Any girls making moves this year or do you think it's all set?

I think girls stay put. Unless there is a major issue, it's too risky for most to jump ship in the last 12 months before recruiting opens up.

Risky. Last summer/fall was the time to move. Unless of course you are physically moving or there is MAJOR issue.

All kinds of movement at the top in Baltimore. TLC top player moving to M&D, Skywalker open tryouts and open recruiting for new players, other programs also recruiting players.

I understand movement, not active cherrypicking of players not unhappy with their current team. Why not just develop your own players?

Because they dont have the innate talent. Either you've got it or you dont. Win at all costs is the team mentality

Girls are choosing to move on their own. There is no recruiting taking place. As I understand it, M&D held 2021 tryouts by invitation only and SW always holds tryouts for their rising 10th grade teams. This is the last chance girls have to move before all of these teams lock for the remainder of High School.

TLC lost players but the remaining players will get significantly more playing time when it matters most. They will not be top tier but they are well coached and will be competitive. The grass is always greener...

Which team for the TLC top player?

We had a girl leave and go to another, more winning, team. I say let them have them. The parents, all they did was grouse about the lack of wins. And openly mock coaching decisions. Meanwhile this girl will ride pine.
Meanwhile our strong girls are already "being seen" by the right coaches for their level.
People on here will talk about how if you are good enough, you will get the exposure you deserve. So true!

I can tell you why some girls have moved from "Club ABC".
Its obvious that our team is lacking skill in "the draw".
We lose games because we can never get the ball at the draw, for example.
This skill/training is never offered to our team/middies at any practice except the initial fall practice and the initial spring practice.
Just as if its good enough to appease everyone, and then it falls off because the club directors head is no longer in the game because his kids have grown and flown the program.
This is how clubs fail. And also let your teams head spin while the other clubs have some kind of winter program or league.

Are you implying that M&D/SW lack talent? Have those teams lost 10 games between them in the last 3 years? Girls chose to investigate other opportunities. In this case the strong likely get stronger. TLC will still be a competitive, well-coached team with more playing opportunities for the girls on the team.

Only 10 games in three years? Combined they were 1-5 against YJ just this past summer season alone. Have they not played each other for losses as well? Etc.... Both great teams, and yes loaded with talent, among the very top teams in the nation, but you must be on the outside looking in.

I completely disagree. Yes there is risk, but it depends. Our daughter switched from 1 club in her 9th grade year (looks from a few D2/D3 programs) to another program in 10th grade and had 11 D1 offers in the fall.

It really comes down to coaching, club philosophy, and most important team chemistry. Mind you, this was a “B” team to “B” team move, but “A” teams are just the same.

I obviously don't know you or your daughter, but more looks as a 10th grader could have just been that she was a year older - schools filled their classes of 12th and then 11th graders, and moved onto 10th. Or, based on your statement that she was on a B team, maybe the schools were turned down by their A team targets and moved on. I wouldn't necessarily put it all on a club change - sounds like a normal progression.

if you play on a B team many directors will push their A players ahead of you.

DON'T count on club doing anything for you - do all your own research, find the schools you're interested in and go to all there clinics/camps - for better or worse you will be seen and evaluated by them in real time. Lacrosse Masters has some very good clinics you can attend, especially the micro clinics

Does anyone have an idea what SAT scores are generally required for girls lax recruits in the Ivy League?

Can a pretty good player, but not an all star, make it onto a team by posting a high enough SAT/GPA? I'm wondering if there is a spot or two for players who bring up the team average.

Seriously - 1300 what school district do you live in? Not even close - to truly get into those schools on Academics you need well above 1500. If you are trying to get in by showing your academics are strong in a school like that for a "pretty good player" I think you need at least 1450 and a high GPA along with a bunch of AP classes.

Depends on the definition of pretty good player and which Ivy. 1300 will get you into Columbia or Brown if they want you and you have a high GPA.

Seriously why the attitude. If you have been recruited by an Ivy league school in general a 1300 will do ,even at Harvard and Princeton but class rank also factors in.

My daughter was recruited by an Ivy, and was told she needed a 1250-1300 by the head coach

That sounds like the answer. I'd guess that your daughter is probably a very strong player who had plenty of other options. I'm wondering if every other recruit at the same school had such a relatively low hurdle (for Ivies anyway -- average scores at those schools are from 1480 to 1540).

For the Ivy's it depends on the individual school. Most are more interested in the students ACT score. High GPA, and class rank.

