Here is some interesting news on Team 91. A week before the NLF Championship, they have announced that each 2025 player needs to fork up an extra $75 to participate. Not all of the 91 teams have to pay, just the ones with the sucker parents.

2025 Suckers pay for the 91 favorite teams to play. Tryouts for next batch of suckers in 2 weeks.

Thats completely true. Total BS. They said that team was to get 5 summer tournaments. Now saying that only covering part of 5th tournament. Absolute violation of contract with parents. They choose the tournaments, so since by contract they said that 5 summer tournaments were covered in tuition then they have to pay full cost of those tournaments.
Parents absolutely should insist 91 pays and not give them another dime.

They also never came through with their 15 weeks of winter training, also by contract stated was included. Because their new facility wasnt done and they wouldnt spend the money booking a training facility in advance. So everything was last minute. And they never had even close to 15 weeks. Yet never refunded for weeks not provided.

I held my nose and paid it and hope other parents decide their little Rabil should skip this one, especially the charity cases that they still have to play every game. If a bunch of the loser kids they’ve been carrying and their loser parents don’t show, then my Jr can load up on PT to end the year.Let’s hope they use the extra $2k to shorten the rosters next year! But do not bet the mortgage on it.

See ya at tryouts, suckers!

Don't forget the sheet they handed out at tryouts - tuition includes a free helmet. Oh, sorry, that was a typo. No free helmet for you. But, we'll sell you one for more than you can buy it retail.

Express you get a helmet, gloves, equipment bag, and warm up as part of the tuition. And any extras they put you in are free. The team may request to add and may be charged, but if the organization puts the team in, it's free.

Yup! Absolutely true. Thats exactly what the sheet said. And then they renegaed on that as well.

Plus not sure if many of you noticied, but during tryouts 91 twittered that players would each get a couple one on one position training sessions. Then they deleted that tweet after rosters came out.

Thats not entirely true.
You get a helmet first year.
Second year you get gloves.
And Express is now on 15 or more tournaments.
They dont eat the cost of these extra tournaments. The players who go have to pay a tournament fee.
If players did not pay Express would be out of business real fast.

Rebels have the right idea with no additional charges through the year, and they are giving a lot of gear and training... lots of buzz going around.

Not true, express didn’t charge me a penny more for me to travel to Maryland and watch my son cheer from the sidelines while the same 15 kids played in every game no matter what the score was.

Fake helmets. Fake indoor training. Fake 91 tournaments with no competition. Real money grab on the last tournament of the year.

91 and Express do exactly the same thing regarding playing time. So many talented kids not playing just bankrolling the organizations directors.
Time for people to wake up and move to other teams.
If the majority of those players left those teams and went to other teams, then there would be many great teams that could hd their own and even do better than 91 or Express.

If your smart you will unite with others who are in the same situation, and tryout together. This way you can be sure what sort of talent is on your new team you join next year.

Nice idea. Bur for a startup team they are charging a lot. They should be far more reasonable starting up.

You need to read the thread genius. I was responding to the following comment.

" Express you get a helmet, gloves, equipment bag, and warm up as part of the tuition. And any extras they put you in are free. The team may request to add and may be charged, but if the organization puts the team in, it's free."

Although I do think the competition at thus tournament was not tbe top level that the Geese used to play at.

However, I would like to see the Geese as one of the top teams again. I think the organization still needs to seriously invest in the team, but I believe it can happen.

Really happy for you. Go Geese!

We’ve had plenty of practices, so that argument doesn’t really hold up, but I have to say the extra $75 is a slap in the face, even if it is the only extra that they have grabbed.

Your charity case son gets cut for starters! Besides yours, 4 kids on the team should have never seen the field this year, even in blowout games!!! After that gets taken care of, 4 or 5 more should get cut just to have a smaller roster.
.
The difficulty for the greedy folks at 91 will be keeping a small roster where the end of the bench doesn’t stink.

First of all loser, you dont even know if I have a son that plays for 91.
I was responding to your disgusting idea that you could refer to anyone as charity cases.
91 coaches should be ashamed to have a parent like you associated with their team.

And lets see stunad, if you cut 10 kids from a normal 22-24 roster then you are left with 12-14 kids. Not enough to field a team.
But as everyone knows 91 added a few mid season that they underhandedly took from another team. So after cutting 10 kids you would have 15-18 kids. Still not an adequate number for a competitive team.
Truly math is not your strong point. Although I doubt you have any strong points.

And doesnt say much for you that you want your son playing for a team where the organization accepts kids, according to your description, to pad their own pockets. As I said before, seems your raising your kid to be a loser just like yourself.
Loser.

You need to follow the thread.
They are talking about the Rebels team and coach on that team.
Not anyone that is at Legacy now.
Has nothing to do with Reilly.
91 parents need to stop inserting their biases into every thread.

Fran. I like him from what I know of him. Seems like a solid guy. We used to play his Islip team all the time and he helped all the kids, even the ones not on his team.

No drama on Express. Great coaching at the grade.

That may be the funniest thing I have read in a long time!!

Best team in the grade. And will likely win this weekend. And no drama or better said, drama creators.

Good group of parents and kids. Way too many kids for one team, but a good group.

Which team are you referring too?

Has to be the Legacy assistant coach Reilly. One bad dude.

No. Follow the conversation. They said they were referring to the Rebels.
Reilly is not with the Rebels.
They must be referring to the old assistant coach of Legacy.

Fran. I like him from what I know of him. Seems like a solid guy. We used to play his Islip team all the time and he helped all the kids, even the ones not on his team.

Good to hear. Dont know much about him, so I hope everyrhing works out for him at Rebels.

Be real. Read the threads. Express does exactly the same, not playing kids. Parents on this blog have confirmed.

Yup, to be fair only criticism is the rosters. No drama, might be some short term drama with the two A team thing potentially happening. But I think any kids moved down will leave. Because with 91 forming a 2nd team, Geese on the rebuild and Rebels forming, Plus there are a lot of very good teams like Igloo, rebels (old Ducks), Knights, True Blue and Force. They’ll be a lot of choice and a lot of opportunities I would guess. And I am sure I left some teams off. But all good.

Rebels are not the Old Ducks.
Rebels are formed from Brennan who was with the Outlaws.

LI rebels is the old Ducks.
Ducks coaches broke away because they didnt want to be under Dynamic Lacrosse anymore.
