting on the island needs to be better!

What happened to Hopkins was that Loyola is the best team in the Country. However I am curious about the early recruiting comment which would seemed to be aimed at the player who committed in 8th grade. Do you think he is part of the problem? Watching the game he looks ready to have a great four years and already has decent stats. He may be freshman of the year.

Early recruiting bac nothing to do w Hopkins. A lot more parity in the game plus Pat Spencer is a Beast.

Wasn’t talking about him, just the team in general. No fire, just mediocre. Yes, Loyola is hot but the game should have been closer, as the Towson game as well. Since you brought up “#1 recruit” didn’t see him doing much. He’s absent from stat leaders and not receiving any FOW accolades. Many top players from HS disappear in college. To early to tell, there is definitely a learning curve, so we’ll see. A lot of pressure on these kids, being under the microscope week after week can be tough!

Years ago there were only so many top players to go around. Skill level for most players was average at best in HS besides top players. Most only played in Spring and a little summer. If you were a top player you went to a top player college, Hop,VA, Cuse, etc...Today with the explosion of club along with lacrosse going well in several different states, there is a huge amount of players with skills. You can practice and play year round now. Many skilled players get overlooked , even in supposebly hotbed areas. There is just so many to choose from, hard to always pick the best.... And the stars in HS arent always the stars in college. And if you dont get the overlooked HS player and he turns out to be a star on another team, well you go the way some big name teams have gone in last two years..I think parity is here for 20-30 teams...no longer a select 5-10 teams.

Hopkins biggest problem is three fold I think.. They are on the small side for middies especially SSDM's, offense doesnt at this time seem to have a dodger that draws slides every time, heck the best dodger looks like Freshman Epstein at this time, Their 6-4 dodger looks awkward every time he dodges.. ..and too complicated a defense.
They are in for a rough year without a playoff spot in my opinion

Stop with Spencer! Yes he's great. But currently he's 8th in points, 19th in goals, and 7th in assists. He's a media darling, but not a clear forefront for anything right now. Hopkins did not loose because of him, they lost because they're not good.

Might want to look at his highlights from game on LSN. Two dead on behind the back passes to players for scores. Another D pole fell over his own feet due to a stutter step dodge, A couple of shots from outside that were wow shots, and his usual array of dodges that he makes look effortless. He is one of top attackman this year.

The dive rule needs to go. It will be unfortunately at the expense of a goalie ending his season with an injury.

Can you explain why? Honest question, why do you think possession is not as important now because of shot clock?

Just my opinion... Teams are now forced to take a shot therefore It is much tougher to stall. Every team will have more possessions and more opportunities to get back in a game if they are behind. FOGO still important just not as much as it was. look at the Penn State vs Yale game, Yale won 25 of 31 FO's and was up 13 - 8 in the Q 4... final score 14 - 13 Yale.