It depends on the Ivy. If you are trying to get your daughter recruited by HYPP and she’s not a top player she would need about a 1500 and outstanding if not perfect GPA. Remember there are legacies who are actively and financially involved in these schools who have children who might not be superstar lax players but will be considered if academics really strong.

Most likely because 28 kids tried out and they didn’t have enough to make a C team so they just kept them all on a B team. That will be a mess this summer. I can’t imagine they would turn down one kid and give up the $$$$$. Not a chance!

Was there a roster overhaul on Heros Green this fall? They've struggled to win games against teams that normally they would beat handily.

Not rocket science. Other teams caught up to them just like everyone said they would 2-3 years ago. It's not that they got worse, but other clubs improved.

IWLCA Question

My daughter's team is playing this weekend in IWLCA. I am looking at her bracket and the rest of the brackets. I see several with two or more of the teams I consider elite in them and I see many that are comprised of teams that I have never heard of. Unfortunately, my daughter's bracket falls into the latter category. Will there be coaches at all of the games or will the coaches only watch the YJ, Monster, Liberty, Steps, Heroes, Capital, M&D, TLC, Skywalkers... games? I am sure the event will be fun and worth wile regardless but I am hoping that my daughter and her team will be seen. Thank you.

Thank you.

All teams will get looks. There are very good individual players even on some of the lesser competitive teams and the coaches know this. There will also be many coaches from less competitive college programs who would be not spending their time wisely if they only look at the top players from the powerhouse teams. Reality is, just as the students are often over shooting for interest of top programs, there are also programs over shooting for interest from top players. There will be plenty of players and coaches, with opportunities for all.

Coaches will not randomly show-up. Send the top ten on your daughter’s list e-mails, send video, that will increase the chances they come watch. Be realistic, find the right mix of academics and level of lacrosse.

Last two posts are great advice. Send an email to schools you and your daughter are interested in and they will comes see her at some point. The process is not hard. If your daughter plays hard and works her tail off, she will get noticed. Maybe not this weekend but the next or the one after that. All the coaches are not going to mnd vs sw every game. Just my two cents.

Here is a quick list of other considerations to put that school list together, there are others online...

When determining the college or university you may wish to attend, the following questions are helpful:

Do they have a women's lacrosse program and what level of play (Division I, II, III)?

What course subjects or degree do I wish to obtain?

What is the academic selectivity of these schools compared with academic performance?

How large is the college or universities student body?

What is the geographic local of the college or university?
(small town, urban city or suburb)

Do I wish to stay close to home or am I open to other states/regions?
(consider distance and method of travel)

What type of school in terms of size of enrollment?

What is my financial situation? Do I need a scholarship (athletic/academic, financial aid)?

Would I stay at this school if I no longer played lacrosse?

This is true and good advice however be advised that most coaches stick to the ESPN WWW and do not go over to the games at LM Sports park.

All the 2021's play at LM on Saturday. I'm sure there will be plenty of coaches there that day. Not many D1 coaches watching 2020s these days.

You could not be more wrong. All the best matchups of the top teams are slated for Sat at the lake fields. Every single top school who are targeting the top 2021 prospects will be at that venue Saturday.

I watched M&D v YJ A 2021 team yesterday at LM and not very well attended at all. Our team only had a handful at our later game which was later in the day and similar to other teams at that time. We are a competitive club and have had 20-30 per game at other tournaments. So far this venue has been nothing but a$$$ grab by all. Between IWLCA and the pro-games, it’s just over-hyped.

Can you clarify this post? when you say "not well attended" and "only a handful at later game" and "20-30 at other tournaments" are you referring to college coaches?

Early games on sat had 20-30 coaches. But games after 5:00pm at LM had very few, some with only 1-2 coaches. Many coaches left LM in the afternoon and posted their attendance at espn for the US/pro games on social media. Obviously an important recruiting year for 2021 class, so disappointing with this missed opportunity

The coaches have other things going on the weekend of President's Cup. It really is a money grab. The coaches see plenty the 2 weeks prior.

I did see many, many games completely void of coaches on the sideline, some with a decent showing. But on the flip side, certain teams and certain match ups were highly attended by the coaches. Certain teams have rosters of many top prospects and when two teams like that play, the coaches from top programs were front and center. By far the best recruiting opportunity of all the tournaments, at least for my daughters team.

This is true but the timing mattered too. M&D and YJ are two of the teams with the top talent in the country. The game was at 4pm Saturday which thinned out the numbers. I wouldn't call it the best recruiting opportunity. There were far more coaches at the exact same game at Prime Time two weeks ago and more coaches at Mid-Atlantic last weekend as well.

So.....we got to see the 2033 turtles today.
The team that has kids that have been on a different team each year. The team that the dads say this team will compete with all the A teams.
They were in a b tourney today at fall brawl.
They pulled off a championship with tremendous struggle all day they even lost a game too.O don’t care how many practices you have it’s still a B team.
So turtle dads please stop putting this team with express a igloo and the bandits.
You have a good b team and be happy with that.
Sorry,Just tired of the bs.

I'm not sure if everyone is aware, but there is currently a NCAA proposal to change the recruiting calendar to allow contact starting 6/15 after 10th grade and visits and offers to begin 8/1. This would change the current date of 9/1 of junior year for all contact. This proposal has been recommended by the NCAA Student-Athlete Experience Committee for all sports but Football, Basketball, Baseball and Hockey. This proposal was approved for a final vote in April by the NCAA Council. This week the ACC has submitted a request to amend this proposal to keep the 9/1 date for lacrosse. This will now also be voted on in April. I'm not sure if most of you agree, but the current 9/1 date has several issues. First off, we are all forced to blindly spend money for our kids to attend camps, clinics, etc. While we can hear if a school has "general interest" some schools don't even offer that much. Allowing contact on 6/15 would make it possible to have real discussions with the coaches to gauge their actual level of interest, where the player is on their list and other useful information. It also provides an opportunity to being to create a relationship with the coaches that will be coaching your child for 4 years. As you all are aware, the 9/1 date does not remove the recruiting pressure on the kids. Coaches still watch the games years prior to that date. If anything the pressure is worse because the kids have no idea where they stand. Moving the visit date to 8/1 also allows the kids to more easily play fall sports. Most soccer, field hockey, football coaches aren't going to be too thrilled with kids missing Friday and weekend practices or even games because they need to go visit colleges for lacrosse. Coaches say they want multiple sport athletes yet pass rules that make it very difficult to play a fall sport junior year.

It has been expressed to me that it would be very beneficial for as many parents as possible to send letters/emails to the chair of the NCAA council prior to the April vote expressing concerns with the 9/1 date and support for the new proposal which is Proposal 2018-93. I am including the email below for the current and incoming Chairs. I hope we as a community can come together and try to make sure this positive change can pass.

Current Chair:
Blake James bjames@miami.edu
Incoming Chair:
Dr. M. Grace Calhoun athdir@pobox.upenn.edu

The college lacrosse coaches will not let the contact date be moved up because these coaches are now making too much money from their camps.
Coaches want recruiting pushed back because coaches make huge money from the extra two years of camps from the Sophomore and Junior players who now go.
Coaches did not push recruiting back because it "was in the best interest of the players" they pushed it back because "it was in the best interest of coaches' pocketbooks". Follow the money!
Coaches want you to believe it is an amazing coincidence that the extra two months of July and August that the coaches claim "are needed so the players can mature" just happen to be the exact two months when coaches run their camps. What an amazing coincidence!
Players do not magically mature in July & August. It is because July and August are when coaches run their money making camps.
Sorry players, the NCAA, just like US Lacrosse, will put the money before the players.
By the way...
-Proposal 2018-93 is for June 15th contact
-Proposal 2018-93-2 is for Sept 1st contact
Please email:
bjames@miami.edu
athdir@pobox.upenn.edu
and tell them to vote June 15th not Sept 1st

Regarding 2018-93, the $ greedy college coaches want to keep the lacrosse date 9/1 because 9/1 enables coaches to run another round of money making summer camps .
If the date was 6/15 coaches would commit the "true recruits" the coaches were truly interested in on 6/15 and then the 100's of mislead non-recruits would not go to the coaches' money making camps.
The coaches had a stronger argument when they moved recruiting back 3 YEARS. But now the extra 2 MONTHS coaches want are just for the coaches to make money on 2 months of camps.
Players do not miraculously mature in those last 2 months. It is those 2 months the coaches want to make more money from camps.
The lacrosse coaches want 9/1 instead of 6/15 because of $ greed.
As usual US Lacrosse has sold out to the money and the coaches instead of putting the kids first. Let's hope the NCAA puts the kids first this time.
The NCAA needs to stand up to the coaches and make the date 6/15 like the other sports.

June 15 / Summer is the perfect time to start communicating because school is out and the focus on academics is still months away.
In September, when school starts the focus should be on academics/ACT/SAT etc

Worry about what you can control, most of the parents doing all the posting, kids aren't going to get any looks anyway.

Agreed! It's a shame that they are leading these kids on to go to more camps. Money for travel team, hotels, travel costs, camps, tournaments - on and on. The NCAA needs to stand up to the coaches and say enough is enough, let the kids find out where they truly stand in June before another round of payments.

Please explain what exactly coaches are doing to lead your daughter on? Give specifics. I hope it is more than a "personalized" email sent to every girl in a program's database. I don't think some of you understand just how many girls never attend a summer camp at schools they receive offers from, and some don't attend summer camp at the school they commit to until after committing.

Tournament organizers tend to bunch the top teams together. It looks like for Live, Love, Lax, the top 2021 teams are spread out among 4 of the pools. Curious as to the motivation for doing that. This is not a tournament with a playoff so why not put the top teams together?

Totally agree. I think it's pretty common knowledge that YJ, M&D and SW are the best 3 teams in this age. Why are they in separate divisions in a showcase? All three of them have pretty easy games for the most part and should win them by close to double digits. Not sure what coaches learn about the girls watching them play lesser teams. The divisions were setup like there would be playoffs where the top teams could meet.

Capital Blue looks very, very good. They have to be considered one of the top teams in this age group.

Maybe one year Steps will actually play in the A division and have to beat good teams in full games to get to playoffs instead of winning a couple short games by stalling.

Or.... congrats to them, all the best teams were there and they managed to come out on top. Don’t think it rewrites the pecking order, but good for them for winning. Most surprised by the M&D win over Skywalkers. Goes to show you, any given Sunday.

Why would that be surprising? While SW has won the last couple years the games were always close and many times SW had to come back late to win. Prior to that M&D dominated them. Not like M&D suddenly forgot how to play lacrosse.

Steps has NEVER beaten M&D, SW or YJ in a full game. They've never beaten M&D at all. They managed to stall through 22 minutes games a couple times against SW and YJ the last 2 years.

Your director has written this team off. Heard him telling the Brown coach (shockingly within earshot of people) that this team is nothing like his 2020 team, no one that he could whole heartedly recommend to her, but he has some good girls at 2022 that she should look at, on the sideline of one of their games. What does that say about how hard he is working for that team.

He should have sent the Brown coach over to the liberty game. LOL . At least he is working and being honest! Some club directors do nothing.

That is a total garbage statement. Look at the brackets. Look at where YJ Rose was placed and many other top teams. Outside of one bracket where M&D and Skywalkers were in the same bracket, all other brackets were competitively similar. The tournament bracketing at LFTC has always been designed for many years for the top teams to make the playoffs. Doesn't always happen as the games need to actually be played on the field, but that is how it is designed and always has been. A lot of bitterness towards STEPS. Where were the LI teams? Oh they lost.

All this talk about Steps, YJ, M&D and SW and no mention of the team that is emerging as one of the best in this age group, Capital. They played in by far the hardest bracket last weekend, beating M&D in the process, and lost in the final by 1. They beat SW in Florida last fall. I think they will make a statement at G8. Mass Elite is very, very good too. It is a shame Steps and SW are not in the bracket with YJ, M&D and Capital and Mass Elite.

Be careful what you wish for. Check the G8 schedule again.
Skywalkers was just moved to the same bracket as YJ, M&D, Capital and Mass Elite.
Now the games begin. Should be an awesome tournament.
You notice that Steps is staying in the Kiddie Pool (Red Division). They should join the Adults in the White division by switching with Heros.
G8 and LFTC must be run by Steps with this much protection in the division structures for both tournament.

Does anyone even care about this garbage anymore? They are 2021's. These are all showcases and no one gives a garbage about "which team is better". Its about getting evaluated by coaches. And they are evaluating you also on the sideline yelling at the refs. Go back to the 2026 page. Please stop living through your kids.

lol. Assume you know they are both run by Steps. laxnovice is living up to their name if they really think Steps ever plays in tough divisions.

The Showcase games are always different and not a true representation as some teams play everyone in showcase games and others do not.

The week of UA 150 is a huge week for on campus camps. Most coaches will be home at their own camps.

For example Penn State is listed as a coach attending the UA150 and they have their own camp that same week.

M&D Black goes 1-2-1 at Great 8. Never thought I’d see that.

It’s not that surprising. M&D was dominant when the girls were in 8th grade and some of them peaked then. Most teams have caught up to them and parity now exists. Check out their full body of work over the past couple of seasons. Not nearly as impressive as middle school yeats.

Hats off to Mass Elite Red. They have established themselves as undisputed #1.

We were stuck at Northern Rise. No Coaches and played local teams.

And to a resurgent Heros team; they played Mass Elite and SW to one goal games and beat M&D. The competition at Club Championships should be great.

M&D were never dominate. They used to trade wins with a few of the best teams, last few years they couldn’t even do that. Probably the only team that a a mini stretch of dominance was Skywalkers and that pretty much ended last year. And who is the joker crowning Mass Elite because of results at a showcase? They are good but seriously if you wanted to place them it’s certainly not at the top, 4-6 range maybe.

M&D was totally "dominant" and beat everyone badly until the talent started to consolidate - as it always does - to a few teams when the girls entered 8th grade. Mass Elite just beat everyone in the age group head to head so they are the best team until someone beats them. It is a shame that they only overlap with all of the Baltimore/DC teams at G8. The competition this weekend should be great as everyone will be playing to win.

There is a D1 spot for almost everyone. Can you be more specific with your predictions?

M&D won over 100 games straight from 6th to 8th grade and didn't lose a single game in 7th grade. Seems like a pretty dominant run to me.

Showcase tournaments that dictate equal playing time and talent consolidation change things. Any of these teams can beat each other on any given day now.

Not patting self on back. Daughter plays for YJ. Just correcting ridiculous comment that M&D was never dominant. Guess you didn't bother to read the second paragraph about every team able to beat each other now.

How awesome has the 2021 class become? The talent level is breathtaking and amazing. The top 6-8 clubs have a chance at winning against each other. The parity has made this such an exciting group to watch. 1 or 2 dominant teams made this age group boring during the middle school years. I am sure that the college coaches are chomping at the bit for September 1st. Congratulate your daughters for all of their hard work and dedication. They all deserve the opportunities they will receive.

Who do you consider the top 6-8? Mass Elite #1, YJ, Capital, SW, M&D in no particular order after Mass Elite. That is 5. Heros, Steps and who would be the last top 8 team? Not trolling, just curious.

So walk us through the logic that has you self proclaiming undisputed #1??? Yes we saw your post after the G8 showcase., where you squeaked by some teams in a showcase, great job All the very top teams that may be considered to take top spot trade wins, and do so at the championship format tournaments. None of them are so bold to claim to be undisputed #1. All these teams go to the same tournaments all summer long, take turns wining the big tournaments. What exactly did Mass Elite do that you keep posting undisputed#1?

Mass Elite would fall at the bottom of the top 10 simply because they have won NOTHING this year, they did have a decent record in SHOWCASES. We all know that the top clubs played all their girls evenly despite the scores! The idea of the showcases is to exactly as the name says, showcase your players to the coaches in attendance. Apparently Mass Elite took them as their chance to attempt to claim the top spot. They should have attended the Mid Atlantic Summer Club Championship where the top teams were playing to win! But they did not show up! I’m sure they will post some excuse as to why! Our club, YJ absolutely played our girls evenly in the showcases as to get every girl in front of the coaches. If anyone says different, they simply just do not know. Good luck to everyone this coming September! There is plenty of room for everyone to play in today’s college game!

It is only fair to base any rankings off of head to head results. Mass Elite beat everyone in their bracket at G8. Have YJ, M&D, SW, Heros, Capital or Steps beaten them this summer?

I have no time for Mass Elite after their antics last year at Capital Cup. B team was losing to us at halftime in the semifinals and they brought down a bunch A team girls for the second half. Classy.

Fortunately, they lost the finals...

Better question is why doesn't Mass Elite play in Lax for the Cure or Mid-Atlantic? They only play in a showcase here or there.

Only "score" that mattered this summer is how many of your daughter's potential college coaches got to see her play. The only score that matters going forward is how many of them contact her on 9/1. The rest of it is non-sense, always has been....

How do the Long Island teams rate in the 2021 age group - have a friend who is looking to take her daughter to tryouts. Doesn't want to go to YJ - what are next best 3 or 4 options?

I saw Elevate do the same thing this summer. Pathetic. All so the Director can post a pic with the T-shirt on Social Media! Made the girls who didnt play feel really good.

So instead of suggesting Liberty you’re going to make sure everyone knows that Elevate lost to them. Great job! It’s not just about winning. But congrats on that win. Shall we compare Libertys full summer record against almost anyone’s?

I was able to witness some Elevate and Liberty teams play the past few weeks. I witness some great “A” level teams, “B” level not so much. Difference between the 2 organizations is their directors. Elevate’s, while intense, is actually a very caring/fair individual. Conversely, Liberty’s director is a “tyrant, win all or nothing lack of integrity” individual. What ever happened to the “spirit of the game”?

Liberty just named a new director. Danielle Etrasco left Georgetown and will be running club

That is hysterical. Elevate doesn't care about your daughter. You couldn't be more wrong! They care about your money! The only thing Elevate is better at is marketing. Liberty has former women lacrosse players coaching and running their club while Elevate has a former businessman and if you don't think that is true you are sorely mistaken and I don't have a daughter playing on either club and have no skin in the game.

Ha. if you put $40 in an envelope , he'll tell you about the club and what they have to offer.

Better question is why doesn't Mass Elite play in Lax for the Cure or Mid-Atlantic? They only play in a showcase here or there.

Only "score" that mattered this summer is how many of your daughter's potential college coaches got to see her play. The only score that matters going forward is how many of them contact her on 9/1. The rest of it is non-sense, always has been....

What he said!

I’m saying that instead of being snarky toward Elevate. Try being positive about your own club. And no Elevate wasn’t in Maine but thanks for proving why people would do well to avoid your club

True - part of the recruiting process are the relationships club coaches have with college coaches. DG has those relationships from the time she has spent playing and coaching in womens lacrosse. That is something Elevate clearly does not have as they do not have a director [ChillLaxin] has ever played or coached a womens game at any college level. So yes, those are good relationships to have.

We didnt just play in Maine. We played in Mass as well and all of our Elevate teams won every division in that tournament.

Mass Elite typically plays in Live Love Lax. They got shut out this year and did the Champions Cup instead

Live love lax is also a showcase. Question was why don't they play in Lax for the Cure or MidAtlantic which are championship formats and coaches play to win.

Don't come on here bragging about winning showcase games saying Mass Elite is the clear #1 2021 team in the country when they only play showcases.

Sorry I misspoke. They did Live Love Lax (that’s the one in November) but not Lax for the Cure (in June). They typically do Lax for the Cure but got shut out this year and did Champions Cup instead. I’m not sure I agree with your premise that only winning championship formats counts and teams don’t play to win in showcase tournaments. But nonetheless it was just circumstantial that the team didn’t play in Lax for the Cure this year.

Of course teams play differently in showcases. Everyone has to play half the game. In championship tournaments playing time isn't equal and the better girls play more.

Eh. So then you can make the argument that their team is stronger all around if they win with all the girls playing equal time.

Here is what I know. Based on the many years of doing battle with all the top ten teams, there are 3 maybe 4 teams that I know nearly all the people from all these teams would likely deem as the best. Yes there would be some variation on which team is the best and many opinions, But no one would vote for Mass Elite. Except of course this person on here self proclaiming Mass Elite as clear cut undisputed #1. Plus I bet you it is one parent and surely not the entire team who think this. I’m sure the other parents must be embarrassed at this ridiculous claim. T

Who beat Mass Elite this summer?

The best measure of a high quality club team is a showcase where everyone plays equally. The top 2-3 teams show little to no drop off when they sub and their players are largely interchangeable. I would question my child’s place on the team is she was part of the group that caused the team to lose in a showcase format. Do the top teams even have girls that don’t play or play sparingly?

^^Yes exactly.

But Mass Elite also is the top girls overall for the state, second I guess to Laxachusetts. All the top talent in eastern MA is concentrated in one club. In Maryland and Long Island, there’s 4-5 (more?) very high quality clubs. For a big metro area where lacrosse is strongly on the rise, that’s a big advantage to ME.

What a notIntelligent statement. Of course the top teams have girls that don't play or play sparingly in championship tournaments. You really think YJ, M&D and SW are playing everyone in those games? All these teams have tiers of girls. Showcases every girl plays at least half of each game. In championship tournaments the coaches try to even things out over the weekend and the girls at the bottom of the roster will start and play a lot in the games against weaker teams while the better players sit.

TG kids don't even play in show cases, very sad to watch kids writing college coaches and then sitting 2 out of 4 games - SS should be ashamed of herself
